I only intend to include the boxes if they are requested. I dont want to do all the work only for the box to be discarded when they get it LOL

So for any of you guys that follow my customs, I have a bit of exciting news! I have created a logo for myself , a modified version of my avatar I made ages ago, and I am now offering custom boxes with them =) The boxes look nearly identical to the official ones and feature concept art of my other customs on the back. I'll try to get some better pics up soon but I was excited to share. Let me know what you guys think!

I actually saw these a few days ago and in all honesty, I quite like them and will definately be picking them up. The translucent Dr. Manhattan is awesome!

I do agree though that regular Kubricks or Minimates would be much cooler though...

I was trying to wait till everything gets delivered to take a pic but at the rate I am buying these things, I will always be waiting for something LOL I also have a few Spawn ones but those dumb things dont fit in the cases! I now have more display cases than kubricks (I ordered 3 cases of them) but they're so awesome, I couldnt resist a good deal. Halo's complete, 4 more to go on Metal Gear, then I'll start getting all the Batman ones. Gah the addiction!!

A guy by the username "Default" on a mugg forum did some touch ups to Jean Grey using photoshop and it looks soooo much better!!! I really hope Hasbro sees this pic before shes released =(

Yessir. They retain all 3 points of articulation LOL I really wish they would give em wrist articulation. It give us a few more options when posing em with their weapons =/

I love that Comedian mugg! It shocks me how you can afford so many, and make so many to such a high standard.

The only customs I actually own of mine are Harley Quinn and Starkiller. All the other customs, with the exception of maybe 3 or 4, were commissions. I have about 22 that I'm working on right now. Someone hired me to do a Batman set with villains, and another hired me to do do a set of 10 Nintendo characters. Pics to come soon =)

So, can you share any secrets about how you do them? Paint? Masking? Genie in a bottle?

And why haven't you done one of these yet?

Customizing muggs isnt all that hard really. The members here who customize minimates are the ones with the talent! Maybe I'll do a tutorial thread one of these days but all I do is prime the mugg, sketch the design onto the mugg with pencil, paint it using various brands acrylics, then go back and do the outling with black to make everything look clean. Lastly, I spray em with an acrylic sealer. Its actually really fun and I'd encourage everyone to try it!

And as far as the "Postman" custom you linked, well, ummm, I dunno what to say about that one LOL

The most disturbing thing about Kubricks is how they change your perception about what is "expensive" and what isn't.

Haha that statement couldn't be anymore true. Its a bit frightening how easily I let myself buy that Alligator Snake. Never thought I would spend that much on one figure. I hope I have a little more restraint though when I start on the Star Wars Kubricks. I'm already telling myself that $280 for the boxset with Luke w/Yoda on back isnt that bad price wise LOL

In all honesty, its probably better if one collects Kubricks first, and then gets into minimates later. That way you're already willing to spend top dollar for a collection. Minimates that go for $30-40 begin to look inexpensive then what you're used to seeing.

That Snake is my sole remaining Kubrick "grail." I bet he wasn't cheap! I couldn't justify his price right now. If I was going to spend big bucks on a Snake w/ gator head, I would go with this:

No, definately not cheap at all LOL Came out to $155 shipped. Other than the elusive olive drab one, I figured I would get most expensive figure I needed out of the way. I really wanted him though =) Do you know how much the olive drab one typically goes for? Haven't seen one on ebay...

The figure in that link is pretty awesome! The Alligator mask is so realistic, it must look hilarious when hes wearing it.

So this thread has been quiet for a while now and figured it could use a new post =)

Through the help of 2 generous members here, my Metal Gear Kubrick collection is growing strongly! Yesterday on ebay, I picked up the Snake with Alligator mask and a case of 20 Kubrick display cubes for them. That Snake was my biggest want so its cool to say I finally own him. If anyone cares, I'll post a pic once everything arrives =)

So anyone else pick up anything cool Kubrick wise? Hear any interesting news?

hate to say it but I am surprised it opened at 8th...I thought a bit better then that but somehow knew it was not gonna hit number one....

Exactly my thoughts too. I was really surprised that it only made 4 million for the whole weekend. Its this years "Gigli" I actually went to the midnight showing and there were like 15 people total haha The movie itself was pretty awesome and very entertaining though and it did make me want the boxset more. Espescially since we now know who the "Jigsaw thug" actually is =)

Ahhh Jigsaw is awesome! Your Ultimate Nightcrawler is still my favorite though =) Seriously, great job on all of these!

Time for another Update! Put some of the troopers back in their boxes for now to make some space for all the new ones that came out. Finally completed my Skrull army too =) The Skrull is my new favorite.The last pic has a bunch of commissions I need to ship out... as you can tell I'm procrastinating LOL

Venom's second chest piece looks to be the symbiote when Eddie makes it appear to be a jacket. You can see the zipper going up the front. Looks cool!
