I'm wondering if the "old MM properties" that might return are ones whose agreements have lapsed. Terminator seems most likely, despite the next film being pushed to November 2019.

So no more Gotham, Watchmen, or iZombie. :(

DST hasn't lost the license to The Walking Dead, have they?

I think by DC Zach meant DC Comics not the TV shows. Remember the TV shows are a separate license from the comics properties.

Zach had production samples at Toyfair, they are most likely on a boat or in a warehouse, hopefully DST's, not TRU's.

    Is that confirmed?

  3. Depends on how far along in production it was. The Infinity War TRU sets were offered to specialty shops because they were already made, packaged and in the warehouse. I would imagine the same could be done with this series if it is in production. If the factory hasn't started work on them then it might be a while until DST finds a place for this series to be released.

They have the Teen Groot & Rocket pack up on Big Bad Toystore but you have to buy them as a set with the other two packs.

Yeah they haven't been breaking up sets much in the last year or so.

  5. Yeah I tried to check my Rewards balance this morning and there was a message at the top of the Rewards site that said the program was cancelled effected 3/22/18. Glad I used my last $5 reward when the first news of the closings hit.

And no that 5% discount isn't an incentive at all. It was on the gaming and specialty figures like NECA, McFarlane, etc if I recall correctly.

  6. I'm in for that Collector. He'll go nicely with my MCU GotG, maybe in the back of the shelf since he's not a perfect match.

Hope you guys like at least one and a half packs!

Okay, that's half a pack. Just one full one left to like.  ;)

  7. Stopped in to my closest TRU (Van Nuys for those in L.A.) and the discounts were at between 5-20% depending on the item. Most were 10%. Minimates were picked through with only the Dark Tower and some NBX sets left. Most of the store looked like it had the usual stock levels, except Lego which weren't as fully stocked as they had been. Not picked clean though at only 10% off.

First thing I noticed when I walked in was they still had their "Now Hiring" sign up by the front door.

They are tempting, but I cannot seem to figure out how many you get with your purchase. If you get all 4 base plates and the connectors for $25, that is a good deal; if you are only getting some if that, then maybe it isn’t.

They're on Amazon. You get 4 base plates and a bunch of the brick connectors. I will say these are not Lego quality. They aren't bad (I have a few different sizes and shapes myself) but be aware they aren't top of the line.

  9. Walgreens is a drug store not a toy store. Street dates for toys are probably new to most of their employees. They are also not as knowledgeable about the toys as they are the other 99% of their product. Expecting them to know anything other than what their system tells them is unrealistic. Be patient. We'll get our toys eventually.

  10. The embargo is most likely due to the release of Black Panther in theatres. They want to move Black Panther merchandise while the movie is fresh on everyone's minds and not lose sales of that merch to Infinity War merch. Is it silly? Yes but its business.

It's funny that official pics from all the toy lines (not just minimates) won't be out until March, it'll be less than 2 months before it premieres when they finally come out.

They have Black Panther merch to move. Probably don't want it getting overshadowed by the onslaught of Infinity War product coming.
