  1. Three words: A New Hope. Fox's Marvel film rights may be what everyone is hoping for but I would bet that Disney is also looking long and hard at getting the home video rights to the original theatrical cut of Star Wars Episode IV. That's really just about the only thing holding up fans getting the original theatrical cuts cleaned up and on Blu-ray and Disney making bank on the sales.

... Also have we heard about a 5th pack?

Considering there is a sculpted head or 3 that could be used for this season's big recurring villain I would be totally down for a 5th box set. We still need Butch (with parts for his new look) and a proper Barbara. Throw in Carmine Falcone (to keep tooling costs down) or Poison Ivy and this seasons new villain and I'd say you have a really nice box set.

  3. Found the latest wave today. Got the two Carl Weathers packs I wanted so I can display both looks. But they only had one of the Arnold packs. Plenty of the other two. Not sure I knew the Lava Predator has a clear red body. I might get more of the other packs eventually. But right now I just need another Arnold and I'm good.

I found full cases of these, and half a case of Beetlejuice (luckily they still had one of each - I grabbed the Otho pack for myself, and the BJ & Lydia packs for a coworker) at my closest store on Saturday.

And Menagerie suddenly has multiples listed on ebay. Coincidence?

Iron Man made the Buster Armors for the 5 non-Hulk avengers (6 with IM) ‘just in case.’ They all used them to battle Thanos when he tried to take over reality. The Banner-Buster came about when the Leader attacked the Avengers after siphoning Hulk’s gamma energy. Banner made the armor to prove his worth without the green guy. More or less the history of them.

Thanks for that info. Sounds like a cool story.  Who are the other Avengers that got Buster armors? Hulk, Cap...

  6. DST's current Trek "figures" seem to be more along the lines of deluxe dioramas than actual action figures. Pre-posed "figures" with alternate swappable parts for a little diversity in displaying them.

Hopefully "Discovery" getting a second season will help retailer interest in Trek of all flavors and maybe we'll get some Minimates eventually. Perhaps in a movie year if "Discovery" is still going?

  7. Yeah I'm definitely going to need that Capbuster. I don't watch these shows so I'm not familiar with why there are Hulkbusters in most of the incarnations. Honestly I don't care either. DST is getting some mileage out of the AoU Hulkbuster tools and I'm getting some cool 'buster figures for my Hall of Armor and that's good enough for me.

Last time I saw it on eBay, Elf Spock was bringing in about $150 US.

Really?! I just got one in a lot with the Mirror Mirror figures, Spocks Brain and Swashbuckling Sulu and more for $62 including shipping.

Speaking of, I just completed my TOS crew collection with the above mentioned ebay lot. With some help from Facebook trades, ebay scores and Luke I was able to get all of the characters and their variants (except all the gold shirt Kirks, who needs 5 of that guy? He's like the Wolverine of Trek 'mates) This pretty much relit my Minimates collecting fire. Stoked to get this last lot and put them on display with the Mega Bloks sets.

I haven't seen the packaging yet but it might be that these don't have the required warnings to be resold. Which would be odd since a choking hazard is a choking hazard, free or not.

The labels on the bags for the giveaway figures I've gotten had the safety warnings on them (choking hazard, bag not a toy, etc) as well as copyright/TM. That's a standard liability thing, especially with toys regardless of their distribution method.

As for the "Not For Resale" label, that's not much different than individual Twinkie wrappers from the big multi-pack boxes that have "not packaged for individual sale" on them. The "Not For Resale" just means they aren't meant to be sold to the general public. If you want to argue semantics over the language then go for it. But don't read anything into it other than these are giveaways, plain and simple. If the person they are given to decides to sell them, well so be it. But CoC or Nickelodeon or DST or whomever aren't selling them, which is why they have that label on them.

Now, who has them in hand and wants to show off some pics? I'm really curious about a close up shot of the shield with Civil Warrior. Looks like a brand new tool which is exciting.
