Why does everyone think that The Boondock Saint is the second coming of Citizen Kane. It is a mindless action movie that is so startling mediocre Fox, the studio that has made 3 Transporter movies, deemed it not good enough for theaters. I'm definitely not of the group that thinks that the movie is some great piece of American film literature, but I do like the move enough to have bought it and watched it many times. One of the best things about it is the fact its a movie you don't have to think to hard about. (probably explains the "cult" following) It's over the top on purpose, that's part of the point. One of the supposed reasons that the movie didn't have a large® theatrical release was because of the Columbine school shooting. The movie was set to be released shortly after that had taken place and the MPAA tightened its grip on what would rated R opposed to NC-17. Boondock Saints was given an NC-17 rating. It was later reedited and released January 2000 with an R rating. Whether this affected the success of the film or not meh. At least we can all come together on Minimates!

Someone may have mentioned this and I've just missed it but I find it interesting that some of the mates in these 2 most recent waves have design sheets that are over a year old. Electro - 1/31/08 Dare Devil (armored) - 2/4/08 Hydra Agent - 2/5/08 Not saying this indicates anything but it does make me wonder what AA may have filed away for a future mate. I'd have to go back and look at the old design sheets for the other army builders but this would indicate that this has been planned for a while. Also Storm's lightning accessory wouldn't exactly be "hers" as they've had it on the Electro sheet for a while. I'm not to familiar with the design/manufacturing process so this may be entirely normal but it got my mind turning on the possibilities.

I decoded it. Let me say as a regular lurker who doesn't post much it is definitely worth it.

Fist Minimates were "Poodle" Beast and Kitty Pride. I'm a sucker for Beast stuff and I was chatting with the owner of my local brick and mortar who was showing me what Beast merchandise he had. Thought that would be the beginning and end of my minimates collection....now I'm fully addicted

Man, this makes me quite a sad panda. The old Beast is the first Minimate I bought and the only reason I decided to start collecting (although I'm now fully addicted) was the upcoming Beast. Thinking about it, it's not too surprising with all of the Mates that are due to come out. That would give a little time between upcoming waves to give people a chance to get them over time instead of all at once. Ah well, just something to look forward to at the end of January.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a little while and thought I'd say hey. Just started my collection about a month ago and am anxiously awaiting the upcoming releases. Also does anyone know of somewhere to get older minis besides ebay or is that still my best bet?
