3. Comic Hellboy:

I've seen a few other good ones, some that I really didn't care for, but none (to me) really captured Mike Mignola's artwork. I copied the face & chest directly from the comic, and as humble as I am, I think I outdid myself in that aspect. And, thanks to Luke for scultping the horn stumps for me!! (The tail in the picture is a Photoshop paste of the Mezco Comic HB figure's...now, he's got a Nightcrawler tail, sans "triangle".)

2. Apocalypse:

I don't know whether it was the Ghost Rider shoulder pads & "neck brace" or using Mariko's head for the flesh color, or how I drew the face, but I just love looking at this guy on my shelf, and actually prefer it over the official one that's coming out soon, and that's rare...

1. Metallo:

I created him in a manner of hours, inspired by a sleepless mistake I made in a PM with Graham, coincidentally just in time to enter the villain contest. I love his simplicity and the light-piped chest (no, that's not Photoshopping in the picture!!).

That's how I started out with customizing, with Scarlet Spider. Be warned, it gets addictive after awhile!

It's the first 'Mate design I drew...and yes, it got so addictive drawing them, I had to make them real!!

I've never seen Luba with clothes on before...

But all it is is a gold stripe! It's the same figure!! I'll be happy if I can put the dress uniform on their backs, so I can rotate the torsos around when I want them.

I refused to pay $15 for a gold stripe & X-Men symbol. I want to do a waterslide decal on Bones' back, so I can just rotate the torso around when I want to see the variant.

My Boomer's Cylon came without his abs/spine. Thank god I noticed it before I opened it, and the comic shop had another to swap out for. Now, I check for more than paint apps...

Got Daredevil & Elektra and Yellow DD & Kingpin (those were the combos, right?) on clearance at Sam Goody because I though they were kinda cool.

Two days of playing with red DD later, I had to go to Tower Records (long before I worked there), and buy every single one they had, at retail prices, no less. I remember getting Ult. Cyclops & Jean, Thing & Doom, and the Giant Size X-set, among a few others.

All this talk of fastball specials made me want to do this with what I think is the best wolvy so far.

What annoys me about this is that I cant get this type of balance with Legends figures LOL

I love that movie, but one complaint I had was the "merry-go-round" Fastball. With CG "stunt doubles" running rampant in pretty much every movie made nowadays, I was hoping for Wolvie to hop backwards onto Pete's palm (held as if he was a waiter holding a tray), and get launched that way. That's what I saw in my mind, and was kinda bummed when we got what we did.

As for balancing MLs, I never had a problem perching Shadowcat on Colossus' shoulder, and Wolverine's not much bigger than her...

I never even found Ghost Rider. My friend found it, kept GR & gave me Daredevil. Which is fine. I like DD. GR's his favorite character of all time. Still want GR...
