  1. I dunno, Trekker posted a link originally. As for the animated, we know next to nothing about it. All we know is it's a clip from something to come. I would assume it's going to be the next season, but they haven't officially released anything on it. Now that we know though, it makes that scene a little less humerous. I mean, since he's not really (as far as we know).
  2. I can't wait for the animated season. If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, here is a clip:
  3. I didn't even realize ep. 100 had more than one ending! Gonna watch that right now. I really liked York. I was sad to see him go. I also really like Wash though. Among the regular characters, I really like Tucker. Wish he was in the new season.
  4. Alright, so I figured I would start this thread to talk about RvB. I think this is like the 6th season now, so there's plenty to talk about. The current season is without a doubt their best yet. It has a lot of serious and deep stuff but is well balanced with some of the funniest stuff yet. (Although time traveling Church will always be my fav.) Also, the new cartoon (I'm assuming next season?) looks hilarious!!! I'm not sure if people have seen it but it no longer uses the Halo engine.
  5. Speaking of RvB, is anyone current? That show is getting really deep!
  6. This is pretty much the kind of stuff we talk about at work. The consensus here is something on water, like a boat. Zombies can't swim and just sink to the bottom, so swimming pools are a good short term escape as well.
  7. I haven't played MGS 4 (only b/c I don't have a PS3), but I do know that it is the final chapter in the saga of "Solid Snake," the main character in most of the previous Metal Gear games, and references all the other games pretty heavily. You might want to at least start by getting "The Twin Snakes" for the Gamecube, and if you like that, moving on to MGS2, MGS3, then MGS 4. The other 3 are very cinematic, and reference the others (including the 2 NES games) pretty heavily. Having said that, you could play through and follow the stories in any of the 3 without having played the preceding games, but it makes for a much richer experience if you know the larger story. Plus, though MGS 4 is supposedly the pinnacle of MGS gameplay thus far, the others are amazing games that shouldn't be over-looked. What he said.
  8. I love Dick Grayson, don't get me wrong. He's one of my favorite DC characters, but there's nothing they can do with him when he lived a normal life. That said, the idea of him starting out as Robin, or something along those lines is good. Also, his full name is Richard. (I'm pretty sure) Why DJ? That's retarded.
  9. Despite what you guys may think the "new" Btaman actually NEEDS Robin. Continuity has it that Batman continues to become more and more dark until he borders being a villain himself. Robin is his light. That said, this is a dumb idea.
  10. Isn't the Spirit a DC owned license?
  11. Alright, so some of you might be wondering why I'm not posting. That is, of course because of DC's continuity. It is a beautiful/frustrating thing. "How can it be both?" you ask? Well last year Civil War screwed up a couple times with things like Black Spiderman. You'll never see that type of problem with DC because they pay attention to EVERY detail. To an annoying extent. Issue #3 of Final Crisis ended with Barry & Wally (The Flashes) run 3 weeks into the future. Time in the DC universe passes at approximately 1/3 our own (Buy 3 comics and a month has passed in DCU). Thus, they have to wait 9 weeks to release the next issue of FC. I'll post again next month when I've got something, So see you then.
  12. This concept is so incredibly well "pulled off" that it is probably the real reason I decided to do my first return Minimates movie on Green Lantern. Can't wait for the summer... Blackest Night.
  13. No, I agree with you Two FAce... I just didn't know which emotion "Sky Blue" was. I wasn't sure, and since this is one of my favorite things in comics I didn't mind going a little "deeper." Jcas, this stuff is ALL OVER the internet! It's very deep and involving, however so it's really hard to get it all in one spot. Some of the major lantern characters have switched corps at this point and it's really interesting stuff to read. Essentially here's some of the important stuff. 3 colors to the left of green and 3 to the right. It's like a teeter totter. All emotions are kept in balance by someones will. (green) Yellow (Fear) is to the left of Green and is countered by blue (Hope) Orange (greed) is just outside of that and is held in check by indigo (compassion) Finally to the extremes are red (rage) and purple (love). The closer you are to the centre of the spectrum the more a user controls it's color. The further you get from the centre the more a color controls it's user. Colors are neither good nor evil. Love is not good, it can often lead to Jealousy. Rage isn't evil. If a person gets angry about a little orphan cripple getting beat up is that wrong? Okay, I'm not sure if any of that made sense I rambled really fast and it's late, but essentially Yellow is run by Sinestro and his buddies. Green, the guardians and Green Lnaterns Purple the Star Sapphires Orange the controllers (who made the Darkstars corps and MAnhunter robots) Blue is run by the Guardians who got kicked out of the corps, most notably Ganthet the "main" guardian. Indigo & Red are newbies to the scene. Okay, maybe I'll go into more depth later.
  14. Not even close twoface. Not sure if you know much about the spectrum but "entry level info" is that: Red=Rage Orange=Greed Yellow=Fear Green=Will Blue=Hope Indigo=Compassion Purple=Love
  15. I'm curious about this Neo. What are you up to? On a similar note I think Geoff Johns has stumbled upon something that has a massive list of spiritual conotations. The whole color spectrum can be used on so many levels.
