I skipped the First Class set (though I might have to get them now) and the other X-Men 'mates so getting some of the main characters in this set really worked out well for me. Would I have liked to see more of the future X-Men? Yeah, they have some cool designs. But as my only mutant movie themed set this hit all the right spots for me.

Be a great place to reuse that exploding torso from the T-1000. Not entirely accurate but close enough for me.

I have both but my Avengers Widow is packed away and Winter Soldier Widow hasn't been opened yet. I know there is a comparison picture out there somewhere, I've seen it (IM2 Widow is a freaking AMAZON next to Avengers and WS). It may have originated on the Freaks forum but I don't think I saw it there. I'll see if I can dig it up. This paperwork here at work isn't going anywhere.

Ditto. I know they can't reveal where it will be available (else no one would hunt for it at Sears) but I hope it comes out relatively quickly and doesn't get bit by the "cancelled due to lack of interest" bug.

I'm using the Dark Magneto Wolvie, I prefer the brown costume too. But I really like the new Brood-verine' s claws, boots, etc. better, so I currently have him going berzerk a top a BAF Sentinel. The lifts in his boots aren't noticable when he isn't standing next to other MMs.

I also am using the blue tinted Iceman in this pic. I liked the look of him and he was cheap and easy to find (for me at least). But I intend on grabbing a frosted Iceman at some point.

And I'm liking how that green Phoenix is looking in that group shot. Might try to grab one of those as well.

Is Ice Man really going to be white or will he be translucent? I wasn't clear on that.

If you can see the video he appears to be solid white with translucent accessories.

Clearly the figure is white but I thought I heard Zach say something about a "cool new piece cast in translucent so it will look like ice." I wasn't sure if he was referring to the ice blast or ice slide which are already cast in translucent plastic or the currently white figure that will be cast in translucent.

Just hoping for clarity, that's all.

99% positive he's talking about the ice slide which is a new piece.

*sigh* I too was hoping I'd be all set with just a specialty case but doesn't look like that's going to happen. I hope we'd be able to order full cases (with complete sets) from K-Mart/Sears & TRU but I know that won't happen. So I'll be paying ebay prices for the exclusive characters and chase figures. Disappointing news. Understandable from a business perspective but still pretty disappointing.

I find that Sideshow's figures are more play friendly than Hot Toys, which I generally pose and display. SSC figures feel more durable than HT and can stand more handling, in my experience anyway.

I went ahead and preordered the exclusive Deadpool. I figure I have until July (when my flexpay starts) to back out but if I don't I know he'll go for a pretty penny on the secondary market.

Plus I kinda want to set up Deadpool and SSC v.2 Snake-eyes squaring off, each with a word balloon attached. Deadpool saying something snarky and Snake-eyes just saying "..."

I preordered Chewie but had to pass on Han. That face sculpt is off enough that I can't justify the $230 for him.

Wouldn't the cuckoo's work within the "not technically an army builder" thinking? I don't know much about them.

That was my thinking as well. I haven't read much of them but my impression is that they are like twins but with extremely enhanced telepathic connections between them all. They have individual names and personalities but are really close to each other.

They could also technically fall into the "dead" category as a few of them have been killed. Weren't there like 7 or 9 of them to start and then they got whittled down to the 4 or 5 there are now? Like I said, haven't read much of them but I do recall at least 1 or 2 are dead.

What about Spidey villains? Some of them are dead right? And they could make up part of the Sinister Six.

Preorders help retailers & manufacturers guage interest. If there aren't a certain amount of preorders (which varies by retailer) then the product might be deemed not worth the retailer continuing to offer it or the manufacturer to make more. Take this Aliens dump case for example. If preorders weren't high enough then retailers would be hesitant to order any future product like the Alien 4-pack or the (hopefully) forthcoming 2-packs making it harder for DST to branch out into these other properties. That's why I try to preorder whenever there is something I know for sure I want. Its all about supporting the brands/retailers/manufacturers you love.

And I second the desire to see some pictures of these from Zach.
