Lucky people. One of these days I hope to make it out to San Diego for Comic-Con. Would anyone going be willing to look for the McFarlane Hellspartan card that would allow you to purchase the set from the Spawn.com website? I would greatly appreciate anyone's help finding this. First, thanks to Shane and the DST guys for allowing this opportunity - it's always interesting to see the questions posted the responses that we get back. Now for my questions: - Have you ever considered doing a minimate line for some of the "fair use" properties that are in existence? Characters like the Fighting Yank, the Green Lama, the Black Terror, and the original Daredevil would be awesome to see in minimate form (especially the original Daredevil). - Have you ever considered doing "real life" minimates - ala MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, etc? - Any love for some missing mini's - say a Darkhawk, Joe Wade Scarlet Spider and/or Negative Zone Spidey? (As a HUGE Scarlet Spider fan, I would love to be able to get this last variation of the "Scarlet Spider," seeing as how we already have Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider and Initiative Scarlet Spider costumes).

Who knows, maybe this is a way for DC to bring us Q-Blox, the Hong Kong company that is doing the Dark Knight knock-off mates. Somehow it wouldn't surprise to me to see them cancel the license in favor of a more profitable one with the thought that they can make more money off of the popularity to their characters. Then again, remember their first wave of pocket heroes? I seem to recall that they weren't anything to write home about.....

Apparently DST is getting a lot of my money in the near future. Not only was I planning on getting the Nova/Gamora and War Machine/Spymaster packs but I want every one of these Spidey sets. I'm super excited to finally be able to get a Cosmic Spidey, Black Costume Spidey, Tarantula, Shocker and even a new Venom. Add in the Invaders set, and I forsee a very minimate Christmas (most likely to myself, from myself). :tongue:

I've been a big fan of the line going back to Galactic Heroes and have a small army of Clone Troopers to ward off any 3" threats. Currently, I have picked up one of the Indiana Jones sets but have been mostly focused on the various Spider-Man sets with a few odd ball figures in between (mainly Captain America and the greatly cool Savage Surfer). The last set I picked up was the Black Costume Spidey and I'm actively looking for the Ben Reilly Spider-Man vs Carnage set (especially since I'm a rather HUGE Scarlet Spider/Ben Reilly fan). While I love the minimates, there is something very addictive about the "Heroes" lines and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how well the GI Joe lines will do. In all seriousness though, I really think the minimates is a more collectable hobby while the "Heroes" lines are more playable, especially for their suggested audience. Not that I don't love both lines but each one offers different things - not limited to but including characters and costumes used.

Got my Spider-Man 3 Black Costume/Spidey Unmasked mate in the mail yesterday. Thanks again to all involved for this awesome promotion.

Absolutely loving the Invaders set. The current Captain America storyline has actually made me a fan of Bucky and the old school Cap minimate is just sweet. Probably going to be picking this one up.
