Good job everyone!
-
Hhmm.....I actually have an entry for this, a piece I haven't shown anyone yet!!
-
I have never even heard of anyone having this problem. I know when you start photoshop, it doesn't automatically have a canvas open.....always file, new.
But not being able to open anything is odd.
I may suggest an uninstall and re-install of photoshop......sounds like something might have gotten jacked up somewhere.

Happy Birthday!

Keep in mind, we aren't really confined by having to only make 1 mate for the auctions. Like past events, some customizers made multiple customs.
So I would assume for this theme, if someone were to make a few heroes that they would also maybe create a villain to go along with them.
Once we decided on Superheroes, I kind of made a basic plan of maybe making a Hero duo and a villain that would go up against them.
In my mind, superheroes encompasses both the heroes and the villains.
If we were to go with a golden age for example, our title could be Charitymates: A Golden Age of Comics .....giving what the theme is and encompassing both good and evil characters.

Happy Birthday, glad you had a great one!!

A Basic theme of superheroes works quite well. People could make heroes based on historical figures, original characters, fictional characters turn superhero......so many choices.
-
Along the lines of what jcastick and Punisher have suggested what about a historical figure/forgotten superhero mash-up? You could have characters like Albert Einstein as Atomic-Man and Rosa Parks as The Equalizer! This would also allow the more ambitious customizers to make two customs: one in costume and one in civilian clothing. We can call it:
Charitymates 7: Historical Heroes
...or even 'The Past Is Super!"
I really like this idea, I'd definitely be up for this theme.

Console televisions we're boss

As always, I'm in.
And as per the previous years, I am assuming we are sticking to Original or Royalty free characters.
Suggestions..... uumm, some type of Mash-up? I'd love for us to be able to do New Amalgam Marvel/DC..... or mash-ups of 2 Marvel or 2 DC....Indie....But, don't think we could do anything like those.
Maybe do characters in a different theme...... Astro-mech Pinocchio, Steam-punk Ali-babba.......
Just throwing some things out there.....

Best wishes on everything sir and remember.....life comes first, everything else can be put to the side for a while.

I would love to see a proper Sinister Six Box Set. An Updated Hydro-Man(although actually part of the Sinister Twelve), Kraven, Mysterio, Electro, Classic Doc Ock and New mate Beetle.

Bored due to the rain, so here's Flatman, not a full design, I just converted the printable Flatman 'figure' from yesteryear.
The details on the side view are spot on!!!
Very nice design!

That Darkseid does indeed look great!
Good eye by Delia!

Thanks guys, I did end up finding them at my Target and picked one up......not entirely sure which Mark suit I ended up getting, but I totally agree with most of whats been said. They really aren't worth the $3.....I'd sooner buy a blind bagged Lego minifigure for that. The quality is meh at best......I didn't understand why they didn't go with the same type of mold any of the other Muggs are made like. Not detachable from the base and nothing moves was pretty disappointing.

Probably also depends on region. There were a lot of times that sets would be released and months would go by and I would never see any of that release.
I'd say any set exclusive from FYE stores or the TRU Stealth Ironman from the first movie. Never saw any of those in any store I visited.
-
Looks like it is going to be pretty good!
-
I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen a Weapon X mate yet. Probably the only Wolverine variant I've been looking forward to.
-
I don't have the chance to get out to my local TRU nearly as frequently as I used to, so I'm a little late to the party.
Mine has no endcap (though I have seen one, either in the Scranton PA store, or the one next to Valley View Mall in Roanoke VA. Not sure which one) but at mine (Middletown NY), mates are mostly near the end of their respective aisles, and all pretty close to each other (though spread out between 3 different walls):
Good Lord that is a Lot of Resistance packs!!!

Trying to think if I could make anything out of a BSG Mini Viper..............cause $2 isn't bad.
-
sadly, no Sony stuff....
-
All depends if they haven't been snapped up.
Also, TENIME showed interest first.
