  1. that didn't make any sense to me... due to my lack of knowledge on the subject, nothing more. So i googled 'bowen designs hulkbuster' ... see what you mean, that IS the minimate we're getting. So... please pardon my ignorance, whats Bowen Designs? has the Hulkbuster never looked like that in the comics? Mine only actual experience with anything Hulkbusteresque was the v.different suit Tony wore in WWHulk I'm assuming that's what RX meant. Quite frankly, that armor is fugly; it's like Iron Man + shoulder pads..and i thought Rob Liefield wasn't doing much drawing anymore. The Hulkbuster we ARE getting is SILL comic based though; it's not like Bowen created it and DST used theirs. It's been around for years. oh aye... that is the one i've seen in action, so to speak.

  3. Yeah... can't go wrong with Luke, great prices... in fact, first time i ordered from him last year, i had to email him just to check he'd not made a mistake with the international shipping costs. he even has a few TrU exclusives these days... ... actually, as this is the UKers in this thread... lets not even get started on the TrU sets
  4. Suddenly, I'm glad I don't follow Dr Who! its what he does with it that counts
  5. i'd certainly not order from them online... only ever heard bad things if that were the case... at least i'd have a leisurely stroll into town to pick up 2 beautiful inches of articulated Matt Smith, etc. ... oh, what a day that'll be ... worse comes to the worse... i'll help you kids out!
  6. its the Stoke-on-Trent store... v.far from London i'm afriad. I didn't think the London megastore was a FP international? (certainly not trying to patronise, but incase anyone doesn't know... Forbidden Planet and FP International are two different companies; International stores often self-import stuff from the US) just checked the bag, the International stores are: Aberdeen Belfast Cardiff Derby Dublin Edinburgh Glasgow Hanley (Stoke) Leeds Leicester Manchester Middlesborough Nottingham Sheffield Wolverhampton Birmingham Liverpool ...they get stuff shipped from the New York store. I'm originally from London, y'right... they've ocassionally got a few mates, mostly the movie waves i've found... thats where i picked up some of the original Iron Man & Hulk waves. The Hanley (Stoke-on-Trent) store seemed to now have a complete section dedicated to mates.
  7. thought i'd give any UK members a bit of a heads up, in case anyone it's aware. I've always found UK comic stores got mates a long time after their official US releases. A lot stopped getting stuff in when minimates stopped being available over here, but numerous Forbidden Planet Internationals continued to get bits a pieces in now and then. just popped into town earlier today, and found they'd got in both the recent X-Men box sets, Wolverine through the ages, spidey friends and foes... as well as many of waves 27-32. picked myself up the variant ult. WW2 Cap. just thought you UKers might facny the info... have a look at plugging some gaps, if you've a FP international near you
  8. oh certainly, i thought the same thing with every point you made there. I do have one question though... when was the mentioned? I'm not doubting you at all, I just missed that completely, would love to go re-watch that bit. one potential problem may be budget... i can seeing it being quite as epic as we... as fans, would like to see. one thing about the a few have mentioned... that has always been the case with Superman, there are so many references/similarities, which no one has ever made any intention of hiding. Things like... dying to save Earth from Doomsday, before rising again. That fall in the finale was v. reminiscent if his fall to Earth in Superman Returns. This is one aspect of the Superman mythos which i've always found so captivating, Kal-El, and the 'S' symbol are so much more inspiring and than any religious symbol or teaching to me... Superman is the definitive shining light in a world oh so capable of descending into darkness. I'd say... those last 30 seconds or so, are some of the most genuine Superman moments in smallville so far. anyway... back to the episode, the intro was very left field for the general tone of the show, I bloody loved it! After some extremely dodgy moments throughout its run... Smallville is really moving now, and we've been promised the proper costume before the end of series 10.
  9. This is what needs to happen before anything else. Agreed! Avalanche/Toad companion set anyone?? X-villain are lacking IMMENSELY. Them and a new F4 are at the top of my list right now. ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes
  10. what a beautifully desplayed collection mtd! your updated Hulk & F4 are particularly impressive... release these please DST
  11. in Luke we trust! oh, and drgnrbrn316... if you're reading this, i PM'd you, but i've had a few problems with people receiving my messages at the moment, let me know if you received it! cheers! anyway... can't wait to get these guys, certainly considering some drones now, assuming Luke has any left next week
  12. ahhh... v.cool, i'd like to say great minds n' all that. I'm working on a Jim Gordon at the moment, and the Blonsky boys are sitting in front of my batmobile, as i've no idea where to display them yet... perhaps it is their destiny?
