I'm sure if we"d included Jane FosThor or Sam Cap we would have gotten complaints about re-dos. These are all at least new costumes and characters, except Hulk. I'd rather see complaints that they don't know who a character is -- too classic, too modern, not the right corner of the MU, all highly subjective and totally fixable with some reading.
Not that a Legacy wave is not still possible.
I've never complained about not knowing the characters, I've repeatedly said I'd buy a case of characters I haven't read just for troop building (if they look like army men or civies) and customs. Also I don't think this Spider character fits into someone "not knowing who they are" seeing as how I don't count a 2-3 page (6 panel?) appearance as getting to "know" the character. Like I said I'd even have bought the entire wave just for the unknown surtur if he was even close to scale.

SDCC is good news. Not too much of a wait.
My guess:
Modern Bullseye & Ghost Driver (with parts for modern Ghost Rider)
Modern Daredevil & Blindspot
Modern Luke Cage & Iron Fist
Modern Moon Knight & Hellcat
Are Daredevil and Moon Knight anti-heroes?
I don't think I'd count daredevil as one

I can't say that I need a human sized Surter but i'll pick one of those packs up to take a closer look. At worst I can hopefully use his tail for a custom i've had in mind. The rest just aren't for me. Still hoping for Ulik at some point.
BD, I too only collect minimates. The value of 2 figures for $7.50-$8.00 is irresistible.
I know what you mean. It shouldn't bother me as much as it does but the scalinges irks me. I know it's impossible but it doesn't stop me from wishing minimates could at least make blank 4",6",8" mates with random accessories or something. Or pack in build a figure pieces of a bigger figure. :/ if they did that with surtur this wave you bet I'd be buying the whole wave, and I haven't even read any surtur stuff.
This is also the only line I collect.
@DSTZach I need that Cap! It could be a legacy wave, and then we could get Kate Bishop and cap.
Hydra Cap/Sam Cap
Infamous Iron Man/ Iron Heart
Unworthy Thor/Jane Foster
Hawkeyes Clint/Kate
TRU
Spider-Man with glowy Spider from Amazing Spider-Man (idk how we haven't gotten that yet)/Miles
I'd pick up doubles of all those.

AFAIK the green outfit is just a promotional/cover design. In the books I've seen he wears this design.
The one time we can't get a figure based on the concept/promotional art. And he's gotta appear in the costume at the end of the run, or else that's just a waste of a good design, and opportunity. I havent seen a modern costume change, even if it is just promo, in the last couple years that I've liked as much as Hydra cap. I also can't believe we didn't get unworthy Thor, instead of a Thor we've seen 20+ times Before, or another Jane Foster Thor.

That front left one is badass
-
Well my wallet is safe. I was at least hoping for green Cap but I guess that's not happening. Hopefully in another wave.

I always meant to buy a case or at least the 7 non-chases of the marvel but I just never did. It sucks too because even though SK venom's legs weren't as cool as originally shown he was alright.

@BuffaloDeloreanDon't get me wrong I'd prefer to have the comics be cheaper. I'd take $2-3 issues with no cards or holographic covers. I'm just saying for $4 they could try to show some effort or add a little bang for your buck.

Personally, I think $4 would still be too much, even with fancy covers and trading cards. IMO those kinds of gimmicks are like action features in toys, they raise the price without actually improving the product. It's the same thing with fancy packaging.
I loathe action features on toys a lot more than a holographic cover or overpower card. It can ruin the articulation. I think some holographic covers are cool but I wouldn't want every one of them to be. Also I'd count the cover as part of the comic as packaging usually is just throwaway material to me. Plus cards are cool to collect. I do agree it's still too much though.

If I were gonna get Slayers I'd want there to be a wave with like
Spidey
Tombstone
Robbie Robertson
JJJ
Smythe
Scorpion
Spider Slayers
Smythe can be the variant, we could have one of Alistair Smythe and one of his father.
And maybe the the TRU exclusive could be a mutated Smythe and a different version of the spider slayers. Robbie and Tombstone could be the LCS.
Hopefully we could get a camera accessory with Spidey and a cigar hand with JJJ and maybe a newspaper too with Robbie.

Replace Shocker/Speed Demon with Boomerang/Overdrive
Maybe as our army builder Spider-slayers
It would be a travesty to have spider slayers in a wave and no Smythe mate, sir.

