  1. Very clever use of those Legos. I've eyeballed the Hall of Armors set many times at Hastings.
  2. Daredevil looks badass in that broken window!
  3. Fixed, thanks! And thanks for that avatar; very flattering!
  4. Thanks, Netglow! Here's one more: Tragg Attack! by Monte Williams, on Flickr
  5. I have nothing to add, except that this thread is financially dangerous!
  6. Thanks, folks. Here are a few Ninja Turtle shots: Dimension X Changes a Fella by Monte Williams, on Flickr Meanwhile, I'm wanting to put together a MiniMate kitbash of The Kid from Dick Tracy; the scale is such that a MiniMate figure standing alongside a Mez-Itz would look like a kid. Unfortunately, the only MiniMate with a yellow trench coat seems to be Jubilee, who is expensive. If anyone has any recommendations for old-fashioned coats, hats, etc., and/or for any MiniMates with especially childlike faces, please let me know! (I'm leaning towards Peter Pan Michael's head). Here's the Dick Tracy, which I'm sharing mostly because Mez-Itz are completely different now and I want to avoid confusion: Mezco Mez-Itz Dick Tracy by Monte Williams, on Flickr The Grandest and Most Squalid City That Ever Was by Monte Williams, on Flickr Thanks in advance for your time and help!
  7. I recently photographed a MiniMate for the first time in a couple-few years: MiniMates Lara Croft by Monte Williams, on Flickr
  8. "the last thing an over weight zombie crime lord is going to be worried about is a pair of pants." Greatest. Quote. Ever. For some reason, Joker is one of my favorites. For all his simplicity, he just came together really nicely. Of course, it helps that his orange suit evokes the vintage Adventure Team figures.
  9. Now that you're posting on Flickr I never visit this thread; my loss! The nod seemed appropriate considering the number of accessories that he provided the last couple of months. He like the look of the custom when I posted it as a WIP so all I had to do was work him into the story. About the only thing the custom currently lacks would be a couple of Puppet Master's micromates for custom figures and a blowtorch or at the very least a box of matches. When I get them I might even carefully singe one up just to add to the realism. LOL I love that my legacy is burnt toys. And speaking of accessories, I'll finally get that damn pistol to you Thursday.
  10. Why haven't I been receiving e-mail notification of updates to this thread? WHYYYYY?!?!
  11. Prowler strikes again! This time the selfless bastard gave me the second set of ThunderCats! Slithe needs a hug: I want to photograph the others, and maybe set up a battle scene, but it was getting too cold.
  12. Those zombies are great fun, but Earhart takes the prize! She is awesome!
  13. Thanks, guys! I need to photograph the custom MiniMate Brock Samson my buddy Prowlar recently gave me sometime soon, too. Also, libraries are essentially the only thing helping me to maintain my tenuous faith in humanity.
  14. I'm hanging out at the public library to take advantage of their wi-fi (this is to say nothing of the dozens of books I've borrowed from them in recent weeks), and I thought I'd take the opportunity to post a photo of Panthro from yesterday's shoot (my first in two months):
  15. I have no internet at the moment, but I am visiting CSI to apply for jobs, and I took the opportunity to catch up on this thread. Well done, sir! I love every one of 'em! Also, the Sigmas are free again. I'll have to have you over sometime to behold the majesty.
  16. My name is Monte Williams, and I endorse this custom and back story.
  17. Cinderella looks great, and I love the phrase "Glass Slipper Assassin".
  18. Thank you! I favor natural light because it's largely idiot-proof. Thanks! Jaga proved more challenging than I'd expected, for some reason. My favorite is probably Mumm-Ra coming out of the earth. Thank you very much! This was only my second time shooting MiniMates; they are very photogenic! Thanks, man! That one came together very easily, and yet I think it's probably the most satisfying. Aw man, I just wanted the Snowman to have 'im; actually getting to photograph him in the snow and ice hadn't even occurred to me. Now I need him! My friend, I am always ready and willing to photograph anything from your collection! Indeed, since I mostly want a given toy just to photograph it once or twice, it recently occurred to me that what I really want is a toy rental service. If I could pay a buck or two to have a given toy for a few hours and then surrender it, I would be utterly content. Back to your offer: if nothing else, I would love to photograph my 'Cats with your customized ThunderTank. Ooh, and I gotta photograph MiniMates Badlands! Thanks again for the kind words, everyone!
