VivaDCMates Posted February 20, 2008 Share Posted February 20, 2008 I just registered primarily to express my shock and dismay about losing the DC line. I think my exact reaction when I heard the news was "Huh-bada-whaaaaa?" and then my heart cracked in half. I'd been meaning to join for a while, and this is what tipped the scales. I guess I just need the support of an entire community to get through these difficult times... Anyway, on a less melodramatic note, I've been getting minimates since around last February, I think (whenever DC wave 1 came out.) And I've been hooked ever since. I collect the DC line (obvioulsy) and have all of those. I recently expanded my horizons to include Trek (those are all covered), BSG (all but the Kobol Six variant), and Marvel (I have about half of these right now. If anyone has some suggestions about how to finish filling out my collection of these, I'd love to hear them and they'd be greatly appreciated.) I'm looking forward to being a member here. Yeah it's a shame that DC is going the way of C3 (possibly) but the beauty of minimates is that there's always another line to get into. I was primarily Marvel, then C3, then I got a couple of Lord of the Rings and was hooked and had to get the lot. Same with SFII. Now I'm Marvel/DC/BSG/ST/24 I'll probably pick up the Rocky sets at some points too. I can't recommend the want & have list enough when it comes to filling your collection.