It reminds me a lot of the 90's, minus the chromium hologram embossed covers.
nowadays Marvel would be like "want a cover like that? That'll be $10-15".
I feel like for $4 an issue a hologram cover or overpower card isn't too much to ask lol.

No Hammerhead? I feel he's long overdue :/ but I want tombstone is as well >.<
I'd take random thugs. Easier to make for DST probably? Pack em with like 2-3 guns and I'm good. Pistol, rifle, shotgun.
This wave is still a total must buy for me though

Cardiac does hold a special place in my heart cause he's one of the first spidey characters I was introduced to. Along with Identity Crisis and the Slingers. Talk about a box set Dream... but alas we get another Walgreens spidey.
-
That 90s X-Men Walgreens wave is an amazing idea.
-
That's what I was thinking. I looked up marvel.com and minimates and the latest thing I saw was that. I got my hopes up for a sneak peak of the next wave lol

CBR has Series 74 now, and is prepping a story for this week, as far as I know.
Marvel.com has Walgreens 6 now.
Spidey villain is in TRU 24, which SHOULD be at SDCC. That display case at SDCC should be pretty magical. I just saw TRU 25, not sure it will make it there.
You mean Walgreens 5 right?

Prowler or jackal is what I'm calling.
-
I'm really surprised we haven't seen hammerhead or Silvermane yet. I'd like to see those two in the same wave.
Itd be nice to see a Spidey and crime bosses wave with them and Kingpin. With maybe Daredevil and some random mercenary/thug army builders. Dream wave.
-
I understand that just having Osborne's Thunderbolts would be disappointing for some, but I'll take that happening over waiting years and years and no iteration EVER happening.
-
Where's the silk and ozy set? Any pics? I'll have to check my TRU I want at least 2 of all of these for customs and for the set. Where were they at in you guys' TRUs?

Ben Reilly Red Suit Jackal with parts to make an updated Scarlet Spider. You'd only need a slipover blue chest block since he'd already have the red arms and legs and a different mask.
Miles Warren Jackal (how do we not have him?) the hobgoblin already has the ears that would do the mate justice.
90s Kaine with also battle damaged clone conspiracy Kaine with the half mask and beard.
Spidercide? Although I wish he could be 2 1/2 inches
obligatory Pete if the rest of this was ever lucky enough to be a wave
Female Doc Ock
Updated scorpion but I guess we'll most definitely get one at least in the next 3 years or so.
Juggernaut?
If Vinymates ever get to make large marvel characters...
sentinel
tri-sentinel
mastermold lol
civil war gi-ant man

Respectfully disagree PL. I get your complaints though but I love how this was an ENTIRE movie dedicated to what they glossed over in every other Spider-Man franchise. He's continuously getting the hang of his powers/what he can do in Homecoming. We get to see him do stuff I've only ever seen in the comics
The difficulty of traveling in the 'burbs where there's not buildings to swing from was great to see. We also get to see him continuously try his hardest to help but come up short because he hasn't got the hang of it. Like with this Spider-Man and his naïveté I can get why JJJ has gained traction with calling him a menace. I definitely get your complaints about the suit for sure. I mean my favorite character is Ben and I'm pretty sure they just took his signature impact webbing and made it a stark invention, but I'll gladly support Holland as Spider-Man. He IS Spider-Man to me. I'm not ecstatic about some of the changes like everything tech or an MJ they don't call MJ, but I've already seen it twice and now trying to watch the Raimi Spider-Man is just difficult to do. I could watch this movie on a loop if only for that "come on Spider-Man" scene under the rubble.
also did they set up wrecking crew with damage control?
the way stark said "it's above your paygrade" but then said it's below the Avengers' made me think they could be coming to the phase 2 of the Netflix shows after the Defenders happens.
we could finally get mates of them!

Isn't this the Pre-Civil War Reality TV New Warriors Vol. 3 team? Seems a strange choice for a children's comedy series especially if Nitro destroys Cinematic Universe Stamford as the season climax.
Well the MCU's CW happened for completely different reasons. I know that's how I found out about them but I'm not sure why it would happen. Civil war part 2? I mean
apparently the registration/coming out as a superhero is still strong in Homecoming
im just glad Speedball gives us our second MCU Thinderbolt after Gargan. Now they just need to introduce Osborne, Bullseye, Moonstone, and Sentry. Ima perfect world Daken but oh well lol.

That may be what he's wearing out in the open but I still refuse to call him Hydra cap without the gold and green. Yes he's working for Hydra in that costume but I need that sweet relish and mustard cap.
