  1. Yeah, I hear ya. Why don't you just go play your dumb Xbox and leave us Wii people alone!! You guys, with all your fancy gamer tags and video marketplaces . neo
  2. I agree, the long number is a pain, but it's much better than DS. At least now you only have to know 1 number. On the DS you have to have a "Friend Code" for each online game. Now that was stupid! neo
  3. There is a "Classic Controller" that you can buy seperatly. It's actually really awesome. I love it! You don't have to have it. The VC games can be played with a GameCube controller or the NES games can be played with the Remote turned sideways. But the Classic Controller makes for a much better controller. They really should have included it, but you can pick one up for $19.99. neo
  4. Sorry to double post, there was something else I wanted to mention. Last night I Emailed myself from my Wii. Now, I can comunicate with my Wii at any time. To get it started, you have to imput an email address into your Wii address book. Than, it sends a letter to the Email to verify that you accept communication with the Wii. By doing that you simply reply to the message. Here is what it says: So, there you have it. Not only does your Wii get a exclusive number, but also an Exclusive Email Address. I don't know if I have to register each Email first or if anyone can just Email me at any time if I give them my Wii Email. I'm working on that. Anyway, it seems my Wii number is: 7136 5100 5571 4330 And my Wii Email is: w7136510055714330@wii.com I'll let you know what I find out tonight when I get back home. neo
  5. That's kind of weird. I know about the removing the disc thing, I think it's kinda cool. I removed Excite Truck just to see what it would do and the menu kept racing. I put the disc back in and it played just like normal, very cool feature. That aside though, I still haven't had any problems. I played Madden and Rayman a bit last night. Still haven't started Zelda. It's funny because I still sit in anticipation of how awesome that game is going to be. However, I don't want to start it until I can devote a few hours of just sitting down with no distractions to really get into it. If I don't start it tonight, I will definitely start it Wednesday night because I don't have to work Thursday or Friday. So, I'll keep looking out for any errors and I'll pass them along. I really hope that it's nothing too bad for you Storm, maybe it was just a fluke glitch that will never happen again. At least we can hope . neo
  6. I got it, just haven't played it. Seriously though, who would actually buy a Wii and NOT buy Zelda. That's just crazy, that's like buying a Dodge Viper but not buying any gas to put into it. I was #5 at Walmart Saturday. We came up with a system where we refered to everyone by numbers, it was just easier, so I was #5 the whole night. I had my camera out taking pictures and then I pulled out my handcam and interviewed a few guys in line. Then it was like 5 till and they were setting out the games and everything so I was recording and then I saw Zelda and all the sudden it hit me. If that was the only game available it would still be worth it. So, I then turned to the tired crowd and yelled down the line. "If you are not going to purchase Zelda than you are not allowed to buy a Wii". Every laughed cause they thought I was kidding........but I wasn't . neo
  7. Dudes, I have to say, Wii Sports is a Work-Out. I got home around 12:30am on Sunday and played Wii Sports Only until 3am. After church in the morning and after lunch we came back and played more Wii Sports. Heck, I have Excite Truck and Zelda sitting there and haven't even touched them yet. Now, this morning, I wake up for work around 6:30am. It's a cold morning (low 40s is "cold" for us) and I start getting ready and I say to myself, "self, you are in really bad shape!" So I'm outside in the cold air on the way to work and it's huring even worse. Now I'm sitting at the computer and a cringe each time the phone rings because it pains even to pick it up, lol. However, the glory of the whole story is, I can't wait to get home and play some more Wii Sports . For those who don't know anything about Wii Sports, it has a "Fitness" option and it gives you a "Fitness Age" much like the way Brain Age gives you a......well, Brain Age, lol. So, you can play once a day per each Mii and it records your progress. It picks three evens out of the 5 and you do what it tells you. For instance, hit 10 balls in baseball and it tracks distance or volly 50 tennis balls in tennis and try to keep them inbounds. At the end of the Fitness events it gives you a "Fitness Age", which for those wondering mine was 69! For anyone that wondering how nice this feature is, it actually is a nice little work out and my wife LOVES it. She has put us on a schedule where we are going to do this together daily as our "exercise time". Anything else I would probably argue with because I like having a little extra around for the cold months but how can I agrue with playing Wii Sports? I can't, so it's golden. Just remember the Icy Hot guys . neo
