  1. Way to go, now you have me trying to combine the shield and sword.
  2. So I'm sitting here playing with my red and blue Vorins and I'm wondering what is on the back of the shield? I've read two reviews that called the protrusion a second handle and while that does seem to allow the SDCC Vorin with the lowered cape to be able to hold the shield in a more upright position, it doesn't really look like a handle and seems to fit into the hand better with the shield upside down. I thought it might be able to be plugged into the hole on the back, but the hole is a little too small. (But that woulda been pretty cool) I was just wondering if that really is a second handle and if it's not, what is it for? (I may be over thinking the whole design here)
  3. Ooo, these last two waves finally have stuff to make me buy Halo Minimates The two main characters, MC and Cortana was a great pack, but now I can get Donut, Griff, Caboose and Sarge?! I only started playing Halo this year, but I've been a fan or Red vs Blue for years. I also like the look of the half camo Spartan.
  4. That's a good point, IIRC DST only designed these, while Icon Heroes made them right? Should people maybe try contacting Icon Heroes for replacement parts?
  5. Just got my blue Vorin in the mail yesterday, wish I had waited for these $14 BIN I keep seeing all of a sudden, but I'm still happy with him. I like the Blue better than Red (just personal color choice) but I really can't wait for the full color ones now.
  6. I believe the Mini Men are made by Character Building, apparently JDNA is just a distributor of Character Building toys outside the UK: http://www.characterbuildingtoys.co.uk/information/abroad/ I've seen them at Target in their collectible card aisle by the registers. I've thought about grabbing some but really the only ones I'd want are the Zombies and I think I heard those were the ultra rare ones
  7. Especially if it's a Ghost Rider one (most any of them actually) In fact you could do a Johnny Blaze type of cycle, then repaint it without the front shield and it could be a cycle for Logan. 1 mold = two needed cycles.
  8. Huh, mine must have had some excess glue or something, I pried till I felt it was no longer safe to pry and it held fast. The sides under the doors were also pretty stuck but they finally popped loose.
  9. You were able to get it apart!? Once I realized the nose of the car seemed to be holding the two halves together, I went straight to the working with toothpicks method Maybe you had some mold release residue still on your dash, the stickers on mine stuck well without glue. Here's some pics I took of my KITT: http://thetoyverse.com/?p=6746
  10. It also depends on what minimates you're looking for. The stores around me are set up like this: Marvel Minimates (Comic or movie related) - Same aisle as Marvel Universe/Marvel Movie Toys (Sometimes the Spiderman Aisle) MAX Minimates - Clearance area (Typically at the end of the Marvel Movie Aisle) Universal Monsters/Video Game Minimates - Collectibles Aisle (This is the new aisle next to the movies)
  11. Gloss and semi-gloss are similar. Gloss will give you more of a glass looks while semi-gloss typically looks like slightly shiny plastic. Flat should look dull. This is just my experience with most paints, I've only ever has gloss clear coat, but I'm assuming they're the same as the regular paints
  12. I'm assuming he just did all of the symbols as a precaustion, all I've heard about rubbing off is Lion-O's belt. I too would like to know if the brush works fine since that's the only clear coat I have right now
  13. Whipped this pic together this morning while playing with KITT
  14. Apparently Ross (Dress for Less) discount stores have started getting this wave in: So far out of three stores, I've only found the two above sets. It seems each store only getts one 2 pack each
  15. I think the villains set could be used to make a few He-Man figures fairly easily
  16. I know my local TRU seems to get shipments on Thursdays, but that's not always been the case since a few years ago, Wednesday was their stock day (Or maybe that's backwards) Ask the workers at TRU, they'll typically tell you when they get shipments. Like buttheadsmate said, a network of helpful members can be a great help since different stores in different towns get different amounts of items. (A TRU in the next town over can always be counted on having a lot of exclusives while the one in my town is a crapshoot)
  17. Here ya go, "Cobra Claws are Coming to Town" http://www.joetoonarchive.com/displayimage.php?album=69&pos=279
  18. Never saw that one, but sounds like the GI Joe episode where everyone got shrunk and Polly was enarged and saved the day........
  19. Sounds like a deal! I just pulled the trigger on a $20 blue Vorin myself (I figure that's around what they'll even out to price wise anyway)
  20. As for the line, I'm with undeadpool, I'm looking forward to the characters we haven't gotten more than the shades of Vorin out there (Though I do still need to get myself a blue one )
  21. It's possible he meant a few exclusives and not a few golds (Although we were really only talking about the Golds)
  22. I wish I had any idea at all of what to make Maybe I can come up with something soon
  23. I had a similar problem with Iceman from the First Class box set. In Iceman's case he looked like he had some goo on his head (I think it was probably some left over mold release that was still there before the paint was applied) so when I wiped it off, some of the paint came away as well. It's possible your Lion-O suffered a similar fate
  24. I am very impressed with the beasts. I think I like the snake the best, but they're all good. I do hope that the bat can get a version with spread out wings.
