  1. Just wanted to stop by and say that I'm addicted to Assassin's Creed.....the first one. I never played it so I picked it up and I can't stop playing. Honestly, I have Modern Warefare 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii sitting on a shelf and I can't put down a 2 year old game to play them. I LOVE Assassin's Creed! neo
  2. I've actually heard the opposite. I have two friends that love it. Now that I'm playing through Assassin's Creed on the 360 I'm into the world. I downloaded the iPhone version which I kinda cool and I want to play the PSP version. At the end of the day, if it's true to the series and furthers the story I don't mind lower res graphics and not as crisp gameplay..........I do own a Wii ok . neo
  3. Harsh! I'm really looking at getting LBP, Assasin's Creed, and Disgaea. Those should last me a while I'm thinking. neo
  4. Alright, I thought I may start an open discussion to any PSP users here on the board and with it maybe make a better decision! Of course you don't have to own a PSP to give your two cents! So, I'll start by saying my grown up color is White. It's a weird thing with me, but My iPhone, Netbook, Xbox, Wii, DSi are all White. So, I have been waiting for a White PSP to buy. Then, they released the Go in white. And, while I'm sold on the digital distribution, I'm still not sold on the value vs cost of that little thing. It's dang sexy, I will give it that, but it's also dang expensive! However, just recently they have released a PSP 3000 pack with Assasin's Creed and a White PSP 3000. So, now I'm really torn. The good news for me is that I am getting it for Christmas, so the price isn't as big a deal but I'm still not sure which to get. So, do we have any users here that would like to sway my opinion? neo
  5. lol, it's just the fact you called them "Accomplishments" the first time and not achievements. I wasn't being disrespectful, it was just funny to hear you say accomplishments and it made me laugh out loud a little. That's all! neo
  6. I haven't checked in for a while, but it's been a few busy gaming weeks for me. Over the last few weeks I've beaten Arkham Asylum, Modern Warfare 2, and Halo 3 ODST twice. Arkahm turned out to be the most suprising game of the year to me. I am a sucker for super hero games and will normally play them reguardless of quality. To be honest I picked up AA thinking it would be another 2nd rate attempt at Batman. Boy was I wrong, I couldn't put the thing down. Never before have I felt more like Batman. It wasn't just the best super hero game of the year, but one of the best 3rd person action games of the year (right up there with Uncharted in my book!). Anyway, I loved the game and can't recommend it high enough. I sure hope we get a sequel and soon! Halo 3 ODST was a game that I originally skipped. I beat Halo 3 and then caught caught up in the CoD frenzy and just never looked back. I honestly forgot how much I liked Halo, lol. My Brother flew in for Thanksgiving so I picked up ODST so we could play a little Co-Op. Right away I was ticked because if you've played split screen co-op you know it cuts the edges of the screen off. I was not happy about that one bit. Good news though, soon after I started playing I forgot about the screen completely. At the of the game I have to say I hated I waited so long. It is officially my favorite Halo game, I liked it much more than Halo. Mostly I think it was Story Wise, it was told much better and I loved the flashback sequences. Plus, I like the more Open World feel and the face you are alone on a dark strange planet. It was nice. I played through twice trying to get the Good Samaritan achievement and still didn't get it. Guess I'll have to play a third time when I get the chance, ha! Modern Warfare is clearly the game of the year. I didn't think I could like a game as much as CoD4, but MW2 I think does it. Most of the reviews I read said they didn't like the story as much as CoD4, but I actually disagree. I loved it and for the sake of spoilers will just say I was completely shocked several times! On top of the awesome story you have a full co-op Special Ops section and of course the best Multiplayer every found in a FPS. So, I've only barely scratched the surface of this game, it will be my holiday addiction this year! Now, that brings me to my current play list. I'm currently playing New Super Mario Bros Wii, Assasin's Creed, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Shadow Complex, Peggle, and Madden 10. I skipped Assasin's Creed originally, I think I just didn't have the money at the time and just never went back to play it. But I'm seeing the good reviews roll in for 2 so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and give it a shot. So far so good! neo
  7. Sorry, this just cracked me up!! I'm a pretty big achievement guy and this actually made me laugh out loud! As for my Xbox. I have two, both Premiums. I bought 1 at launch and then one last year. Neither make a "rattling" sound, but both are hummers! The fan is loud and annoying and by installing the games, like it seems you have done, it has limited most of the noise. It's the way to go if you have the space on your HDD and that is a tip for anyone! neo