  8. I haven't had a problem with the hardware. I did have an issue with the Remotes but that was because I'm a man and didn't read the directions. I choose to add remotes from the "Home" menu by reconnecting the remotes. However, I when I finished the game the other 3 controllers didn't show up on the channels screen and I had to do it again. I did like 3 or 4 times before getting ticked off and reading the manual. Seems there are two ways to "connect" the remote. By doing in through the "Home" menu (like I just explained) it makes for a temporary connection. This is something you could use if, say, you were at a friends house and wanted to use your controller while you were there without syncing. The second option was to tap both of the sync buttons at the same time from the Channels menu and that would sync the remote to more perm to that console and it will remain synced to that console until you re-sync it somewhere else. Not sure if anyone want to know that, but that was the only problem that I encountered and that was by my own doing. Other than that, it's been running smooth like a babies behind. The Disc Channel, GameCube Games, Virtual Console, Mii Channel. The only thing I haven't played with yet is the Photo channel (because I don't own a SD card...yet). Other than that, mine has been flawless. neo
  9. Yeah, that's a great idea. However I don't know mine right off hand. I'll write it down tonight and post it later on. neo
  10. Well, you may have noticed that I haven't been around for a few days. That is due, soley, on the fact that I love my new Nintendo Wii. I actually had my paid off and pre-ordered at GameStop, but I wanted to get a few more, so I still camped out at Walmart all day Saturday. I got 2 systems there (one for my Bro and one to sell). I went home and opened one and stayed up until around 3pm and that was only on the Channels and Wii Sports . Sunday I got up and made some Miis and played some Madden early. When to church and then lunch. Then played some more Wii Sports last night. I've spent about 8 hours on the console so far and I can say without blinking that this is the greatest console experience that I've ever had. People with whine that it's not as "powerful" or as "good" as the other systems. But I will tell you that I own an Xbox 360 and I stayed up until 1am Friday night to beat Marvel: UA. Why you ask? Well, because now that I have the Wii I will not be playing my Xbox for a very, very long time. Those who may doubt that, you can watch my gammer tag and see for yourself. Honestly, the Nintendo Wii is just THAT good. As far as games, I have Zelda, Excite Truck, Madden, Rayman, and of course, Wii Sports. I also have Red Steel, Call of Duty 3, Super Monkey Ball, and Trauma Center......but those are all under the tree and I'm going to have to wait a few weeks. I can't complain though, Zelda and Madden will last me well through the holidays. PS. I also downloaded the original Zelda and Mario 64. Man, brought back some great memories. I reccomend the Virtual Console and Classic Controller to anyone who has or is getting the system. neo
  11. Nestle was correct. Wii Sports comes on a full CD and comes with a small, thin cardboard sleeve. As far as the PS3 goes, I went by Walmart today at lunch to pick up a couple Wii Remotes and I was asking about the PS3. She said they have a line that is formed in Layaway. She said three of the people got there Tuesday afternoon and haven't felt. She said, last count, there were 21 people there and they only have 10 systems. Even though the manager has told them they only have 10 systems, people are still staying around hoping they get a late shipment. Now, someone needs to take a big 2x4 and start smacking the crap out of those people . Just thought I'd share. neo
  12. Well, I'd say you have a better chance scoring with a Real Life Mermaid and selling your first born child to the circus and becoming the richest man in WORLD than scoring a PS3 before 2007. That being said, you should have a much easier time getting a Wii. Sony is estimated at shipping under 200,000 units in NA while Nintendo is estimated at shipping 2million+. Just to give you an idea, here in the DFW Texas area, here are the breakdowns that I've been able to confirm. Walmart is getting 40+ Wiis and under 12 PS3. ToysRus is getting 60+ Wiis and 10 PS3. GameStop is getting 25 Wiis and 8 PS3. And Target is getting 50+ Wiis and 4 PS3. So, I hope you enjoy your Wii . neo
