  1. For me it´s Suspended Animation Captain America. First of all, beacuse it came if the kind of accessory you don´t see in any other action figure collection, the ice block. Second, because it´s represents an iconic an important moment of the character without been so specific, it´s still works perfectly as a "battle damaged" cap or a "blow-out disguise" cap.

We have a lot of other Caps, Wolvies, Spideys or Deadpools in EVERY toyline, but for me, this Cap is the more unique figure we can have in the minimate line. When someone asks me why I prefer Minimates instead other toylines, this Cap is always the figure I took as example as the potencial the line has (in terms of look, comic books visual and accessories/extras)

  2. I finally got the boxset from Luke and I loved the figures! The Valero´s armor is a great piece both sculpture and paint! The Harsk torso cover too, has a lot of detail on it!

My only complaint is that even with smaller bodies both Harsk and the goblin have the same height of Valeros, and Merisiel is the taller figure. But to fix this I just raise the Valeros torso a bit and all the figures look great together now!!! I´ll get the other goblins now to make a small horde!

  3. Does anyone happen to have an extra Carl/Burning Zombie set? That's the only set I'm missing now and it looks like Luke doesn't have it anymore.

I saw a few sets in NY at Midtown Comics Times Square and Grand Central too. At least 2 packs in each store. Sorry I can´t get them too you, I passed there during a business trip but maybe someone from NY can confirm to you if they are still there?

  4. I don't mind that DST skipped a few characters. The prison guys for me are skipped, don't last long neither are sooo important in the story (besides Dexter). But there's a few others that are very welcome specially Sophia, a new Maggie and a new Eugene!

  5. Man, I feel your frustration!!! It´s really hard when you really want an item for your collection but it´s really har to get.

I´m from Brazil. I think you can imagine haw hard is for me and my friends to make our collections. Of course we have action figures here but not minimates! We have to count with the Ebay and specially with Luke. When we found a TRU item in the Luke´s store, we are really happy, don´t matter if it costs a few bucks more!

It´s hard to be a collector outside US!

  6. @Gregio

From where do you get your Depron foam? I was thinking about trying a diorama, but I couldn't find the foam you suggested. Thanks!

That´s great, Onix! I liked much more when I started to make my own diorama instead of trying some existing playset and bases. Sadly, I don´t know if I can help you because I´m from Brazil. The first search I made was on the Brazilian Ebay but then I googled it and find the Depron Foam in stores of handicraft materials and party decoration.

You can try too some Hobby Stores. I doesn´t know but they used Depron in R/C airplanes (to make them light and durable).

I hope that these can be a good start to you!

  7. Man, really great!!!

Here in my country is hard to find dioramas or good playsets for sale. The the toy stuff with bright colors and weird acessories/gadgets.

One option is use WWII model kits/dioramas that requires assembly and paint. To have this kind of work is better to make one from scratch too.

  8. Same feelimg here. I don't buy movie stuff and prefer the classic comics. This series get me the moment I saw them! I started to read X-Men regularly a few issues before this team started and they become my favorite x-men team (with the Outback in second). Since I started collecting minimates I wish for Banshee and Forge! I'm really looking forward this series!!!

  9. I saw them in the Toy Fair. The mandibles are just tampo the head is sculped on top giving the a more round read with the sculped dreads. The heads with masks are totally sculped.

From what I talked with Zach, the license didn't include AvP neither the comic books, just the movies. All three. There in the Fair they showed a few characters from every movie. Dutch (2 versions), Billie and Dillon from the firsts (among with two different versions of the Predator), City Hunter and Harrigan from second and Edwin and Cuchillo from Predators. No super predators showed. For now.

  10. Yeah, I think you might be right about that wind tunnel accessory. That's pretty cool. Why does Jubilee come with two of the same head though?

i think that one is with the glass up. I saw them in the Toy Fair but can't remember. I paid more attention on the new licenses sadly

  11. I didn't read the comics but really liked the wave! I'm planning get only the falcon/red onslaught set but I confess I'll read the issues just because the figures. If I liked maybe I'll buy the while set.

The Capfalcon visual is amazing and my plan I'll be using the Red Skull visual with the trenchcoat and replace the stump piece for the Cosmic Cube habd from the Skull-Zola.

  12. Thanks, guys! I'm mading too small dioramas for each spot of my shelf, simple things like just floor and walls to improve the visual and give to each group a better display! Each spot will be an "environment"

  13. I like to use Depron Foam, it's a more "structured" foam. Its harder but easy to cut and don't leave that small foam "balls". Them, use a simple pencil you can sculpt it to make textures like bricks, cracks and anything you want. I use acrylic amd enamel paints, proper for hobby.

    Sometimes I use cardboard too.

Due to the minimates figures' style, even a simple dioramas match perfectly. You don't need a lot of realism to use with the mates.

Here are some of the dioramas I made or still finishing! The Hershel Farm I made with cardboard one day I was bored. The others are made of depron. The rooftop outdoor still need an Ad!
