I'm not too much of a fan. I understand why they do it though. It's easier to rely on a painted face on the mask piece than it is to get the painted face on the head to line up perfectly with the mask. For example, I did cut out the BD Batman face before I did a custom, and the cowl went too far down, covering up his mouth.

Almost Ollie is in it very briefly, and there's sort of a hint that he's the Green Arrow, but no appearance of him in costume. Pretty much the heroes that I made are the ones in costume in the book.

jcastick - Just give it some time, DC will show theirs. They need more Batman variants at least TM2 - Yeah, it's just a coincidence that the lasso was the perfect size to fit around a Minimate's arms when they put together. They wanted me to do it.

It's really quite hard to define who is a hero and a villain in Red Son, because it's really everyone working for what's right. It's really worth a read. And no, there is no Joker.

Initially it did, but the sculpted goggles were just too unflexible. If the rest of the helmet was bent in any way, they would crack. It's just a BD Superman head underneathe

Thanks for the comments everyone! Not to worry, before I'm gone, I round off the set with Green Lantern. I guess this set would have to be one of those five packs from back in the day, because two packs wouldn't work. Could have Bizarro be the "hidden" figure Might get rid of the chin strap, looks a bit too busy Next time: Superman True Brit! No...not really.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it is easily my favorite Elseworlds story ever. It starts off with a great idea, Superman in Russia, but then the way the adapt characters like Bizarro and the Green Lanterns is just amazing. And all the character designs are just great. I really would like to see some more stories from this universe made. The only thing that I think could have used some work was Batman. His role was great, and his design was especially great. But there's no explanation for why he went with bats. It was said best on this toy review

Yay! Days after I make my Superman and Wonder Woman Red Son customs, these guys are shown. Oh well, for now the customs will just be placeholders. They still haven't shown the others I've made though

Thanks for all the comments! Deadpool, if I so have a crazy strange gift, I'm definetly making my most wanted before yours. Wait...that would mean I would just keep making characters I really want, only to find I wasted my time, because a real one is going to be released. I'm going to only make Jimmy Olsen empowered with a strange, troublesome, single-issue-lasting superpower from now on! Hundreds of them! From every time it happened. Actually, if they make a Red Son Batman, it would probably because they already have Supes planned, like the Battle Damaged ones. Anywho, I forgot to include a link to the original design for my Red Son Bats. And I repainted his cape, so the dirt splatters look better (I didn't include a back pic originally for a reason.) Coming up in DC Minimates series 9, it's Red Son Batman! Or, at least if the trend continues. But hey, at least they didn't do silly variants of the big 3, and went straight to some real ones. Anywho, the next one in the Red Son series: Will probably be going on a customizing break soon. So it's probably back to designs. But at least I have Illustrator now.

I guess the pattern goes: If I design something, then actually make it, DC will make a real one. So you guys know what's next right? Superman-Batman of Earth X!!!!

Ha ha, well, at least I don't have to make extras now, eh? I still intend to make Batman and Lantern, because they still haven't shown them yet. They are definetly on the to-do list. They're also the only two that aren't simple repaints of their normal selfs.

Now that's an idea I like. Problem is, finding a good charity to match it with. I think it's all in how you word it. It could be something like Charitymates: From the Past; For the Future and still benefit the Carbon Fund. Now that's thinkin'!

Thanks for all the comments Dante_X: I could have used a Battle Damaged one, but I really wanted a calm expression, but I eventually used the BD's cape, repainted. Another one finished surprisingly quickly Red Son Bizarro Unlike my original design, Bizarro here is from about two seconds into his fight with Superman, after he gets severely owned by heat vision. This guy was really my favorite part of the whole Red Son story, along with the Green Lanterns. Speaking of the Green Lantern, I'm going away for the weekend, and then I only have one more week before I go back to college. So hopefully I can finish of Lantern and Batman before then.

Red Son Superman time! Just started this a couple hours ago, and finished a couple minutes ago. And, of course, if you want to see the original design I'm going to get the DC Mates Superman head and cape on him as soon as I find one. Till then, Supe...er....Sentry.
