  1. did you get any sort of confirmation/shipping email, or did it just show up unannounced? I still haven't heard anything since I placed the order.

i got an automated response via email immediately after i placed the order that stated they were backordered then a day or so later another saying they would ship soon but no date or tracking number, they came via ups and were just sitting on my doorstep this morning. hope that helps

  2. Just got mine, and a couple of quick observations- EARS he has molded ears on his otherwise bald head, this is a first and doesnt really jive with all the earlier bald guys with drawn on ears. I wonder if this is something Duff required or if this is how AA will address "Bald" heads from now on?

the chainsaws appear to have been assembled incorrectly at the manufacturers they should appear as so...

to be like an actual chain saw, not as they come in the pack as shown above in Lees' pic,

not a big deal and easily fixed.

  3. I've been a lego fan forever, so have amassed quite a few Minifigs of all types, i've slowed down on them quite a bit though but ocassionally pick up a cool set here and there especially on sale. i have been trying to collect( and am current on) all the comic type figs Spidey 1 and 2, and Batman, yeah they definately aren't anywhere near as cool as Minimates or even Kubricks but they are neat, i love em.

try swapping out the "Vampire" hair on your Joker with one of these

from the "Exo-force" line for a better look.

  4. I saw the set at Wal-Mart. I was gonna buy it, but then I saw the price, $50.00. Maybe this week when I get paid. Anyways, who has one and how hard is it to make it compatible for a minimate?

I have this set and it is awesome, you can seat two Mates inside comfortably WITHOUT modification. :)

  5. i know this is kind of an old post but i finally got one of these myself, and it is really one of the best c3 sets they made, my favorite being the large Batmobile, but this is a great design and well built! its nice to finally have every c3 piece made including all the little accesories(Tactical batmans shoulder cannon, grappling gun and batarang) yay! :)and i got it at a great price which is even better, i wonder what the original MSRP was on these?

  6. I'd like to see waves 25 and 26 be Wolverine movie mates but in that its X-men origins : Wolverine and several characters, who've yet to make their MM debut are in the movie, they woiuld do two packs of

Movie Wolverine and 1st appearance comic Wolvie ( take advantage of that Skrull Wolvie "whiskers" mask tooling)

    Movie Gambit and comic Gambit

Movie Deadpool and his comic version

and i guess to follow the established 3pack and one variant set

Movie Deapool and comic version maskless/Hamburger head

    Then

    movie and classic Sabretooth

    Wraith

    Silverfox

and maybe Maverick as the variant, replacing a second comic Wraith

  7. That's not my experience at all. I bought Spidey, Iron Man, Colossus, and Magneto to go with my 25th Joes late last year, and the only one whose arms would really stay on following any real attempt at posing was Colossus, and I couldn't keep the arms on my black Spidey even with his arms in their default position. Plus, they just felt really cheap. Maybe I got a bad bunch, but I got rid of those and have stayed far away ever since.

Huh? not doubting you at all, i guess i've been real lucky, mind you i dont "play" with them per se but i have posed them repeatedly with zero problems. i can see that they are not made of the same plastic as say gi joes, and could be a bit fragile, but i thought they were cool being the scale they were after i burned out on marvel legends.

  8. So, hopefully these will be of a little higher quality than the "Superhero Showdown" figures. . .are they being made by Hasbro? They look like they are using the 25th GI Joe body types, which would be a very good thing.

SHSD didn't look that bad in box. But that's the only place I've seen them.

And that's the ONLY place they look good. Seriously, as soon as you take 'em out (if you can even manage that) they fall apart like Scarlet Witch without an undead robot to love.

what?! i have every SHS figure plus some customs and haven't had any "fall apart" or break at all, they have ball joints like minimates so they snap back together if you want to take pieces off, i really like the SHS figs the original price point was too high but when they went on sale(which is when i scored 90% of mine) they were great, ill have to post some pics -M