  16. Alright, well here's the part where I challenge a bunch of adult men about what their deep enjoyment is in playing Lego Batman. Don't get me wrong, I played Lego Star Wars 1 & 2. I see that it is a well built game, but seriously? Nowhere NEAR being a game that would keep my attention to play 4 of them. Last night I bought my 4 year old son Lego Batman. He has already beaten ClayFace, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Mad Hatter, Scare Crow, Harley Quinn & The Joker. DISCLAIMER: My son turned 4 2 months ago, but is REALLY good at video games. Still though, my son almsot has this game wrapped up over night and he's FOUR YEARS OLD. Anyways, I get that's it's cute and it's a game about Batman, but seriously. Anyone want to touch on this? Umm, in the time it took me to write that he beatr Bane, only solidifying my argument.
  17. It's all good Neo, I'm pretty sure I've voiced my opnion several tyimes in the past that I'm pretty much the "happy medium" between you and TBT. While I can appreciate your desire for more song diversity in RB I don't think I can cross that line and downgrade the GPraise. Oh and as for what Dan said about Halo, since there are more achievements now the sword is neasier to unlock (which actually annoys me a bit since before you had to earn it). IF you're still looking to be Hiro Nokomora, nows your chance.
  18. Lots to comment on here: Halo updates will take some getting used to. I think they're cool with the exception of almost no DLC in the DLC hopper. Gameplay vs Graphics is right, gameplay IS more important. The statement , however that the Wii is funner to play than the 360? A pile of crap. The last time we turned on our wii was months ago. Since then my THREE YEAR OLD SON has got bored of that gimmicky system. Sorry guys, but I guess Nintendo has just really let me down in the last year and I almost wish I hadn't bought the Wii at launch. Gameplay > Graphics 360 > Wii Alright, so here we are back to song choices in RB. While I listen to contemporary christian music, I can't believe you consider the bands on RB obscure Neo. Are you trying to tell me you don't know bands like: Plain White Ts (Hey there Delilah) Dashboard Confessional (Hands Down or Vindicated) The Who (My Generation or Behind Blue eyes) The Cars (My best friend's girl) Linkin Park The Monkees Foo Fighters (learn to fly) The Killers (When you were young) You don't seem like the kinda guy who would listen to Metallica so those are a bunch I thought off the top of my head you might recognize. No? Hey I just stumbled upon this review at 1up for Lego Batman. It's an interesting point of view. It's not really based on gameplay... But according to the reviewer Lego games aren't normally. Take a look: http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3170169
  19. It's all these damn "kids" thinking they can "replace" Relient K with Hawk Nelson. Times are changing. Kam, I seriouslky laughed out loud when I read about the burning bush. Actually, Jimmy Buffett has a couple songs with some pretty intense lead guitar. But you're right, better suited for a band than a loner.
  20. Guitar Praise might very well be crap, but I think it's important not to undeerestimate this title. At this point I think the thing have against them is insufficient advertising. I don't think I'll nbe picking it up, I have too much invested in RB. That said, 1up.com, one of the largest online videogame websites ran a story on it a few weeks ago bringing up the fact that this Christmas parents might go that way who were horrified to find their child playing Guitar alongside the devil in GH3. My biggest complaint of course is that there is only 1 Relient K song (and not one of their really good ones). The song by Red, however is a good payoff. Oh! Forgot to talk about the music available in Rock Band! Lots of folks (neo ) are complaining about variety, and I admit, it has been a problem... But they ARE resolving it. They now have music from people I couldn't have predicted like Alanis Morrisette and Jimmy Buffett. Plus they have quite a few bands that are on MY MP3 player like Dashboard Confessional, All American Rejects, PANIC at teh Disco and Plain White Tees. Wow: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3170011
  21. Yep, lots of bad reviews circulating about SW Force U. Due greatly to ther many glitches (this ones for you Donny). As for guitar preferance, I've found it boils down to which guitar you LEARNED to play on. I've yet to see this theory disproven. I'm assuming you learned to play onm GH Neo? Oh and Neo, this one's for you: http://store.digitalpraise.com/index.asp?P...&ProdID=135
  22. LOTs of things to touch on here. I fall into that category of peopl who are neither as hardcore as TBT or as far right as Neo. That means when I get around to it I'll be picking up VPinata, but am also a HARDCORE RB fan (I might go into how hardcore later). Someone mentioned how cool it would be if there was an "Ituners Video Game Store." ... Umm... Obviously we haven't played rockband? Rock Band has a store thats updated with half a dozen songs every week. By the end of Decmber is will have reached 500 songs. Add in the 200 songs that come with RB 1 + 2 and thats 700. This is where I haver to spit in GH's face. When it launches next month it will have 80... Opposed to 700. Though it will have bands like Michael Jackson (there you go Neo) and added gameplay which RB doesn't have I HATE a cash in. ... Which is exactly what GH is. Since Activision bought it from HArmonix (the makers of Rock Band) they've done nothing buit whore the license. When Harmonix created GH it was putting out 1 game a year. After Activision bought it they started 2 games a year. This year 3. Next year 6. 2010 NINE. Are you kidding me!?!? That is retarded! They've already leaked info on games like GH Hendrix, but I URGE you guys: If you're going to buy a music game do NOT support this obvious misuse of a license. If they actually make MONEY off of their 15 games in the next 2 years other companies will follow suit. I would MUCH rather a quality game once a year than 9 piueces of crap.
  23. Use the "search" option on Youtube.
  24. Wow! Big points to Havoc! It was never meant to be "hidden," but no one seemed to notice him in the background of episode 1. That is a bit of a hint at whats coming several episodes from now. They'll be more of 'em keep your eyes peeled.
