  1. Thanks, but are the pins glued to the legs or, once the leg is separated, can they be popped out also without trouble? Also, are the pins a hard brittle plastic (like the clear ones used in DCD figs) or a softer pvc type that allow for some flexibilty, (hence the need for shrinking I guess) ?

  2. I remember when these first came out some people reported that they found the posts to be fragile and some reported that their wings broke. It's been several months now, has anyone had any more problems with these or have they proven to be durable?

  3. Fujis, I'm in Canada also. May ask how much your order from AFX was (initial not counting S&H)? I just don't want to be too surprised when my order arrives in a couple of days. I'm expecting the brokerage fees and some duty. Did you just order the DC and Marvel minis or were there other items in your order also? Thanks.

  4. Some pegs have grey paint on them while others are just white unpainted plastic. The painted ones seem to have a tighter fit when placed in the holes. Trying to postition them could result in twisting the plastic peg and it could snap. Before positioning, it's probably a good idea to make sure that the peg is actually moving in the socket.

  5. Canada, at least Quebec got 'em today. Really great wave. Bane has a great painted face w/ painted hair under his mask. The Superman half of Cyborgs face is removable (and is even held in place by a small tab!) so that you see the rest of the robot face. worth the wait, folks.

  6. My case SHOULD be in this week.

I hope I don't get any duds. I'll be very upset if I do. I buy a case to use as custom or back-up parts in case something breaks from wear and tear... not from shoddy craftsmanship.

Exactly. I buy multiples for the same reason. Luckily the store I bought 'em from replaced my defective mate without question.

  7. Are you using the exacto to pry the two halves of the leg apart at the knee?

Pretty much, yeah. You have to kinda work around the exposed part of the joint first. Once you can force the knee to bend a little it gets easier. After a bit you can just separate the two leg pieces and smooth out the edges.

Do you find that the pieces are stuck together by a bit of glue that has leaked between them?

  8. How's the quality control on this wave? Anything to look out for ? I noticed something that looked like glue on the flat part of the knee pin on GA. Are the pins on the leg joints actually glued to the bottom part of the leg? For some reason I always thought they were just pushed through both parts of the leg. If one part actually is glued in place that would explain some of the knee joint breaks I've read about. The glue probably sticks both parts of the leg together.

  9. Is it the knee pin that broke on your Harley or was it part of the upper or lower leg? It seems like all the Knee pins are molded out of white plastic and the visible ends are painted to match the leg. Was the pin painted to the figure, thus not allowing it to turn resulting in it breaking?

  10. Don't recall this being mentioned but the new DC 'mates have a different torso than the last batch of Marvels. The 4 plastic pieces that grip the post are positioned in the opposite direction. Wonder if this mold will be used for all future 'mates.
