  1. Actually, yes. Tatsuo Yoshida created Mach Go Go Go which then became anime and then crossed the sea to become Speed Racer. The manga has been reprinted a few times...by NOW Comics back in the 80s and by DC/Wildstorm in 2000. Wildstorm also produced an original mini-series (collected as a tpb, but it's hard to find) called "Born to Race" which was a prequel to the series. Seven Seas Entertainment has a new Speed Racer manga series scheduled for Summer 2007 (www.gomanga.com) So, yeah, besides being a pop culture icon there's plenty of comics connection to Speed. Jeff
  2. Good heavens people....over-react much? DCD pushes stuff back all the time... Jeff
  3. Exactly. I think some people are losing site of the fact that the DC 'mates are a DC Direct product ('though in conjunction with AA doing the design/production) so they'll be released wherever DCD products are released. 'Though it sure would be nice to walk into Target and see DC Minimates side by side with Marvel. Jeff
  4. Actually aren't the first DC Minimates due in late August? (they're originally scheduled for August, but with DCD you never know) That'd make them next. There's so much Minimate goodness coming I'm on overload....and I'm broke so it's gonna be tough keeping up with this stuff. I'm really excited about the Speed Racer minimates. I think they look great and will be haunting TRU come early Sept (gee...like I don't now!) Jeff
