  1. Well, I omit Nightcrawler, Iceman, Archangel, Wolverine, and Rogue cause they already essentially have Jim Lee-era minimates done of them. (Though Rogue could use her jacket) However, Colossus could be replaced by Forge maybe. We haven't gotten a minimate of him yet and his look was pretty consistent for a period of time. Jubilee was left out cause while she was a part of the 90s toon, she became more interesting as a character when in Generation X...of which maybe a boxset could be done for them.
  2. Actually those were the costumes they wore before Jim Lee was given the ability to design their famous individual uniforms that were also used in the early 90s X-Men cartoon, which are the ones I'm referring to be used for on Minimates.
  3. No problem. I'm just curious as the comic store I go to is still a descent drive to get to and I don't want to drive there and find out they're not there yet or something. If anything, I'll probably cal them on Wednesday.
  4. I'm new at the whole ordering stuff from a comic book store and would appreciate anyhelp on this actually. I ordered some DC Minimates through a comic book store near me. They said they get their stuff in on Wednesdays. I'm just curious if that's how most comic places are and also if they usually get their stuff in the morning or later on in the day?
  5. I have two questions, but they really seem to go together as my first goes into what I ask on the second. 1. I'm just curious on Marvel Minimates in that the new waves just coming out and soon to be coming out are fan-demanded Avengers and X-Men related characters. Was there a poll to prove this, simple word of mouth at conventions, or simply the makers decided they wanted to make these characters/teams? 2. Would there ever be consideration for a couple box sets devoted to the Jim Lee-era comic "X-Men #1' from the early 90s much like the "Giant Size X-Men" box that was done a number of years back? There could be two box sets for this. One being the "Blue Team" with Jim Lee styled versions of Cyclops, Beast, Psylocke, and Gambit and a "Gold Team" with Jim Lee styled versions of Jean Grey, Storm, Colossus, and Bishop. And maybe an exclusive figure of Professor X in his hover chair to round it out. 3. Are there any characters in the Marvel or DC universes you're prohibited from making?
  6. Hmm... Should I just post it as I have it written as you think? I mean it's both questions and suggestions.
  7. We've gotten many versions of the X-Men in the minimates line, but there's one version of the mutants we have not gotten yet...the Jim Lee-era/90s toon versions. Below is a letter I'd like to send as a suggestion to the guys behind the Minimates, but not sure whom it would go to in hopes of maybe reaching the designers eyes... DST or Art Asylum? Since AA is part of DST I'd gather them, but not sure... Also, if some questions I ask in the e-mail can be answered by anyone, then I can take it off the e-mail. Hello. I'm just curious on Marvel Minimates in that the new waves just coming out and soon to be coming out are fan-demanded Avengers and X-Men related characters. Was there a poll? Or was this done from word of mouth at conventions? Or simply the makers decided they wanted to make these characters/teams? I ask on this cause I'm wondering if there are plans to maybe do more box sets themed after stuff like the 'Giant Size X-Men' set that was done a while back (which I also have yet to acquire), The New Avengers, and Astonishing X-Men? I would love for there to especially be maybe a couple box sets devoted to the Jim Lee-era "X-Men #1' from the early 90s. (Iceman, Wolverine, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and the upcoming Archangel are already good enough versions really so as to not need to make new versions of them really) I know a lot of people would love to get these versions of the X-Men. It's like how with the DC Minimates, people want the core 7 members of the JLA or Teen Titans. I'm not sure if this was the right e-mail address to send this to, but hopefully it is and that maybe my idea will be taken under consideration by the awesome folks whom continue to make Minimates. Keep them coming! Sincerely, A Minimate Fan
  8. Indeed. Its even great watching him in Killer Klowns from Outer Space and MSTing him there. Whats your favorite episode, I can't decide, but Zombie Nightmare (hey, case is closed), Space Mutiny, Prince of Space and Merlin are smong the best. Hmm. I do like Space Mutiny and Prince of Space, but my top three would be The Final Sacrifice, Hercules Against the Moon Men, and Pumaman
