  1. So, anybody else's shop not get these even though they ordered them?
  2. Found two of them at a local Walmart, now there's just one there I've got to say, everything that I was worried about (the weird fingers, the weathering, the nose cone) I actually really like. Great toy over-all!
  3. *sigh* $18 shipping on a $25 order. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet though, because I needs me that Armor Spidey. (I see, AFX is based in Hawaii. So that may explain the high shipping. I'm still hesitant about ordering though.)
  4. Yeah, if they want to stick with the short limbs and odd chest, and go for a more block figure sort of look. That or lengthen the legs and fix the chest, and go for the mini action figure look. As it is, in the middle of those, I just don't care for most of them.
  5. It's like they're stuck between block figures and regular figures, and the result is a bizarrely proportioned, detailed figure. If they would have held back on some of the sculpting, that could have worked, or if they pushed the proportions a little bit more (like a larger head maybe), that could have worked. As it is, they just look like a mistake; the legs are too sort and the chest is too wide.
  6. I hope this means that they'll finally ship my LCS's order for BSG wave 2 and ST wave 1. The owner claims that he had them ordered and they never sent them. He has called three times, and all they tell him is that yep, he still has them ordered.
  7. I'd blame WalMart and Hasbro. Now, I have no idea what actually happened, but Hasbro is usually at Walmart's mercy. If Walmart doesn't want something done, Hasbro can't force them to do it. So I don't know why we should get our anti-Hasbro pitch forks ready, when it may not be their fault.
  8. I would like to get a Doc, but I just don't care for these comic version color schemes. I'd like to get a Scarlett, having passed on the Joe 5-pack, but I don't know about that brighter yellow. I may just get the individual one. Destro is a little tempting to swipe the chrome head, and the Breaker is neat with the bubble gum, but I'm just not a fan of the more generic looking Joes like this guy. And I've never liked the Dreadnoks (aside from Zartan). *Sigh*
  9. Gah! I wish I still had those vehicles. I have the figures still, but got rid of their ships.
  10. I'm sure someone will be able to eventually. From what I've heard from three confirmed (pics of receipts and stuff) sightings so far, most of the stores that get them will have at least ten. There have been a few more sightings then that, but still mostly in TX and now MI. It does seem like 10-12 is the average number that stores get in, so hopefully they won't be too scarce. You just have to count on your store getting them in, which is the real crap shoot
  11. Finally found Cobra Legions and Zartan (unfortunately the color change one). Still no signs of wave 2 though...
  12. The Speed Racer Minimates are down to $3.98 at my TRU too. However, the Street Fighter ones wouldn't scan at the price checker. The tag above them said that they were still $7.98, so I didn't bother checking what the registers would say.
  13. The closest Walmart never got in the Alts or Devy. In fact, the only Walmart Transformers exclusive it ever got was Tripredacus Agent (no Rattrap though). *Sigh* I hope that the next closest store gets in Starscream, they did get in a decent number of Alts and Devastators...
  14. I know I bought two, and I probably would have bought the third one too, if someone hadn't already grabbed it. Spare soldiers are always good to have laying around.

  16. Nope. Lousy British press release... But there are a couple of easter eggs that have scenes that didn't make the cut. They are by no means finalized. One was Megatron pulling Michael Bay out of an SUV, the other is the XBox Transformer attacking a woman and tearing at her clothes. The Xbox scene is extremely rough, and the Michael Bay scene is just them filming it in front of a blue screen. I can honestly say, I'm glad that neither of those made it.
  17. Wow, yeah, that's not true. I saw a Best Buy employee open a case, there were four figures in the box--two Megatron and two Ratchet. Like I said, the workers probably grabbed a few before putting them out. That'd be my guess anyway.
  18. From what I've heard, most of the narration is by Mark Ryan. Peter Cullen just does a few lines. I know all the ads say differently, but looking at the comics again, it is mostly narrated by Bumblebee. Which could be good to, you'd actually be able to hear what Bumblebee sounds like, other than those two lines in the movie. I hear he's actually quite British (which makes sense since Mark Ryan is).
  19. I decided to pass of the Walmart one. Sadly, it's just what I thought it was--the IDW Prequel comic condensed into a 20 min Flash animation, and the only characters that have their voice from the movie are Prime and Bumblebee. Megatron is Frank Welker though, and some of the non-voice actors from the movie do some of the other voices. The fact I already have two versions of the movie weighs heavily on that decision though.
  20. All of the stores in my area got one of each. That's odd, considering a case is two of each. I think your stores had some eager stockboys who may have found a new home for the toys.
  21. I still haven't found wave 2, let alone wave 3...
  22. Huh, the black Venom Vs Valor Cobra Commander is the main reason I'm looking forward to this set. I may have to find a cape for him though...
  23. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=153814 That makes it sound like they are pack-ins. $30 for two Robot Heroes is a bit much, but I'll be getting the Metallic Megatron too, so at least I'll save $5 from that. The Target DVD with transforming case will be on sale for $24.99, so that means I'll be spending $70 next Tuesday (Target DVD, Best Buy DVD and Metallic Megs). Ouch.
  24. I'm buying two; the one from Target with the transforming case and the one from Best Buy with the exclusive Robot Heroes (hopefully at least one of those is the two disc set. I think the Target one is, but I've heard mixed reports.). And depending on reviews for the prequel disc, I may just pick up the Walmart version later on down the line. *Sigh* let's just hope that the inevitable collector's edition/special edition/extended edition/director's cut/whatever they'll call it doesn't come out too soon then.
  25. His head is part of his "Auto-Morph" feature, you just need to make sure that you lock the roof of the car in place on the back. Keep pushing the roof until you feel it click into place, then the neck piece should stay correctly.