  8. This is hard for us to give you "advice" on, but we can give you facts. DS -Plays DS Software -Plays GBA Software -Ability to use the Guitar Attachment for Guitar Hero. -No Camera -Smaller Screens DSi -Plays DS Software -Extendable Media via SD Card Slot -Allows for Downloadable Games to be Played and Stored -Cannot play GBA Software, no slot -Has 2 Cameras -Screens are Larger, slightly Now, I have both systems and I will say they are basically the same thing. If Nintendo had a decent download section I would recommend the DSi without a doubt. But the fact remains, most, if not all, of the Downloadable games are poor quality failed attempts at games. So, at the end of the day you are looking at GBA games vs Cameras. And that is for you to decide. However, both play DS games and the DS has some of the best games of our generation! neo
  9. They tried this last generation... Justice League Heroes Didn't go over so well. However, if it was handled properly I would love to see a DC Alliance game. They are working on DC Universe right now and that looks cool, it's a MMO game that Sony is making. It's more action oriented. But I'd like to see a dungeon crawler with the DC heroes dipping into some of their current story lines with maybe some flashback type missions for classic stories. If it was as good as Ultimate Alliance I would buy it day one! neo
  10. It's fantastic. It's Mario, how could it not be. The Co-Op is really the new "Draw" and I have to say it's pretty cool. First day home I talked my wife into giving it and go and we played for several hours. She really likes it and that says a lot because she is not a gamer. Of course, when I pick her up and throw her off a cliff she gets a little ticked . neo
  11. Sorry about MGS....I guess I just thought it was a given so I forgot to write it down, lol. As for the sound, the PS3 is nice and quite compared to the 360. Heck, I've started ripping games to my HDD just so it's not as dang loud. If you've ever tried to watch a movie while the dishwasher was on, you'll know how it feels playing an Xbox 360! As for you turtle, let me introduce you to your new best friend: Play On. In short, Play On is a program that runs on your PC and streams to your console. You can try it for free, but you have access, not only to your Netflix Account, but also Hulu and ESPN. If you choose to purchase it, it's a 1 time charge of $39.99 with no fees after that. Let me tell you something, it's worth EVERY PENNY!! Try it out. neo
  12. Ah, I own all three systems, so I'll try not to play favorites . I think this is a very simple answer really, I would say since you don't own either pick up a PS3 Slim! I am a HUGE Xbox Fan, but I blame my addiction on GamerScore. I know it sounds dumb, but when I pick up games I pick them up for 360 because if I'm going to get achievements I would rather them be added to my current GamerScore and I had Xbox 360 first. Is that a good reason, HECK NO, but it's mine. Now days Playstation has Trophies, so if you are into that kind of thing you can start from scratch and build your trophy case without loosing any GamerScore (of which you don't have). However, ultimately it comes down to exclusives. You need to get the system that will play the games you want. Sure, both consoles got Batman and Ultimate Alliance and Call of Duty and Fallout 3 and LEGO Batman/Indy/Star Wars, and Bioshock and Assasin's Creed and Rock Band/Guitar Hero and Madden. But it comes down to the games you like. Here are a few exclusives, just in case you are not sure: Xbox - Halo, Fable, Mass Effect, Crackdown, Banjo Kazooie, Gears of War, Forza, Viva Pinata, Lips Playstation - Uncharted, InFamous, Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Buzz TV, SingStar, Gran Turismo, Killzone, Resistance, MLB the Show Again, it's all based on what you like to play. I like to play several on both, so I bought both, but you'll have to make that decision for yourself. Also, as one last note, the Avatar on Xbox Live is kinda childish, but honestly it really grows on you and I love it! Much better dashboard IMO. Either way you can't go wrong. neo
  13. That sounds like a dirty magazine. And here I thought this was a family friendly game. It is.........that's an "unlockable" . neo
  14. Actually, there are only a few Ultimate Apperances in this game. You get all the Ultimate FF, Ultimate Jugs, Ultimate WWII Cap, Ultimate Maskless Deadpool, and Ultimate Vemon. I think that's it. They rest are all 616, both new and classic. You get a newer version of Storm's outlandish costume, you get Death Gambit, Iron Spidey, and several secret war tie ins (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Wolverine). I really like the Classic, Kirby Iron Man, that was a nice addition, and the modern Thor is wonderful! I do wish there were more costumes to choose from, but I'm very pleased with the ones they chose. Of course, that's not counting Red Hulk......Seriously!?!?!?!? I'm hoping we get future updates (probably at a cost) with new costumes and characters both. neo
  15. I'm picking up Ultimate Alliance 2 today. I can't wait! And I'm with you Crippler, CoD can't come soon enough. I'm still working on Batman, and playing my Franchise in Madden. UA2 will be fun, but I'm counting down the days until I hit the snow laced mountains in MW2!! neo
  16. WHAT!?!?! Weirdest times, what is that supposed to mean!? I am normally on in the evenings when I get home from work and normally early Saturday and Late Sunday. That's how I roll! Anyway, armin, I sent you a friend request from Xbox.com. They don't let you put a message there, but you will see it from neoIego. I also have Castle Crashers, but I don't know what you consider "good", lol. Other games I play online are: Madden 10, Worms, Turtles Arcade and Turtles in Time, Fable II, Any LEGO game, Burnout Paradise, and Scene It. I'll be picking up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 today and I'm a huge Call of Duty fan. However, I traded in both MW and WaW toward MW2 so I won't be online with CoD again until November. I'm also on the fence about Halo ODST, I'll wait for the reviews. neo
