  1. Kirby, Is this a West Coast date or do you think it'll hit everywhere? (I didn't see these on the Diamond Ship list that I saw) Pretty sure it's Left Coast Gets 'Em Early again - especially if it isn't on Diamond's list. Oh Well... that means AFX won't have 'em for another week. At least I won't have to race around to get the variant.

  3. Woo Hoo! That means AFX will ship soon. I still need to raid my LCS for an extra CAG Apollo/Starbuck set... I've got plans to swap my extra Boomer head and the head from the duplicate Helo from the variant pack to make a couple of Quick customs of Boomer & Helo in their dress uniforms.
  4. Usually with the change in status, it's an indicator that it's close or expected very soon.
  5. I was at an out-of-town Suncoast the yesterday. They had 3 of the 5-packs, but all still at full price ($19.99).... No luck finidng sale cylons around here.
  6. Sorry to burst your bubble folks, but lego have the license to make indiana jones stuff . Then again, they are also making batman stuff and we have batman mates . Vigilante Hasbro also has the Indy license for figures in both the 3 3/4" (Star Wars-like) and Galactic Heroes (small, not really poseable) scales.
  7. SHe's probably not Tech-saavy..... kinda like my boss.
  8. Did anyone take a look at the 24 - Season 3 pics that are in the Product Debuts section of DST's website. These look like another cool wave of 24 mates. I hope they have more accessories like wave 1.
  9. OK - I'll Play 1. BTTF Doc Brown - Great Scott! 2. Get news about new minimates and discuss the products 3. "Shanezakstan is a small eastern european country where everyone has beards and the word 'cock' means hello!" 4. One of those Red & White & Yellow Hot Dgg on a Stick beanie-hats (though you need the lemonade-makin' pogo stick contraption to do it justice) 5. DST announces Michael Jackson Minimates and lots of 'em! 6. Shanester - 'cause he seems to be an all-around cool guy who takes a lot of cr@p (see #3 & #4 above) with a good sense of humor 7. Sci Fi TV/Movie marathon 8. Make celebrity deathmatch a reality - First match: Britney vs Paris in a Chainsaw Match 9. If a chicken-and-a-half takes a day-and-a-half to lay an egg-and-a-half, then how long does it take a monkey with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a dill pickle? 10. A quarter and a nickel (though one coin is not a nickel, the other is)
  10. As I read this - it started as a legitimate complaint by someone who got some hell spawn mini-zombies from hell spawn.com and was annoyed/disappointed that the packages came with a large, indiscretely-placed sticker on the pack. I also saw hell spawn.com make an offer to correct the problem at N/C to deal with an obvious customer service issue - not unlike Mad Scientists's efforts to fix the Rocky hair issue. It seemed that it was a learning issue for the hell spawn folks that will help them in the future. How this topic has deteriorated into a bash-the-cr@p-out-of-hell spawn.com thread, is a little beyond me. Let's all remember that marketing channels like Target and Toy R Us aren't lining up to distribute ghosts like they once did. Mad Scientists relies on places like hell spawn.com to help bring their products to market. Though the pricing may be high, compared to other mate sets, at least there is a conduit here to distribute another set of characters that may have otherwise never found a home - the horde of disappointed people that still don't get it that Target Bela Lagosi ghosts are never coming can attest to this.
  11. Ahoy there! First of all, let me say that I'm having a blast with all the cool minimate licenses that are coming out, especially BSG, ST, BTTF and 24 and I really appreciate all the cool giveaways and interest in the consumer experience. 1. Any chance we'll see at least 1 more modern BSG wave (beyond wave 4) before the series ends? 2. Does your ST license for minimates include all the franchises? Does DST plan to expand minimates into all of those franchises (consumer interest and sales permitting)? 3. Though it's a really cool and unique license, what prompted the For a Few Dollars More set? (it seems such a non-traditional theme, given the dominant comics, sci-fi, fantasy, action themes of much of DST's existing licenses and the industry in general. Regards
  12. Well Kirby.... what do you hear? So far your information is the most accurate
  13. That information matches what the BTTF.com people said a couple of weeks ago: http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.ph...=3490&st=20
