It's the 25th Anniversary of Secret Wars this year. I would not be surprised to see an offering along these lines. We already know Hasbro's MU line is doing a tribute, as is their SHS line. I predict either a Secret Wars wave or box set.
An interesting idea. I would certainly go for a box set with:
-80s Rogue
-Lizard
-new Doc Ock
-new Brown Wolverine (like I said before, you gotta have one in every box set)
other possibilities would be Mohawk Storm, Ms. Marvel, or possibly someone a bit more obscure like Klaw.
This might also make for a nice wave, where you might be able to fit in the Wrecking Crew.
Great ideas, karamazov. I would LOVE a new Doc Ock with longer, bendable tentacles. And I'm on board for an 80s Rogue. I could totally see them anchor this with a new Brown Wolvie too.
Other possibilities: Molecule Man (played a big part actually), Enchantress, Volcana, Titania, Kang, a SW Doom Version, a new Colossus, Human Torch "Supernova" Version, Jim Rhodes Classic Iron Man, 80s Legwarmers She-Hulk, Wasp variant
As for the Beyonder, ha, yeah. Jheri curl for sure. Hysterical. I know he didn't sport this until SWII, but did he ever have a form in the first series at all?

The last few I saw on e-bay went for around 15-20 bucks, but someone paid $40 bucks for one today!
So fess up, which one of you overpaid for this two pack today?
Wasn't me, I got outbid by a ridiculous margin during the last flurry of activity. 20 was my limit on this one, and I was shocked by the closing price.

I was thinking about boxed sets today, and how I've appreciated the team-themed sets: Classic Avengers, Invaders, Defenders. I want to see more of these... like Champions, Alpha Flight, Inhumans. I'm curious to see what the '09 boxes will bring.

elhonez, please have a little think to yourself before posting a new thread. Think along the lines of 'hmmm... I have a great idea for a topic but really ought to check to see if it's been done before.
TM2 makes a good point but really ought to have used the report button rather than castigating a new member.
Thank you for the suggestion... I think I understand this in principle, though I'm not sure whether or not you're suggesting that I wasn't thinking at all before posting. At which, were you not absolutley correct in your assumption, I might take umbrage.
But in all seriousness, I wanted to start a thread to talk about Avengers, and only Avengers. Every forum is different & handles the delicate and oft-annoying subject of "wish lists" in different ways, and in the future I will endeavor to confine any such content to this thread.
So back to the matter at hand... with Ultron, I have my all-time favorite Avengers villain. But who would top the list as next-in-line? Kang? One of the Zemos? Nefaria? I'm curious to know what folks consider the next must-have iconic Avengers villain.

Seems pretty clear that the 25 variant will be Sabretooth -- he first appeared in an Aug '77 issue of Iron Fist, and he's had an Ultimate figure in the past.
Here's my wild guess for 26: Not only will Nick Fury be paired with an AIM agent; the variant will be a Sgt Fury from his Howling Commandoes days.

I'd personally love to see a Scourge figure packed with a bunch of bottom-rung, obscure villains. I'd even buy a playset exclusive that included the bar and some tables.