  13. Dude, I hear what your saying. I really want this game but I just can't bring myself to buy it. However, I heard there was an option to "un-gore" the game and it cleans up a lot of the blood and the cursing. I can't confirm this, but I'm thinking about renting it to see if that's is an option. If it is, I may just get the game. Oh yeah, by the way, 4 MORE DAYS! I went by Monday and paid my Pre-Order off completely. Everything is paid. Now, I just have to wait until Sunday. I got the Wii, Zelda, Excite Truck, Madden (already picked up), Trauma Center (already picked up), Rayman, 3 Remotes and 3 Nunchucks. 4 - MORE - DAYS!! neo
  14. I picked up both Batman Beyond Season 2 and JLU Season 1 last week. I'm only half way through JLU. Side Note: A baby takes up a lot of your time, advice for the future fathers :End Side Note Anyway, I am really, really loving JLU. I never watched the shows on air, but they are awesome. Ever since Batman: TAS, these guys have known what they are doing. I do not read DC Comics, but I would never miss a Cartoon that these guys put out. So far, "This Little Pig" is the BEST episode I've ever seen. Batman singing is something that I will NEVER forget. I'm at "The Once and Future Past" right now, I with this show would never end . neo
  15. Man, I must be really sucky at the game. I've had this game for almost 2 weeks and I don't even think I'm that close to beating it. I just finished Mephisto and am fixing to start Asguard. I sure hope that I finish it within the next two weeks, because as soon as Zelda gets here I will not be playing anything else....for a WHILE. neo
  16. Wow, I honestly can't believe you found that much bad to say about Marvel: UA. So, I thought I'd add my review. Title: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Gene: Action/RPG Platform: Xbox 360 Story: -Some great writing took Marvel for a ride. Someone looking for an A+ story using 100 characters must have not read "Heroes Reborn". In order to fit all the heroes and all the villians together really takes work to make it good, and while there were a few loose ends I think that UA really puts a nice bow on the story. It's well told and tries hard to included everyone in the cast. A feat all in itself. Sure, if this was a Captain America game it may be more of a solid story, but for the cast and locals they do an outstanding job of writing a good story. Presentation: -I thought the look of the game was steller. From the startup menu to the training missions to the player stats. It's all very easy to navigate and understand. It actually feels like you are playing a comic book, which in the end is what you are looking for. Add in concept art and comic covers and character specific missions and unlockable costumes and it's just a full comic experience. Graphics: -This was not made as a 360 game. You have understand that when you buy it. Much like LEGO Star Wars II, it is a current-gen game that was polished to appear on the 360. They add much better effects and lighting and they add a nice shine polish to the characters, but overall it's just a current-gen game on steriods. That being said, it falls way short of what we know the 360 is capible. If you are thing this game is going to take Marvel into the Next-Gen then don't waste your money. It holds up and it's nice to look at, but it's just a current-gen project in fancy wrapping paper. Gameplay: -Nothing new, but you know what they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." UA using the same formula from the X-Men Legends series while adding a little more flair. Light attacks are simple, and now power attacks can be held down to increase damage. Power and Health management is much better this time around which allows for more special attacks and the ability to fly without using EX is great. Overall: -This is nothing new. Dungeoun Crawlers have been around forever. So, what makes this one any different? Characters! Honestly, if this game starred "Generic Hero 1" and "Super Hero 1" it wouldn't have the same appeal. But there is something about Captain American smashing people with his sheild and Thor flying high and then pounding the ground beneath him with his hammer. In this end, this is any fan dream game and I still get excited about playing - weeks later. It's nothing innovative or revolutionary, but it's complete and it's fun and I would recommend the game to anyone who has loved Marvel in the past. (not an average) neo
  17. Hey guys, wanted to let you all know that I got some Hands On time with the Wii Thursday and Friday. I have a full blog with my impressions, if you are interested you can read it here: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...fd-6f4439af1d11 However, if you don't like to read, you can just check out the pictures :
  18. Sorry handsome, I'm completely Anti-Sony my friend. I know that hard to believe with my sig . I'm sure it plays good though, the GameCube version of X-Men Legends 1 and 2 were very good. neo