  14. Do you think DST and Minimates could do justice to the brown, crushed-velvet uniforms and feathered hair?
  15. Don't get too excited.... there's nothing official that I'm aware of about any waves of BSG past wave 4 (and the Kat/Mortar Cylon excclusive). With the end of the BSG series coming, I'm curious what characters everyone would like to see, if there were just 1 more pass at the license before the series goes. I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on characters that have been missed so far and/or variations of existing charaters that you'd like to see in minimates as well as the pairing of packs of related characters. Do keep it uniform... define the wave in the same terms that BSG has been doing so far... 3 2-packs + a variant 2-pack. To make things interesting, you can figure one additional exclusive 2-pack. Have fun... Here are my thoughts: Pack 1: Aaron Doral & Tory Pack 2: Cavil & Anders Pack 3: Leobon & Colonial Marine Pack 4 (Variant): Leobon & Female Colonial Marine Ghosts from New Caprica Exclusive: New Caprica Starbuck (Long Hair & tattoos) & Ellen Tigh
  16. The crew wouldn't be complete without Nurse Chapel or Yeoman Rand. I'd also like to see Transporter Chief Kyle just to get someone in one of the utility jumsuits from TOS. 17. Cool contest! DST's efforts to stay in touch with it's fans/consumers never ceases to amaze me.
  18. Though I'd like to see the other Franchises explored.... I'd be excited to see the Wrath of Khan theme explored too.... the Red Jacket uniforms were some of my favorite and I'd really like to get a whole crew (I can't afford the $100+ to get the big figures) A Tribbles wave would be cool too with both the original aliens and guests as well as the "Trials..." DS9 crew
  19. See below for details - details of the episode are masked for those who haven't seen it yet I'll have to go through my DVD's and find the exact episode. I think it's the one where Anders & the resistance are sabotaging the cylons on Caprica,
  20. If I remember correct, ST;TWOK was dated "In the 23rd Century" Therefore, 24th Century would be TNG/Voyager/DS9 era.
  21. For me.... these, BSG, ST and BTTF are up there along with 24 (which I've never seen on TV). I'm not into the Marvel and DC stuff so much. Though this isn't one of my favorite themes, I'm sure I'll get 'em because it is Clint Eastwood, after all.
  22. In the spirit of Minimates, we can declare it the holiday on June 14th. Then, about a week before, we'll change it to August 7th but we'll actually celebrate it on July 25th except the West Coast which will celebrate a week earlier. Sound about right?
  23. Just an FYI for any who are collecting the Large (8") DST figures for ST:TNG, the new First Contact Data is shipping now from AFX and a couple other e-tailers (AFX seems to have the best price at $11.99) Like the Nemesis Geordi, these are numbered and limited to 1,701 pieces. They're much nicer than the original Nemesis Data that came out for the movie (with Picard, Shinzon & the Viceroy). The new First Contact Data is closer to the scale of the subsequent Riker, Troi, Worf, Geordi and FC Picard figures and the uniform colors match. First Contact Data also has an interchangeable head and arm and interface cable. He can look normal with a removeable hair piece on the back of the head that you can plug the cable into. He also has a battle-damaged head and arm, so he looks like he did at the end of the movie, with the exposed robotics on his forearm & face. No base or away team equipment. This is a nice way to get a uniform FC/Nemesis bridge crew. Dr. Crusher is on her way after the first of the year to round this crew off. DS9 Sisko and both Ezri and Jadzi Dax are due out in the next month, in the same uniforms along with Odo in his uniform. If you're collecting these, they've got great detail and DST has done a great job with the faces - I hate to say it, but the DST BSG faces are not very good likenesses compared to the Trek sets.
