Wow my innocent post led to some serious arguments... And I am not someone just after freebies, I look at the site on a daily basis and read different things, sorry that I don't post that often but I feel like I don't get as into it as everyone else. Since I joined I have only posted in contests but I enjoy them for making a custom Minimate or whatever the challenge is. My post in no way was all about the freebies, and WHATS WITH ALL THE NEGATIVITY? This site is supposed to be about Minimate interest and other stuff, but it seems like some people are just angry or for some reason everyone has a short fuse... Just need to calm all the arguing and remember why we all came here... Sorry if anyone thought my post was anything but an honest comment that I missed the excitement of doing a custom Minimate and trying to stay within a given set of guidelines... But maybe for those who complained about how I had only written a few messages since I joined, maybe with this reaction I got off my post I was justified in being afraid to post.

Its been over a week since the contest ended... And theres no new contest yet, I'm going thru contest withdrawl... Need new contest to spark my interest....

I got my Cylon Elf yesterday... So awesome... But I totally did not maintain the mint packaging for more than 5 minutes, this little guy was just too cool to not take out and play with.

Minimates are an amazingly simplistic design that had endless possibilities, there are almost no limits to what can be recreated using this simple geometric pattern of cylinders and rectangles that make for great figures to pose, play with or customize. They're not just enjoyable for the serious collector or comic fan and they can be enjoyed by all types of people from the child playing with them to the people collecting their favorite super heroes. There is no limit to Minimates, there's nothing that they can't be applied to and it gives the unique chance to have figures be completely uniform but also brilliantly diverse. I love Minimates because of their design, their endless possibilities, their details despite their size and their versatility; Minimates are a revolution in figures and an amazing realm of possibilities for consumers and manufacturers.

Score i finally won something... although it was based completely on a random choosing rather than my customizing skills or anything else... oh well its still awesome

This is my entry for the sci fi competition, I was really happy with it, that is until I saw all the other customs... Well this is my very first minimate custom and it has got me into doing some quick customs. I made Darth Vader as he is probably the most recognizable sci fi character of all time, I used a base figure then did alot of sculpting with sculpey and some pieces of a cape to make the figure, everything is hand sculpted onto a minimate base. Aside from how insanely awesome it would be to even place on my first minimate competition, I want to know the thoughts of anyone who wants to give them, thanks!

Hey i am new to all this and am pretty interested in submitting an entry for the the sci-fi contest... How exactly would one do that, the rules didnt seem to outline it
