I think bringing gens into it would be a little confusing... Normally the highest gen is the curren model, but with the 2.5" mates and stuff it would get crazily confusing (or perhaps Im just old)

Alternate skin is a can do. Any requests? The multiverse for bots skin is a less bandwidth intensive one that the web-bots hit, as those beasties can really blow your bandwidth for the month.

And back to Speed Racer - is there going to be an animated television series or are they only going to be shorts released online? Just make sure they send them to you not via other people. (bygones) Online and packed with some of the toys IIRC

Ahhh memories... I was just reminiscing about how I got to the point where I have a small armada of minimates..... My journey went thus: "I'll just buy the X-Related characters" "I'll just get the Marvel stuff" "I'll just get the Comic book stuff" "I'll just get 2"ers" "I may as well get LOTR" "I might as well collect ALL minimates" and now Im at the "Ooooh package variants" stage... How was it for you guys, did you dive right in with a "must get them all" attitude or did the addiction grow on you?

Something tells me if people had one for trade they would have mentioned it Im still debating if this deserves upgrading to the mantle of "Rarest C3 Set" or if Mr Javelin is still the hardest to get.

Use of images on a web/fan site is one thing Use of images on a T-Shirt is another. You obviously dont charge people to view your site, people will however be paying money for the T, regardless of if the cost is only for materials or not. Its not far related from selling customs, which AA dont have a problem with, but even so I REALLY dont want a T-shirt advertising my site doing the rounds with AA imagery on without explicit permission from AA.

I dunno if Marvel would have succeeded in 3", 3" mates jsut dont seem very.... mini... Im with you on the "Marvel license forced scale change idea", but perhaps it was also down to cost and the notion of 2-packs vs individual figures.

I think it was a combination of perculiar licenses coupled with some less than stellar marketing that did it. DST are the saviours of Minimates in my book.
