  1. I think resurrecting a month old thread is fair enough, especially as the resurrection post actually contributes and furthers the discussion. I can't believe someone at Marvel has made such a terrible mistake not once, but three times on the same page! I can see the post room getting a new team mate in the near future. :D

i only see one mistake on the page where are the others?

In the yellow text after 'Previously',2nd line of EACH paragraph ,Rouge-Mort.

  2. If you got the banking to back up the passion, then you could really make some history by being the first person with their own exclusive.

I think (thought) that honour went to Jaycen ,silly-gooser ? He was 'before my time' but from what I gather he actually put his money where his mouth was(is). cue: Ol' time MMMV sage.

  3. P.S. There was never a 4 pack with 4 all SF characters in it. And if there was, I must not be one of the collectors who has more minimates than almost everybody on this forum, and I missed it. May the minimate god strike me dead.

    Will Work 4 Mates

Those listed in the MMMV SF definitive list & the ones I'm looking at right now don't exist then. My God there was no Target...& this is a dream  Chill ,nobody really cares THAT much.

  4. my lcs based in plymouth have some coming over from the states as we speak (i'm waiting on a set aswell) they got naffed of waiting for the UK supplier to get them, they take paypal and ship recorded delivery at no extra cost, their wave one's were £15 a set (without variant) so the wave 2 should be the same :)

    hope this helps

    ltded@blueyonder.co.uk

Just as a matter of interest how much is the variant?

  5. Whilst I accept your explanation, are you saying you were unaware of this until today?

No, I was aware of it the moment our pallet arrived on December 27 and I took the first one out of the carton for review before we began shipping them that day.

I was a printer for 29 years, running my own print business for 20 years, hence my interest in all things 'packaging'. When I see a sticker I see a problem - Old Printing Proverb. This is really none of my business but it's astonishing that you had to find this out in this way.

  6. I've not asked DST about this myself, but we suspect that it was a printing error at the factory. BTTF.com was the exclusive distributor of this product LONG before the packages were even printed up. We signed up pretty much from Day 1, so why the Previews Exclusive logo was printed on the card originally makes no sense other than it seems that someone wasn't paying attention to the work order at the factory. Oh well....

Whilst I accept your explanation, are you saying you were unaware of this until today?

  7. We have a potential sponsor for this project in the UK ,they are well-known for taking on projects of this nature.I'll give you the address : 10 Downing Street, London,UK. Great track record including British Rail,Health Service & the Millennium Dome. One of there current 'future earners' ,the Olympics , is also doing as predicted . The 'Jewel in the Crown' project is a fantastic idea , in a nutshell they have loaned a broke bank over $120,000,000,000 .....can't fail !

All the best for this unique & exciting idea, try & get super spidey piggy on bored (I do know how to spell),he'll help in all sorts of ways.

Ask for Gordon or Allister  Fu-Ken Blanka blankin Hell .

  8. I'd like to thank Reideen for his suggestion of sending myself a 'Secret Santa' gift. it was hard to take at first when you said ''nobody else will'' but it arrived today. It's awesome . I just knew what it was going to be & guess what..it was! I only posted it yesterday as well. Thanks me!

    Thanks again Reideen,great work :D

  9. Also, Stephen, love your business card. :-)

Thanks! Glad that there are true BTTF fans who can appreciate that photo almost as much as I do... :)

We appreciate the very positive feedback you left on our site about the set. So far, the exclusive has been a positive experience for us ever since it finally arrived last week, so hopefully these will sell very swiftly for us and we'll be able to take advantage of doing another exclusive with DST if the opportunity presents itself.

  10. I would like to chime in on something said here. Some people suggested a combined or universal standard. I'd like to point out that that's something that, at least in my neck of the woods, Americans fear. We are determined to keep out sovereignty, no matter the cost. Even if it means peeving off everyone else by shouting "We're America! We're #1!" (even if they got that from us first)

So while on paper it might be a good idea, in practice and even ideology, it'd never work.

But dang. That's still harsh. I never considered Minimates to be "toys". I wonder if it would have helped if they hadn't gone that route.

I'm sad that you are determined to keep out(?) sovereignty ;) & I totally agree about a combined or universal standard ,it would never work ...look what happened to the English language :P

  11. I just got back from my lcs and their having a word with a store in the US to see if they can come up with some sort of deal.

so they would get them within a week of US release and the price would stay around the same (the more they order the cheaper the shipping, the cheaper they can sell them!!!!) i said i would throw it out on here so people still interested in buying from the UK can get them

people that don't know them already send them an e-mail (or me and i'll pass it on!!)

they said they will be selling these as a "2 inch plastic statue featuing 14 point of articulation aimed at mature collectors and not a toy intended for children" makes sense to me ;)

I stated earlier that I spent a lot of time yesterday reading up on EU CE Marking for Toys Directives,it was rivetting  'Products not regarded as toys for the purpose of this directive' lists 21 exemptions ,2 of which are relevant here- exemption 2.detailed scale models for adult collectors &

exemption 6.Folk dolls & decorative dolls & OTHER SIMILAR ARTICLES FOR ADULT COLLECTORS

I (unusually) have sat on the fence too long, we are being treated like mushrooms ,we are being kept in the dark & being fed bullshit by Diamond. If someone like me can figure a way of getting around CE marks & Toy-testing then I'm sure Diamond could have & can if they were interested. My suspicion is that another US retailer will 'miraculously' step in & be the 'Official International Supplier' & it could well be AFX who are a 'Partner' of Diamond. While were on about these CE marks, it is my belief, yet to be confirmed, that the spec. of a generic minimate is required for CE certification & not EACH individual 'mate before it is released. This would explain why the '24' FYE/Suncoast Exclusive has a CE mark when it was never going to be sold in the EU! Just look at the address for Diamond next to the CE mark :sick:post-638-1199280559_thumb.jpg

Medicom by the way got round this with Kubricks quite simplypost-638-1199280522_thumb.jpg

The truth always hurts but please Diamond start telling it.

  12. I frantically spent most of yesterday trawling the net regarding all manner of shite such as EU CE certification of toys ,Diamond Select ,Myspace etc.etc. I came across this as well but decided that this must be old news & I checked with our resident Ol' Thread Master (sspiggy) & he hadn't posted ,& thought it might be news. However I decided if it is true I'd rather let someone else break the bad news. Thanks.
