Wow!
I'm impressed, loving the Borg
-
Glad to see marvel mates still on the table but I'm still not totally convinced as one of those background plaques says awaiting license approval.
IM movie mates look fantastic though if they get them out in time for the movie it would be great.

Not liking the hole in the back of ultrons head or the transparent arms/legs on vision

A Tv channel in the UK as started showing the comedy sitcom The Big Bang Theory and in it it seems that one of the characters is a superhero fan. What got me is that in the episode I have seen he is wearing a Flash t-shirt. Now what has me a bit muddled is that the picture on the t-shirt shows Flash with yellow gauntlets not the yellow lightning above the wrists.
Now I vaguely and I do mean vaguely think I remember this style of costume around the late 70's early 80's but cant put my finger on it and all the costume pics from flash websites show the lightning bolt design. Anyone else remember this or am I going mental?

Got my set in post today and loving em.
My favorite has to be Lobo it just rocks now I just have to get my Supes mate for Lobo to kick all over the place. one thought I did have is I think Gorilla Grodd is the perfect base for a Congorilla custom
Ok DCD time to how about a congo bill/congorilla 2 pack
-
Nice I like the way we are getting stuff that spans most of the trek franchises. I'm not a mega trekkie but it seems to me the only one missing from that wave to cover all the bases is a Voyager minimate.
-
Uhh my aching credit card
-
Man, this wave sucks. They systematically remaking C3 figures and voiding the originals out, there's TWO 2.5"ers in this wave, Starfire looks awful, Ambush Bug is a blank.
So we've got one good character out of this wave. Lobo. Like there was ever any doubt he'd be good. The rest just get a super duper el-PASS-o from me.
And the first person to use Lobo's quote against me gets a brick to the head.
Before we start I've been on the beer.
Who Gives a flying brick batt that they are voiding C3 there alot of ppl that couldnt because of where they lived get C3 without paying through the nose. if your a collector get your C3 an enjoy them thre only ones who can complain are the fleea bay scalpers
If you like C3 flash pay for C3 flash I for one dont care that its wally or barry as its a flash and I'm happy, same can be said for martin manhunter as it will happen (an I dont have). the money will still be there as colleters want the rare/first editions.Me I just want the characters
-
always good to see new mates but no superheroes
-
LOBO ROCKS!!!!
ok I know its caps but that figure is so great, bite me fanboy...ohh yea
-
Again it looks like DC pulls out the stops on their figures..cant wait to get these
-
cool batman gets a hairpiece, does lobo have a chain on his arm? Its on the promo artwork but not on the proto figure that was pictured.
-
Who do you guys think is gonna get the spotlight picture on the front of the packs? My votes for Flash since hes pretty much the widest known hero of the wave!
Are-Jay
I would say batman only because the fact he is the widest know hero of the wave. It don't matter that its not a modern version because I would say the yellow circled bat still sticks in alot of ppls minds more then the style now.
My votes for bats but the fanboy in me wants lobo on the packing

Someone asked in aother thread about comic book styled fonts etc and I posted about dafont.com. Well having a look around the site I came across this dingbat font that maybe of use to customisers.
There is some nice stuff in there I especially like the Hydra one

This version of Clint explains why we're getting two in the first set
How does it explain it? Maybe im just not thinking about it right. I saw it as a real disappointment. Care to explain someone?
Also, what is in Clint's right hand?
In his right hand is a gun
if you mean what is he holding on the right side as we look at at its a steel plate that he hangs around his neck it plays a very key part in the movie so if you haven't seen the film I don't want to spoil it for you
-
Sweet!! Where'd you get the cool sound effects? Is it a specific font(s), or a program that let you make the comic pages?
Comic book style fonts can be found at Blambot.com and there is alot at dafont.com in the comic and cartoon sections

I actually like the poncho slung over the shoulder much more then the original one. Wasn't going to bother with these sets but seeing the second one I'm becoming more interested. Got to say loving the holsters on these mates just need some duel holsters one gun on each side.
They are going to have a hard time selling me Madonna minimates.

To be honest nope but I do make a great effort to stay off the PC especially Ebay when I've been at the beer I can only imagine what I would bid on or how much if I'd been at the sauce.

Justice League: A New Frontier: I had a chance to watch the screener tonite, and gotta say that I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a big DC Comics fan at all, so I wasn't expecting much. I know who most of the main characters in the DC universe are, but know very little about them (except Batman and Superman). I bought the Superman: Doomsday dvd when it came out and liked it quite a bit. The new Justice League dvd is even better. You'll see everyone from Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Flash to Aquaman, Green Arrow, Blackhawk and more. I don't know how closely it follows the comic when it reveals the origins of Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter, but since I never read the comics, I didn't care. After seeing the movie I will probably hunt down some Hal Jordan Green Lantern comics. If anyone wants some info on what the movie is about just let me know and I will post some info.
New Frontier does follow the origins quite well. The Green Lantern part is spot on even down to having the alien GL leaning against the rocks thats is exactly like the comics.
I'm not up to scratch on Martian Manhunter origin..(hits wiki) Ok according to wikipida the origin in the animation is basically right the main difference being the whole area 51 locked up sequence.
Having not read the new frontier comic I'm unsure how closely it follows but either way its a good watch I too rate it above the supes/doomsday animation but I do like that too.
In my opinion the animations that have been appearing lately are what superhero toons should be and there are some good ones out there. I'll try an list what I can remember
Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2
Iron Man
Dr Strange
There are 2 hellboy animated movies as well which are worth looking around for if you like the main hellboy movie.
The above mentioned DC Superman/Doomsday and Justice League New Frontier.
Also I think they are called Stan Lee Presents which are 2 animated movies on new characters Mosaic and El Condor
but these I think arent as good as the other movies listed

Nothing says I love you like a Lobo Minimate!
-
The upcoming Clayface is directly inspired by the Animated Series design (as was the Clayface in the recent DC S3 line of figures). I'm not sure if that's how he currently looks in the comic or not, but that look certainly originated in the Animated Series. Further, the Harlequin character released in wave 1 was initially created by Timm, et al. for the Animated Series, though she eventually became a character involved in Batman's regular, comic-continuity. Given that, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a Timm-style Poison Ivy or 2-Face at some point, or at least something partly inspired by those looks.
Personally, though, I much prefer the traditional Titans to those from the children's cartoon, and I hope we can get all of the original team-mates at some point (Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy, and Aqualad) without the faux-anime treatment.
Vote from me for original Titans as well

Heres something to put you in a spin
I've been getting these marvel figures since they started in the UK and agree with everyone they are great. So I was very happy to find out they are doing a DC series as well!
Heres a link to the UK website where they have shown the first 7 figures to be released. DC figure collection
Maybe if the Marvel series is selling well in USA it wont take as long for them to pick up on the DC series.

Just read that LEGO have the rights to make Speed Racer playsets figures etc for the new movie. So I would guess thats another one gone.
anyone interested its posted on superherohype.com

Man, why is everyone so down on Nazis? Nazis are awesome!
Except if you're gay. Or a Jew. Or a non-Lutheran for that matter. Or British.
But aside from that, Nazis are awesome!
On a serious note, I literally don't understand why Nazis are so non-PC
I know that was meant to be a joke but it was a little in bad taste.