  9. Mystery Science Theater 3000. One of the best TV shows of the 90s in my honest opinion. ^_^
  10. It's definitely not too late. I got started late into the Minimates thing cause at first I thought they were silly. Then I picked up a two pack just for the heck of it, and suddenly I was buying up all the Marvel Minimates I could for a while. My interest faded off for a while though for about a year or so, but then just this last month I found my box full of them again and it started all over. Now I'm trying to get all the DC minimates I can cause of the missed minimates in the Marvel ones I wanted. Even the newer Star Trek ones are on my list of 'to buy' as I went to my local comic shop and got Kirk and Vina along with Scotty and the variant McCoy. It's plastic crack I tell you! LOL
  11. Thanks for the tip on the Flea Market, I almost got another mate I was looking for already...Nightcrawler. If they don't make a MM for the DC minimates, that would be a big mistake, and I'm glad I waited on the Flash since we get him next year. Old woman: "There's only one thing a man like that wants." Crow T. Robot: "Sour Cream with Chives!" LOL Hilarious scene that was there from Deathstalker on MST3K. Good times, good times. ^_^
  12. Sanata Claus would SO kick Martian butt with his sleigh of doom. I have all four of those as well as a number of the MST3K DVD boxsets. Love em! I so wish they still had the show on. Yeah, I see how difficult Martian Manhunter is to get a hold of...so hopefully like the Flash and Nightwing, the DC Direct minimates line will get him put in for fans. I SO want my core 7 Justice League members. MST3K is still one of my favorite shows and I try to get anything to do with them lately. The Film Crew DVDs they've done as well as the four espisode DVD sets they release every once in a while. Which reminds me... MST3K vol. 12 comes out Tuesday, and I'm so buying that. Hamelt was also a good episode that is on one of the DVD sets... Now if they'd just put Pumaman and The Final Sacrifice on a DVD set I would be so happy. Or MST3K minimates are created.
  13. Truthfully, I'd love to have a Minimate Jim Lee/90s toon version of all the X-Men at some point. The Iceman and Wolverine's we got are good enough to pass as them. Rogue is close, just needs a jacket. And the upcoming Archangel is perfect. Actually, it'd be cool if they did like the New Avengers and Astonishing X-Men four packs and created a "Blue Team" and "Gold Team" 4-pack thing... Blue Team: Cyclops Beast Gambit Psylocke Gold Team: Storm Jean Grey Bishop Nightcrawler Yes, we've gotten versions of a number of these characters already, but these would be the best and honestly last versions of characters like Cyclops and Storm they'd need to make. I also however agree we need non-zombie based versions of Giant Man, Wasp, and Black Panther.
  14. I'll try my ideas in, along with reasons why... Beast Boy/Terra: Since Wave 7 has Starfire/Nightwing and Wave 8 has Cyborg/Raven, this pair is a shoo-in if they're doing two Titans related characters per wave. Maybe we'll get Donna Troy/Kid Flash in Wave 10 if it comes true to complete a New Teen Titans team. Black Canary(modern)/Huntress: A Birds of Prey duo makes sense, plus it would be dang cool. Plus it makes way for a second wheelchair bound minimate (Professor X being the first) with Oracle. Martian Manhunter/Solomon Grundy: Many of us don't have the final member of the big 7 to the Justice League that was in the C3 sets and put him with a desired villain that would be another 2.5 inch minimate and you've got instant purchase. Kyle Rayner GL/Jade: One's a Green Lantern, the other was the daughter of one, both used to be a couple. And Green Lantern related stuff is cool. Nuff said.
  15. Hello all, I've been collecting minimates for some time, mostly Marvel ones back when Target and a local comic store carried them, but then for a while I stopped. I recently unearthed my box of Minimates though and it has re-lit the fire to collect these again within me, especially now with DC minimates added to the mix. I collect Marvel, DC, and Star Trek minimates now. I'm on a crusade to get my hands on the C3 minimate Batgirl and Martian Manhunter. Anyway, nice to meet everyone.
