Yeah that's what I thought too. Also maybe some veterans can answer this for me? A little confused here....... Has there been any indication whether or not this set will be available after the show online at shopafx.com? Also, has there ever been an instance when Mates were not available after a show online? I am excited about this set just as much as the next guy but, It kinda sounds like a few people are getting a little worked up over nothing if this is the case.

I'm actually waiting for the OMFG they have made a zillion IM where's wolverine backlash...

Somehow though because they are armor and not the same person in a different costume it's easier to handle?

Not that it's easier to handle but as a comic fan, we're kind of getting a retrospective if you will of different stages in a characters development over the years. (Of course with a blockbuster movie out it does not hurt sales at all to try to bring attention to Iron Man's back story and try and sell more comics) With the Hulk for example, how many more shades of green can we paint the guy? And TBT, the reason I thought it may have been overkill was because I read the post before going over to DST and actually seeing them fearing a Wolverine, Hulk disappointment, BUT that's why I said I "originally thought" So please stop pointing your repulsor rays in my living room window. Oh my god these are sooo freakin awesome!!! I am definitely getting two sets! No offense to you major IM fans but I originally thought it may be a bit of overkill, BUT after actually looking at them I see an attention to detail in selecting this lineup and can't wait until these get released. Just making an educated guess these should be available July 28th? That sound about right?

Yeah, Toon Disney had a mini marathon on Sunday last week and I got excited until the second episode when it just wasn't as excititing when I was younger.

That does seem a bit early but who knows how long they have been getting everything ready for the release? But then it doesn't make sense that they didn't unveil the prototypes at NYCC.

I'm not knocking the new Ant Man / Giant Man Mate but I still prefer mt custom 3" Giant Man Mate I got off of E-bay.

Although I am excited we are getting the Ant Man helmet so I can display him along side all the others since technicaly there are three of them he doesn't neccesarily HAVE to be Pym.

What really bothers me is that the birth of the DC Universe line killed the DC Superheroes line prematurely causing me to miss out on Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)

This is the version with the front of the mask sewn together and it's on a purple card, right? If so I found that version when I was on vacation in Baltimore and have never seen it anywhere down here...

Um.... what the hell were doing with it that BOTH legs came off? Sorry I don't have any helpful advice, but It just blows my mind that both legs came off at the same time....

BTW, does anyone else think that Iron Man looks kinda weird in his unarmored state? It's like he's in his underwear or something.

Umm.. but, that is his underwear. I was under the impression he had a liner that appears from inside his body before he dons the armor. Am I right people?

In TBT's defense if you read Hellpop's posts very closely, every few sentences you will see alot of "I thought", "I want", and my personal favorite is at the end "my reimagined ". So it would seem that you came up with it all on your own and it does not seem like you reference the prior thread. And don't take offense I just made on observation......

ummmmm, yeah........It looks liks a Mate knockoff. Plus it said it was exclusive to Asia and it does not look like it's worth hunting one down and getting it shipped to the U.S. even if I found it somewhere for retail.

I would think it would look cool glued down after you get the chest detail on there to give it a bit of depth. Really cool idea!

Y'know, I haven't decided if I'm going to do black detailing on the chest or not. There is the chance that I might make him look worse if I try to do it by hand. I really, really need to get a program that will allow me to create some decal print-outs like I have seen others do here. I've got several ideas for improving on or making custom Minis this way, and doing a simple chest outline that way would be great for improving this and some other customs of mine.

Did you see Winkerbeans Customs page? It has a template that has chest details on it. If not check out page three. Apparently you just have to print them out on decal paper or clear mailing label sheets and you are all set. You wouldn't need any special program for it since it's going to be black detail on a clear sticker going on a solid color.