  19. DUDE, I LOVE MARVEL: UA I went to GameStop on Wednesday to pick it up and the losers didn't have it. They said that GameStops box was left in Atlanta by UPS and they wouldn't have the game until Thursday. I said, "DAAAAAAAANG!!!" So, I went yesterday and sure enough, they were taking it out of the box. I picked up a copy for my sweet 360 and headed home. I had to do the Husband/Father thing first. So, I made dinner and watched Lost with the Mrs. Then I fed the baby and got her to bed. Spent a little time with Mrs. neolego and then I heard the wonderful words, "honey, I think I'm gonna go to bed." Once that bedroom door closed, it was just me and Captain America for the next 3 hours. That's right boys and girls, I played until 1am . Anyway, my first impressions are GREAT. The game plays just like X-Men Legends. If you've played either of those games, you will have no problem picking this one up. However, they added a lot more depth and control. Like holding down power buttons to make a stronger attack. Plus if you character flys, they fly and don't use any energy points. And by the way, Captain America is BAD @$$. Throwing his shield is one of the most enjoyable game elements of any superhero game I've ever played. It's just dang fun. Well, I'm at Stark Tower now and I can't wait to get home tonight, I'm playing all weekend long , you guys need to get this game. neo
  20. Marvel: UA - I have it pre-ordered and I'm picking it up at lunch for the 360. CAN'T WAIT!! I'll post some impressions tomorrow. As far as Sonic goes, Nestle is right. It's a completely different game and it is for the better. I download the demo for the Next-Gen game and it, in my opinion, was horrible. I have no intention to buy that game, EVER. HOWEVER, that being said, Nintendo is getting back to what Sonic is great at: SPEED. The Wii game is called Sonic and the Secret Rings. The gameplay takes a new approach and trys to create the classic feel of Sonic. You play the game with the controller horizontal (like Excite Truck). The camera stays behind Sonic for the majority of the level as you steer sonic, almost like a car, through the level. You will use the 1 and 2 buttons to jump and spin dash. The game features only Sonic, doing what he does best! Here are a few shots of the game: 24 More Days!! neo
  21. Wow, this discussion slipped to the second page. Dunno about you guys, but it's been a s-l-o-w couple of weeks. I did pick up Over the Hedge last week, by the way. However, this week saw a few nice releases. Today I picked up Nacho Libre, Monster House, Batman Beyond: Season 2, and Justice League Unlimited: Season 1. I didn't get to see Nacho or Monster House in the theaters so I'm looking forward to watching them this week. I will be watching Nacho tonight. I'll try to get a review for them up pretty soon, for those who care. It will probably take me a little longer to get through Batman Beyond and Justice League which are both 4 disc. So, anyone else pick these up today? neo
  22. What can I said, if you cut me, I bleed Nintendo Red. I've only own three other consoles. I owned a Genesis and a Dreamcast and I currently own a 360. Everything else that I've owned has been Nintendo. And yes, for those who are wondering, I still own my Virtual Boy . neo
  23. Always late to the party... Top 5 of All Time: #1: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) #2: Super Mario 64 (N64) #3: Super Smash Bros Melee (Cube) #4: PokeMon: Fire Red (GBA) #5: Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) Top 5 Most Played: #1: Madden 05 (Cube) #2: WWF No Mercy (N64) #3: Pokemon Series: Red, Blue, Yellow, Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green (GB, GBA) #4: Waverace 64 (N64) #5: Super Smash Bros Melee (Cube) neo
  24. Holy Crap In My Pants Batman! Marvel Online I have to say, about 3 years ago I lost a good 3 to 4 months of my life playing City of Heroes. It was, and I guess still is, my favorite PC game of all time, even more so than Sims. Now, knowing that Cryptic is joining with Microsoft to make a Marvel Online Game.....Holy-Cow. I may just now be more excited about this than the Wii........well, let's not get carried away yet . Reguardless, if they just take the basic CoH gameplay and improve small sections and updated the graphics and characters I am sold. I only hope that your Live Subscription will take care of the fees because I'd hate to have to pay an additional fee........of course I would, but I'd hate it . neo
  25. Well, Congrats Lurch. He's a cutie. Me and my wife and just getting little Kira to sleep through the night now. It's good to have the sleep back . You guys take care and we'll make sure the board stays running smooth, lol. Enjoy the new baby! neo
