Hey all. My name is Dave and I'm the guy behind Minimate Theatre and owner of CrimsonMonkey.com. Long story short is that the people who have been writing weekly columns for my site are being replaced. So I am looking for new writers to contribute a weekly column of their choosing. We are needing some specific columns, but will welcome anyone really who can keep a weekly schedule. You are also welcome to contribute to other parts of the site but my main goal is to pick up some new columns to replace the "fired" writers. Topics can cover all of pop culture or whatever you want but we are mostly looking for a comic column, a toy column and possibly a week in review type blog. You know kinda like the soup but more for the geeky online crowd. I'm reaching out here because there are a lot of nice people on these boards and I'd rather spotlight people that deserve it than open it up to anyone. Thanks for anyone who is interested. Dave

Thanks, by the way, I am super jealous by your avatar, my Deadpool came with two normal faces and I always wanted that mask. The story continues next week and we will finally see Bob!

Hey guys just found an interesting image form entertainment earth. Apparently the upcoming 25th anniversary pack will have the flames from the delorean. Thanks MINI MYTE. I've gotten pretty far in writing the scripts, plotted out even further and still ahead on the photographs so this will definitely be keeping it's weekly schedule and may just burst into the week on certain occasions.

They were at Megacon two years ago here in Florida and were only there for one day. Good luck getting one.

I can only hope the AA blog has something up shortly. I am very excited for a Sunspot, Magick or Warlock.

The Full list of New York Comic con Exclusives and it appears that not only will we get one of the AOA 4 packs but a New Mutants 4 pack. I haven't' heard anything about this but very excited as none of them have been in Minimate form yet. Just got back from my local TRU and picked up the new delorean and terminator vehicles. They look amazing and very glad to find them in store. Only 11.99 too thought they would be more for some reason. Happy hunting to all.

LOL! Most excellent! Thanks Gramps for the feedback. What inspires me? Well the reason I make these in the first place is I've always wanted to make comics but can not draw well so I decided to take pictures of toys to help me out. As for the storylines and actual strips, well anything. I constantly have an inner monologue in my head and more often than not I run these crazy conversations by these characters over and over until I write them down. As for the specifics of who is in them it may be what new mates I've just got, what mates work well together and of course when they develop their own personalities they write themselves. I always thought that was a writers bs response but to be honest all I need to do is put the Silver Surfer in a situation and it just flows onto the paper. I am actually a months ahead so in the coming weeks you'll see things from the end of July that influenced storylines. I just finished writing the Halloween specials, so hopefully you guys will keep enjoying them as I am really getting into doing this again. As for the GL Spidey conflict that was actually a pick up from an old strip I have yet to put on the site. Trust me you have not seen the last of the GL/Spidey conflict.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I've got some more reviews I want to work on and will try to do a better job on the next. Not sure if I'll do older waves as I have all my Minimates grouped by types together and would not be sure which accessories came with who anymore

Hey guys thought I'd share this review by buddy Sean wrote for my website. He kind of beat me to the punch on this one but I think he did a good job on the X-Force review. http://crimsonmonkey.com/reviews/review-sd...orce-minimates/ These are the first mates he has bought in years and first review ever so be kind with the replies! BTW I'm posting this hear because Sean is a good guy and got me the Free minimates they ere handing out in San Diego so I figured I'd return the favor and advertise his review to people who will enjoy reading it.

It's good as long as TRU keeps stocking them and most importantly making them abundant on their website. I think it's a mixed bag tohught with the shops. At my TRU the Battlestar mates flopped, straight to clearance no one touched them. Marvel is mixed as they always under ordered and sold out fast, but I think they are doing better with the two packs. However Ghostbusters sells like crazy! They always get case after case in and they sell fast. Apparently Southwest Florida is a hot bed of Ghostbuster fans.

I've never had any problems with the mates as I've always just preordered the complete set with variant or ordered the box sets form Previews. Saying that though TRU has given me my only whole in my minimate collection. Warpath and X-Factor Angel. I refuse to pay 75-100 for those 2 and thus far will never complete my X-Factor team.

Very excited for this, especially now that my TRU has been getting good quantities of minimates.