  13. everything thats turned up over the last couple o' weeks... got a bit overwhelmed in terms of disposing of packaing, its usually straight in the bin...
  14. With simple head swaps, SHIELD Soldiers have endless variations. And if you head swap Skrulls with the four male heads from the Secret Invasion set, you get 5 different versions. You should really think bigger. Maybe that's my problem. not at all! I did the same with my shield fellas... and would do the same if i ever got my hands on a few more skrulls. on the subject of army building/swapping heads... Luke's toy store currently has the hulk movei blonsky/abomination set for only $4... i got myself 5, swap the head and you've got yourself a great SWAT/anti-mutant/bank job/mercenary, etc. squad.
  15. that is a nice idea, the only problem would be for people who already have some of those armies, and stick to only getting a certain amount. i decided a while back that army building could get crazy, so i'd get no more than 5 of each. if the box set contained ones i'd already got and an exclusive, i'd feel the need to buy five box sets for that mate, in this example... the shield agent (i assume you meant a 616 fella!). i'm sure i'm not the only person in that position. that said, i've not managed to gather armies of skrull or aim agents... so if it was the ones you've mentioned, i'd certainly be up for that!
  16. that'd be a v.nice mate indeed... pack it with Wendigo or something. from what i can tell, the hulk face/hair look pretty good, and the mate as a whole doesn't look too silly bulk/size-wise... could bode well for a new normal hulk, similar to the defenders set one, just a little bigger. oh, and lockjaw... hulkbuster... incredible! i understand TrU are after exclusives, but getting regular releases so far ahead of LCS, etc. really takes the piss, i'm not impressed at all on their behalf. i'll get hold of exclusives through here, ebay,etc... but will always wait to get the others elsewhere, out of priciple if nothing else
  17. thought this my be the best place to drop you a line punisher, as you've not got back to me elsewhere i am sorry to pester... but please let me know if you've shipped me IM2 mates yet... would be great to get confirmation PM me buddy!
  18. so i take it we've all seen the numerous official concept pictures that have been released, such as Sinestro, Kilowog, a Guardian, Tomar and Abin Sur... if not, they're not hard to find on a google search... 'green lantern movie concept art' but... this is fairly new, Peter Sarsgaard is make-up... supposedly this is fairly on in his transformation, and gets a lot worse throughout the fim. looks horrible... in a good way, v.comic accurate.
  19. doesn't that mean the Hulk and Iron Man 2 would have occured at the same time? or... if suggested, that the report is simply being looped on the SHIELD screen, then the Hulk happened BEFORE IM2. I remember reading a couple of years ago that IM2 would be set wroughly the same time as Hulk, and in IM2 Fury does say something like 'i've got something much bigger than you to deal with at the moment'. While he could have been talking Avengers Initiative in general, i think he was talking bigger and greener. the events in hulk started half way through ironman 2(hence the news footage) and then as ironman 2 ends hulk goes on and then at the ending of hulk tony comes with his newly apointed job to talk about recruiting the hulk that certainly makes sense, with the ending, Stark going to General Ross, etc. I still think Hulk could well have started first... clearly a long time passed as Bruce makese his way back to the US, etc. Not much time passes after the big battle on campus

  21. For fear of taking this a bit TOO far off topic, but any fan of Spoony should be familiar with the Nostalgia Critic as well. His review of the old live-action Captain America movie was something of a godsend for me: at least I wasn't the only one who found that adaptation a bit... "wack." (Maybe we should start a separate thread about this ) there are people who don't think it was 'wack' ?
  22. so they dragged him along on his knees? sounds painful. well... i do intend to have another watch some time this week, will definitely be looking out! i do know three or four people have mentioned his lack of legs whilst discussing the film, without me having mentioned it before hand. EDIT - you're pretty much right, his left leg is sort of tucked under him, and a v. peculiar angle, whilst his right, in pointed straight at the camera, giving it the appearance that it is v.v.short... to the point of being a tiny stump with a foot on the end!
  23. nice work again pun, nice to see another of your black lanterns btw.. i pm'd you a couple o' days back... get back to me!
