Okay, if any one HASN'T seen this show, shame on you. Go watch it right now. Seriously, what are you still doing here, go see it. I was thinking about this today about how much I LOVE this show. Borderline obsessive. I was surffing around, drooling over the new toys, when I stumbled on these cuties. http://www.hobbystock.jp/item/view/HBY-GTF-00000111 Now, I got to thinking. I'd kill for Minimates of these. As far as I know, no one in the US has the lisence yet. There is a small but growing RABID fanbase both here and in Japan. You could market them in both countries, giving Minimates a foot hold in Japan. There are a lot of characters, 5 main ones, 4 secondary, which allows for a wide range of characters. That and there are a ton of variations in their costumes and outfits and hairstyles, allowing for exclusives and variants. So in short, I'd kill for Haruhi Suzumiya Minimates. How do we suggest them and possess them?

I'm barely over 18, but don't want to be. I'd be screwed if it wasn't for mass market ones and Ebay and the good people here. None of the comic stores around here want to sell them, let alone less than $15 a 2pack.

So really you weren't looking for opinions on if you should do this or not, but rather feedback on what it would take to get us to buy this line? Fascinating. Must be 2". Scrap the idea of bigger playsets, or have the carrier be cardboard. Remember, less is more. You should concentrate on the little guys as those are the things that make or break the line.

Holy crap how did I miss this?! That's totally amazing! Any one else find it amusing that they're using all lego parts for MM people? Even the heads and lightsabres are legos.

Let me put it this way. I'd buy these. They're minimates. That's the catch right there. You make it, we buy it. That's just how it works. But do not, do NOT, do NOT make them on anything other than the 2" scale. 2.5"+ and you've lost my money.

That right there, limit to 1000. Then call it quits. That is all. I do find it interesting that as little as 2 months ago, people were SCREAMING for generic mates, as police men and fire men. Now that they have a chance, no one is interested.

My guess is AOA Wolverine and maybe a bone claws Wolverine are on the slate for production in the upcoming waves. I 'd be more inclined to say it's the different claws we've seen on the X3 minimate. Dinobot care to clarify? T. Now I really wish I'd have gotten pics. The new claw hands are much more blade like and angular, and they actually come out of the end of the hands, not the top.

I highly doubt it. That and it was a long weekend, so some of my info may be a bit hazy. So for right now I think it'd be best to consider all this a rumor straight from the horse's mouth. As for Trek mates, I don't think he was referring to no Trek mates at all, but rather get used to the action figures, and don't count on an entire series of mates. *shrug* Just the way I took it. The DST/DCD 2" thing. He said that they wanted all mates to be 2" across the board. It makes it better in scale, regardless of how be they should be compared to eachother. There is NO WAY they can get the rights for more than 2" in Marvel, so they wanted every one to be the same height. Makes sense. Personally, I'm sorry DCD was being stubborn. Minimates should be 2", period. Any bigger should be because of accs. (like the Cylons) Matt even agreed with me and said the LotR was a special case in which it made sense to have them bigger.