  17. I'm still quite addicted to Batman: AA. I honestly can't put it down, I love it and I'm only like 20% done...... I also had some quality time with Shadow Complex (which is still the best Arcade game available) and Madden over the weekend, even though Batman took up the largest chunk. Looking forward though, I only have 2 games reserved right now. Marvel: UA2 and CoD Modern Warfare 2. Both look great and I can't wait to get my hands on them. Thank God they are coming 2 months apart.......just where does Madden/Shadow Complex/Batman fit, that's the real question! neo
  18. Well, I downloaded Baseball Superstars 2009 Lite and I have to say I'm addicted. I was looking for a fun Baseball game and I came across this. Honestly, I wanted to download MLB Power Pros Touch because I have MLB Power Pros on the Wii and Love it. But Power Pros doesn't have a lite (demo) version and Baseball Superstars does. Now that I've played I'm really leaning toward BS09. Has anyone here played Power Pros on iPhone? Is it better than BS09? Also, any golf recomendations? Like above, I have a lite version of "Let's Golf" and am really impressed, but I've also heard really good things about Tiger Woods.....so I'm torn. neo
  19. I'm a big handheld gaming fan, always have been. I've owned every GameBoy (except Pocket) and a GameGear. I've owned the original DS, the DSlite, and currently a black DSi. I have also owned 2 PSP systems, the original, and the 2000. So, I've been watching the PSP Go with mixed feelings and I thought it would be a good topic of discussion for any handheld gamers. I have to say first that I love the PSP Go. The design is awesome. I was actually hoping for Nintendo releasing a new GameBoy with a sliding screen just like this. While I love my DS, two screens is just too much. There have been few times that it's really been a benefit (Warioware, Metroid, Nintendogs, etc), but if you look at the best games (Castlevania, Zelda, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, Advance Wars, etc) you will find that they all use the second screen but ultimatly it's pointless. Anyway, back on target, I love the sliding screen and the design of the PSP Go. I also love the D-Pad on the PSP Go. What I don't like is the price. $250 for basically the same thing they have now, and we've been told it's actually cheaper to make!?!?! What's the advantage.......See above: it looks cool. Sure, they've added flash memory, but they've also taken away the UMD drive (thank God!). There is no better processor, no better battery life, no touchscreen....Honestly, it's the same system redesigned. They should take a page from Nintendo here. They released the DSi at $170 where the DSlite still sits at $130. You lost the GBA function, but gained memory. Now, the PSP is launching the Go at $250 while a Standard PSP is $170.....that's an $80 difference!!!! Give me a break. So, the outlook right now? I say wait. I want a PSP Go and plan to get one. If they would have released the Go for $199.99 at launch I would probably already have mine pre-ordered. But for $80 more than basically the SAME thing, it's just not worth it. Much like the PS3, sales will suffer and next year prices will drop. So, what do you guys thing, PSP Go or PSP NoGo?? neo
  20. Best Overall Movie -Up Worst Overall Movie -Bruno Biggest Sleeper -District 9 Biggest Flop (or disappointment) -Transformers 2 Coolest Hero -Wolverine *Honorable Mention: Snake Eyes....Minus the Kissing Lips Coolest Villain -Deadpool Best Animated Movie -Up Best Special Effects -Star Trek I will say there are a few of those movies that I haven't seen, but I still my answers are pretty accurate! neo
  21. ...........no.... lol There really isn't right now. However, starting soon ('Slosion Man being the first) when you get certain achievements you will unlock clothes for your Avatar, called awards. So, just imagine beating MW2 on Hardened and getting a cool sniper shirt or Camo Army outfit or something. As for now though, there really isn't anything other than just bragging rights. It is something kinda cool with your friends. My Brother-in-Law and me are always battling back and forth about who has more gamerscore. It's like a generic, global, leaderboard of Xbox people. But is there any value to it at all? Nope......dang Microsoft, it might as well be Crack and LIVE might as well be the street corner! neo
  22. I have both a PS3 and 360 (a Wii as well, not that it matters), but I find myself so invested in Gamerscore/Achievements that if it's a Multi-Console game I will always buy/play it on 360. I know Sony has "trophy" support now, but it still doesn't hold a candle to achievements! neo
  23. Dude, if you can get Batman Arkham Asylum and LEGO Batman for the same price you will be a real life superhero. Those are the two best Batman games ever. neo
  24. Dude, be prepared to spend your weekend indoors. Batman will suck you in and not let you go! neo
  25. LOL Correction, Stealth "Take Downs". Actually, it's funny that you mention that. When you drop a bad guy you can hit detective mode and see that the downed criminal still has a heart beat. Classic! Anyway, I started back on Shadow Complex again last night. I tell you what, between Batman and Shadow Complex I am torn. Both are great games and very different. It's a good time to own a 360! neo
