Thanks TBT, I've been having a hard time swallowing it all.. and all the different dates made me wonder. I guess I'll just have to be patient and see how it all unfolds.

Wizards Wave 18 Does look like the movie line up but on 17 they list Peter Parker and Eddy Brock and I haven't seen them listed in the box sets or target sets so that was throwing me a bit.

Still a little confusing...

The Important Question to me right now is: Are we really getting the Target Spidey 2-Packs this Spring?

Still no sign of that table on the net. There was a seller on ebay that said he thought he would be posting one soon a few weeks back but that was the closest thing to a lead I have found.. and it didn't happen. I may have to take my patience up a notch and think of this as more of a year long project to track down that table.. hahah

oh well.. Feb 21 is just around the corner and I'll be knee deep in DCD mates.. that should sooth the pain.

Don't get me wrong, I love Spidey and I am excited about many of these upcoming (civil war iron spidey and web armor spidey) but doesn't this seem like a bit much? Is all of this accurate? When do we get the official break down of where all of these fit? Are we really getting back to back waves of spiderman plus Target exclusives? (I don't remember Target ever getting a guy like Web Armor Spidey that has not been done anywhere else.. all of the Target "variants" have been guys that are already out there.. with a different smile painted on.. not a completely new guy) (I know someone will argue that Spidey is not new but a Silver Web Armor Spiderman is a VERY distinct character.. just surprised me that's all)

So ya, totally confused by all of this, Spring vs. July, tons of sets with dupe characters and lots and lots of spidey. When will we have the official dif-list up?

Just when I think that all current news on Minis is out there and it will be months until a new reveal... BAM they hit me with Iron Spidey! Sorry to those that are sick of Spiderman but I have been wanting to see Iron Spidey since I saw him in The New Avengers.. and if the Silver Web Armor is in there too well WOOT WOOT! I am as excited for these as anything Ive seen in the past 6 months!.. (Avengers the other biggie for me)

My local comic shop owner told me today that he is expecting Wave 1 on the 21st. I don't know where he gets his info (maybe he is looking at the same stuff we are) but he thew that date out to me without me asking about it. With the big postponements that have happened with this line, I would not be surprised if they are getting them out as listed on the DCD website.. I don't know why they would list them early just to jerk everyone around (after a 6 month push back) but I really don't know how this industry works.. so after all is said and done, looks like we will all know in 6 days. Cheers.

Alan Scott/ Solomon Grundy is too good an idea to pass up

I think that Alan Scott/Solomon Grundy is a real solid bet. I believe DCD did a Pocket Super Heroes 2-Pack with those two characters a few years ago. I'm not saying they are following the SPH line but the paring has made sense to them before.. so I could see it happen again.

I'd be REALLY surprised if Alan Scott is not announced in one of the next couple waves.. I think with the way the waves are going, he is a pretty solid bet!

As for Kyle, the more i think about it the more I'll just be happy to have another GL. My first custom minimate was the black and white costumed Kyle.. it isn't a perfect paint job but I gave it a good shot. After John Stewart came out last summer I made my "Superman-The Animated Series" Kyle Rayner by putting a Dare Devil head on Stewarts body and painted a mask on him. I do hope they keep going with the GL's.. Guy and Kilowog were a surprise for me.. they are showing lots of love to the Corps.

I thought about this for a while.. and reviewed my Justice League Guide for ideas.. my first thought was that they may want to finish the current JLA with minis.. making Black Canary, Vixen, Black Lightning, Arsenal, et al important.. but they seem to be all over the place with this so I went with my gut:

So with the wide net DC has casted for character selection in the new DCD Minimate line.. it's probably just a matter of time until we see Kyle Rayner. My question for discussion is,

Which version of Kyle Rayner do you think we will see?

My first guess is his 2nd costume which was seen towards the end of the 90's and into this century. I do think there is a chance that we could see him in his first costume which was mostly black and white with green accessories.. but who knows?.. So now for the long shot question, if the line is successful and we start getting variations of some characters (other than Supes and Bats) do any of you think there is a chance of seeing Ion?

Sorry to be a fanboy.. I am just a fan of GL's in general and would love to see as much as they are willing to put out there.

Everyone cross your fingers and hope this line has TONS of success.

I tracked down a good price on the Superman set. I'll donate the figures to the kids and keep the chair. Now to see how patient I can be watching ebay for the table and chairs set. (quite a few batman sets out there too.. but seem a bit expensive.. I think I'll have to show some patience there as well)

We also need to see the little squirrel guy. Man it's good to see GL fans here. I too may have to buy 3 or more packs of Hal. Maybe I could make the Star Saphire's into I, II, and III.. I know there has been a few characters to take on the Saphire mantel.. I believe this one is based on Carol Ferris. I am so stoked these are finally here!!!

Great discussion. I agree that in block figures you can only go so far on making them "artist accurate". There have been so many versions of characters over the years that I look forward to seeing what direction they take this line. I am keeping my fingers crossed that when it comes time to do Ion that we get the 90's costume and not the current one. hah heh... I know that is a long shot.. but in the GL line they have SOO many versions/characters to choose from.. why not do them all? As for Supes, I'd love to see some versions that have not been done in other figure lines yet. What ever they choose.. i think it's a safe bet that Superman and Batman will show up in some form in every other wave or so...

Is there a hi res scan of this poster anywhere? I'd love to make some wallpaper with it or something..

I hope these do well. As far as I know there is only one shop in the state of Utah that plans on carrying them. That's the smallest distribution of any minimate product to date in this area.

Man, I am a little bummed. I've watched 3 targets over 2 counties closely for the past few months and they skipped right over the Iceman two pack. Quite a few Beast/Kitties and stuff...

I really wanted that blue Iceman to complete my set. Ol' Icey has been a fave since back in the Spiderman and His Amazing Friends days. Is anyone still seeing Iceman out there? and if so, where?

Ok, I really want the table now. I've been watching Ebay and nothing. I even tried a couple of the usual online toys outlets and all out of stock. Does anyone have any leads on just the main table set? I think I can get the Superman and Batman sets pretty easily still but that main Martian Manhunter with Table set is no where to be found. Maybe I don't know the right places to look.. ? who knows. Thanks in advance to anyone that can give me a heads up...

Those darn crotch pieces. I am really wishing I could find another Target that carries the new line. This Target skipped right over the Iceman box and went straight to the GSX. I was hoping for a new Iceman.. oh well.

I've only had luck with heat and careful negotiation of the limb. Nothing else has worked and i went through 4 Nightcrawlers trying to see what fixed the issue.

This was the first thing I tried to do. All of the NightCrawler two packs were sold out and this was the only Target within an hour of my home that sells them. They offered cash back but my boy has been waiting for Nightcrawler for a couple years now and he didn't want to give him up. So he plays with a one legged nightcrawler (the other leg 'bamfed' away) hahah. The one leg remaining is about half torn off as well. So eventually I'll need to cough up double the cost and get it on ebay or something.

we were able to pry Dark Phoenix' arms off by pulling outward instead of twisting.. but we have shot WD40 into Night Crawlers legs for 2 days now and can't get it to budge. We already have one with broken legs that can't be replaced so I don't want to push too hard on this one to make it functional.

Is there anyway to send in the broken mates directly to the manufacturer?
