It is the only item that I'm missing from the entire Star Wars Kubrick collection. There, I've said it, I've got the lot....except that box-set. Just look at the price ........ & that is what I'll have to pay for 5 bits of assembled plastic......not today though :sad: I reckon the seller's name is apt (almost)

Yes,it's what is known as a 'Mail- Away' exclusive. I think you have to be half-Samurai, or at least have a Japanese address.

Maschinen Krieger (aka Ma.k, SAFS,SF3D, Melusine) which are mental money. Kubricks which are similar mental money. I have all the PALZ which were also expensive . I dabbled with Sideshow & have all the X-Files inc. the exclusives.

I am now mentally deranged with no money.

The only other thing I collect is a few Sideshow Marvel statues. Here is their premium format Captain America, next to a little Cap minimate:

I had thought the original civil war spider-man had the extra arms. They did it with Dr. Otto, so it shouldn't have been a huge stretch.

It's kinda hard for me to get excited about anymore Hulk and Iron Man 'mates...however, I definitely want a Wasp and Pym. Are the FA Avengers an upcoming line or a box set? Does anybody know?

Iron Cow says box set. Wasp & Pym sounds like a very British tailor or a very NY aperitif. I'm afraid that if you can't get excited about Iron Man 'mates....there's little hope

Plus, the more you buy, the cheaper it is per item. The difference in shipping between one and three was like less than a dollar.

Man, what I wouldn't give for some Ghostbuster Minimates. . .maybe not my left nut, but probably something nearly as valuable to me. I would definitely trade my dogs for them, and possibly my car.

My first words after breakfast this morning was "Civil War". I sat down & logged onto the AFX web-site ,it's always a good idea to sit down before 'The Shipping News' ,& placed my order. I decided to heed my own advice to others by making it a decent order (cuts down the shitting* costs ). I thought I'd add some 'Rocky 4 packs' ,'24 4 packs' , BTTF 4 packs' ......none in stock! 'Oh well'',I thought, ''I'll have me some Cowboy 'mates'' ....none in stock !..........Bloody Hell...Star Trek 'mates' ? .......none in stock!!!!!!!

Perhaps not the funniest thing I have ever seen (WTF would I know?) but very ,very clever. If DST could get a Guinness-mate into production I reckon Minimates as a line would be secure for years. Guinness-mate? Probably deserves it's own thread don't you think?

I bought the kit weeks ago & haven't even broken the cellophane yet. I saw this one on ebay & it arrived last week. I feel like a cheat but no way would I have made as good a job as this guy did,it's even got a polished wood base that it's mounted on.

Heroes? Great show but I wonder how well more 'civilian' 'mates will do. The size of 'mates dictates that they need an uniform or costume to be instantly recognisable & therefore sell, I am not sure the 'Heroes' characters have that capability, I hope so.

Well, Claire does have that cheerleader uniform and they could do a Hiro-as-a-Samurai mate (I'm not that into Heroes but I'd love one of those), but otherwise it'll be pretty civvie-focused yeah... although you could say the same for the 24 line (and most of the BTTF one too), and they seem to be doing well...

Hey,nobody want's any Minimate line to fail ,especially me. When I posted I was going to add ,as you have ,"except for Hiro & Claire" but decided that even they would perhaps struggle once out of the 'Heroes' packaging. Same goes for 'Lost',we'll get a 'Kingpin /Penguin' Hurley & distinctive Locke (no hair)& a 'Jack Bauer' Jack(unshaven) ...a tad predictable. Are 24 Minimates doing well?

FA means something quite different in the UK! As for First Appearance Avengers.....F**k**g Amazing ,I am absolutely thrilled we're getting these. I'm looking forward to the Civil War set but these will be ...I'm actually struggling for superlatives...bloody brilliant. I loved tha AF Spider-man incarnation recently & now these.... These were 'my' Avengers way back before most of you lot were 'glints in your dad's eyes'. One thing that would be interesting to know is what size the Pyms will be. I know the answer but wouldn't it be amazing if they were smaller,even half -size. It won't happen though will it ? I really can't wait for these . Heroes?
