I have to agree with whats being said you dont need a nazi symbol to make a red skull.

Either something along the lines of the blackhawk custom linked in an above post or a plain black bodied red skull in say a blade trench coat and I would be happy.

both of those mates could be packed with a WW2 Cap Am or a Bucky and I would buy

Got mine today and i really like them but there are a few minus point factors for me both have been commented on already so just really agreeing

As noted on both the plastic used on both characters shields is terrible its just wrong feels more rubber then plastic making the shields wonky and misshaped not to hard to disguise on the taskmaster as the shield is more of a bowl shape because of the mold used is same as Sue Storm forcefield. The USAgent on is worse to my eyes when looking at the figure so the thin edge of the shield is shown to you it just looks like its been left in high heat all deformed.

I also dont like the new way they attach I much prefer the loop higher on the arm with the glove slit used to anchor the peg. I will most likely take my dremell to the attachments so they can slip higher up.

Dont get me wrong I like both figures and would have scored both at least a 9 and prob a 10 on Taskmaster for all the accessories but the cheap plastic on the shields knocks points off and the new wrist straps niggle at me so it looks more like a 7 1/2 to a 8 1/2 for USAgent and 8 1/2 to 9 for Taskmaster

:thumbsup: From me my order of mates came today at around 11.30 this morning and seeing as I ordered them around 12.30 yesterday afternoon, I wasn't expecting anything till at least monday so bonus.

Again I cant say go on enough on how good the service I have got from them is. Not sure what the board policy is about promoting non banner advertising companies So if a staff member would like to PM me if I can give out the phone number etc if anyone in the UK wants it I will go from there.

Just phoned and ordered from and very impressed. They gave me a great price just going to say what I ordered inc the postage was way under where I usually go would charge just for the mates themselves.

Forbidden planet both sites have them listed at around £12 each cheaper if you preorder. (UK stock expected end of feb into march) Could be worth picking them up online from the USA now while we have a strong pound

forbidden planet has them listed on their site so I would say yes. The way I read the ongoing saga of minimates in UK/Europe is that anything that was slated to be released upto and including the wave with vision hawkeye etc will be. But anything after that we are out of luck.

I 100% agree with a number of posters here on 2000AD line would be great.

Also after doing a quick forum search someone else has the idea for Astro City well count me in that would just bring me out in the cold sweats.

Seeing as I like obscure stuff and that the DC line has already covered one thing I thought it wouldnt (Elseworlds mates)

Sorry to hijack the thread but seeing as DST posted he could have at least popped over to the marvel board and clued us up on what the heck is happening.

Bit undecided over these at the moment yea they good but I dont like the heads on any of them the hair is just against minimate style for me.

First no minimates to UK or europe and now maybe this. Looks like I will have to find a new toy to hook into.

Looking at that pic just makes me wonder what we would of gotten if DST didn't like spidey....

With the recent news that the UK and Europe will no longer be getting minimates, can I ask why (with genuine curiosity, not just internet company-bashing) it was decided to stop circulation instead of release them on time and at the same cost as the American market?

The current situation (minimates usually see distribution 1-2 months after their American release, sometimes 3+ months, and the $ sign is replaced by a £ sign instead of the price being converted) seems to be indicative of the problem with low sales, though this is probably just the price situation.

Sorry to come in so critical, as I am a slavish buyer and will continue to buy the product, but this is a board owned and created by an Englishman (and one from my home county), so it was only to be expected

Sorry for taking this a bit off topic. I dont think we in the UK can place any blame on DST for the prices that we have to pay in the UK I myself would just put that down to the UK shops themselves. Sorry but when it comes to these types of items be they minimates, busts, figures or anything like that unless they can get on to the mainstream shelves of say Woolworths etc we are just going to get stung by the owners with the old chestnut of carriage thats why the $/£ price is the same.

Only thing I know I have is Galactcus Minimate Max statue from the sister in law. As for anything else nothing I want I'm of the buy him socks age now so that works. If they release the Defenders Box set before Xmas or any other superhero mates as well they will be a sure thing.

I just saw these myself. Now I'll just sit back and wait for the Ironman wave of mates to be released after Blu-ray and HD-DVD have come and gone and we are onto the next mode of being able to watch a movie. prob 3d holographic

back in the misty days of when I was small boy I had a few mego superheroes and god did I love them. Played with em trashed em etc but they are one of the standout memory toys from way back in the 70's

I would say either of them are ok. The original movie sticks in my mind because I have seen it a few times over the years on late night tv. Having only seen the Sci-fi channel version once all I can really say is I enjoyed it. Now knowing its a bit longer I may have a look to see if there is DVD set and check it out
