Shipping in a padded envelope is $5? It's a nice looking set, however I know nothing about Dark Reign or the Dark Avengers...

Alright, Mirymate. That's your cue...

Sorry I'm late...

You remember during the Civil War, one of Tony's least brilliant ideas was placing Osborn in charge of the rouge hero hunting Thunderbolts. In the closing days of the Skrull Invasion, Norman leads his T-Bolts in defense of Washington DC. And Norman himself is seen on world television executing the Skrull Queen as other assembled heroes finish crushing the Skrull forces. Thus the world perceives that Norman Osborn saved the world. And since a Skrull virus disabled all Stark technologies as part of the opening shots of open war, and not just armor and Helicarriers and quinjets, but every cell phone and notebook with Stark tech in it went down, combined with Tony's having been the public face of SHIELD and world safety and obviously failing to see the Skrull's infiltration, Stark loses all vestiges of public support. Stark is out, and Osborn is placed in charge of SHIELD, which Norman renames HAMMER (it stands for nothing, Norman just thought it sounded cool), and the 50 initiative. In addition to his public power grab, Norman quietly creates a secret inner circle of powerful villains to help him maintain control. Called the Cabal, it initially included Dr. Doom, Loki, the Hood, Emma Frost, and Namor. Before anyone complains about some of these guys "working" for Osborn, Doom agreed pretty much to be released from SHIELD custody and has already told Nroman to step off, Namor and Emma betrayed him, and Loki, while apparently loyal, is doing his level best to manipulate Norman to Loki's own ends. In essence, Norman is playing out of his league. We're at the point in the story now where things are starting to spin out of Norman's control, Peter Parker's released proof of some of Norman's dirty dealings (trying to combine the Goblin Formula with the Super Soldier Serum did not play well on the 616's You Tube), and the President has started refusing Norman's requests. The "Siege" storyline is both Norman's attempt to destroy Asgard from Nebraska, cause he can't control it and it's all about control with Norman, and the heroes rising up to overthrow Norman.
