  1. "Honey, did you check the mail yesterday?" Upon receiving a negative response I proceeded to check and... Thanks to all involved
  2. Yeah, thus I said, who else gets 4-packs. Target seems only interested in two-packs, further re-enforced by their present restocking methods.
  3. No it wasn't, but honestly, who else gets four-packs?
  4. Looks like it's may be the same thing that happened to C3, not outright cancelled, but the license has expired, at least according to quick Ask AA thread over at the Art Asylum forums.
  5. Dammit, DC mates are already heavy with accesories, and now full masks AND hair pieces for Deathstroke and BD Bats. Poor Booster, he can't see straight and his only powers are flight, because the batteries that power his suit are in his wrist bands... I wonder if Skeets is removable. Hope so.
  6. I know, but seemed too easy, like a Unmasked Symbiote Spidey. I have other photographed quick customs, so debating on which to submit to the contest at the moment is all.
  7. Just giving some warning that I'm considering my most drastic alteration yet, moving the LOTR to Past Lines
  8. Don't worry, have other ideas that'll appear here if I don't submit them to the contest
  9. Idea for MMC Quick Customs contest, but ended up feeling it was too simple. Already had it "constructed" though, so...
  10. That's sort of what I'm hoping for, but my expectations was more towards just colored Fruit Loop-esq mates. But yeah, very much a return to the days of the 3" mates in terms of license selection...
  11. Going on the photos seen, much like the TRU 10 pack older mates use the original molds and thus have the original feet. Comments from the AA board indicate the need for speed, so literally used the existing molds, unlike having more time to make changes (ie Thanos Silver Surfer gaining C3 feet)
  12. Ah, but if they don't go for new licenses they'd lose more money, lack of exposure of the brand, and if they believe they wouldn't sell enough to at least break even (at this point in time) they wouldn't even get the license. Also seems alot of people are forgetting that DST have far more control over the direction of Marvel Minimates than AA, where many of these new licenses seem to be strickly AA only ones.
  13. It's a nice dream, but it appears they probably need to increase the volume of factories producing the little guys to meet demand for the the increasing number of lines at the moment, let alone new lines
  14. wow, the Trekies couldn't get the Star Trek Fact Files direct released, didn't expect US release for this. That said, I did expect a Australian release, yet nothing doing
  15. The pictured Hulk is the classic green we've already seen (ryhme!), but he's against an unnatural background so may be a stock image. IMO any changes would probably be like Iron Man, color/shade changes on existing paint aps.
  16. Thanks for the image Ivan, along with another piece of the puzzle Hmm.... now i'm wondering why TRU got two choices...
  17. Are we talking.... ADV mate cool here?
  18. Hmm... I wonder how they will be "sold" if their cereal mates? Free Minimate in everybox! Not to mention that much the previous debate about if Minimates were McDonalds Happy Meal toys about kid-safety comes to mind...
  19. Big licenses command big bucks to grab, not to mention are generally tightly sewn up by the people who already have them (Star Wars = Kubricks)
  20. That's got me asking again if the mates are exclusive to TRU, as a lot of the other auctions for it don't mention the mates (though admittedly are lot of them are automated store entries with "stock" cover art)
  21. Local toy chain got Bad Taste Bears, so here's hoping.
  22. but there werent any.... unless you're going to win a John Stewart... Walk up to the booth and walk away with one or enter the contest.... tricky choice T. Of course they were, back in 2003, 2004 and 2005... They never said "new" con exclusive Minimates... hmmm.... IIRC they also never said they would be Marvel mates either...
  23. And their source for that was likely MMHQ http://minimateheadquarters.com/blog/2006/...uffy-minimates/
  24. lol I knew this would come out.... its not you personally CYC its the... "PAH it's not new attutude..." These aren't aimed at us guys... they are aimed at getting new folks on board with a cool minimate freebie!! people who dont know what minimates are and dont care if it's a regular face or a different one. Let's not get into the negativity of it's just a rehash...... So what if it is... If it wasnt with the DVD then you wouldnt be worried about it.... If you want the movie then great you get another figure. T. I'll admit it's partly that, but I have a less than glowing view of the first movie, so the Minimates were the make or break if I was going to even considering ordering it. While it will help get Minimates out there, I'd wager that another Darktide would have a large more noticble effect.
  25. SHIELD and co are going after superheroes while they are saving people, some like She-Hulk for example brining along registered aid to take care of the situation while she talks to the hero about registration, but it's easy to see that Civil War will build to a pro-reg hero going more for the anti-reg hero than the baddie and the baddie do something Nitro-esq... Also be interesting to see how other countries will react as foregin heroes on US soil are being arrested. Given the Civil War/War on Terror theme they have going, sooner rather than later.
