awesome stuff, needs to be up scaled in photoshop but well worth it, check out some of the scene's at my website below

    Hey Winkerbean,

Which sets do you have and how much do you need to scale them?

I've been thinking about getting some of that stuff for a while but am worried it wont scale up without going through a lot of paper/ink.

Can you post or PM me an example of the actual and then a blown up version?

    Thanks

    T.

Or post 'em for all to download? :D

  2. The FYE in Fox Valley Mall in Aurora doesn't carry toys, though I've bought Simpsons movie & Harry Potter 5 figures there.

The FYE in Stratford Square Mall in Bloomingdale only has a smattering of BSG 'mates. I snagged the girl figure in the latest "Adventures of Spawn", though, so it wasn't a complete wasted trip.

Woodfield's a little far for me, and I can't afford to drive out there on a "maybe they'll have them"...

Can someone help me? Scarlet's the first minimate custom I ever designed (but never got around to making), and to see it a reality is just mindblowing...

  3. I've checked a Sam Goody. Which had a fairly broad selection of toys, actually, but no MiniMates of any flavor. :( My quest continues...

and I am jealous of the quest....the closest I get to the thrill of running around hunting for toys anymore is for my sons CARS cars....all my toys are either pre-ordered, ebayed or gotta through friends on here....I mean is still some fun in the unknown time frame of getting stuff like these FYE sets but nothing compares to the physical hunting of it lol

    Jeff of the Minis

Tell you what. You can have my "experience". All hunting does is waste gas and time and cause frustration. If that gives you a rise, you're more than welcome to it. Nothing makes me more satisfied, happy, giddy even, than walking into the first store I stop at, and finding everything I wanted. It's happened more than once. Just not often enough. Life is too short to be looking for something and not finding it.

  4. If someone's helping others out, I'm in (to get help, or offer it, should I be able).

I checked FYE last week, but nothing. I'll check again tonight, but I'm not hopeful. Only two near me, and only one carries figures. And, that one, they're as stupid as one should expect a retail employee to be (was I the only one who knew something about what he worked with? no matter the retail store?). <_<

  5. Well, I can't afford to be so forgiving for a shoddy product that completely wastes my money. It's awesome that you make enough that you can just shove money into a paper shredder, but I don't. Maybe if they put a little more care about their customers into their products, no one would have any reason to get upset.

  6. Prime is pure love.

Megs got tarnish on his chrome parts, and I had to vinegar then clearcote them.

Now, I'm afraid to TF Screamer.

Anyone had any problems with Magnus or Skywarp? Should I bother trying to hunt those down, or should I save my money?

There's not really much that they could have done with a problematic mold and design.

Better plastic quality? Shouldn't that fix the stress marks/snappage problems?

  7. And, now there are reports of stress marks and breakage, just like with MP03.

    Nice. Thanks, Hasbro.

(And, before anyone starts attacking me for blaming H or something that's not their fault: this time, it is. Who else manufactured and released this? If you can give me a more responsible person, I'll blame them instead.)

  8. Also, I needed Caretaker's hat for my Indiana Jones custom which as been finished except for the fedora for a good year, year and a half, now...<_<

Alright, I didn't really care before, except to be disappointed in DST for cancelling another line after taking pre-orders (seriously guys, figure that out before you start promising items to people). Now that an Indiana Jones custom has been thwarted? Now I'm disappointed. Of course, DST could always release an official Indiana Jones line to assauge my grief...

I'd settle for that. Of course, getting the Indy license would mean that Star Wars 'Mates wouldn't be far behind, and I can't think of anyone who'd argue with that!! :P
