  1. I think Jewel is a more current or "newer" charecter thus considered more pertinent. I read most of my comics in the 80's and 90's so am very familier with Mockingbird, plus didn't she have a long running tryst with Ollie North (Green Arrow)? I've never read anything with Jewel or if I did it didn't leave much of an impression. My two cents...

  2. I saw the singles at stuckakid and battlestaronline.com too. Problem is that the Sixes are the hardest to get - everone is sold out of 'em and the dead one sells for a premium.

I ordered them from youbuynow - they showed up yesterday.

    Good Luck

When did you order them from youbuynow? I ordered them as singles from the same site and haven't heard a thing... <_<

  3. I bought the 80 gig model, mainly because I wanted Metal Gear Solid and it was included. And I understand the 80 gig model is somewhat backward compatible, never know when you might want to pick up some cheap PS2 games to broaden you library. BTW the DVD portion is OUTSTANDING! I had a high def dvd as well as a high end regular DVD and the picture was phenom! Good luck and tell us whet you get!

  4. Die Hard has to be my favorite movie of all time. I managed to piece together a full set of the Palz on Ebay. Haven't looked in a while but seem to remember there being a lot of them on there, as well as the blind box auctions.

  5. Weren't the Civil War mates a NY Con exclusive also by AFX? And aren't they still selling them on thier website? While I would love to be the first on the block to have these I can't imagine they won't be available on AFX website at some point. Patience young Jedis....... B)

  6. Soooooo hope it isn't looked upon as reviving a dead thread but didn't see a reason to start a new one. Anyone planning on going to ECCC this year? The dates are May 10th and 11th. I'm new to the PCNW and thinking of dropping by!

  7. I think frosted iceman is the rarest.... i would even be so brave as to categorize him with stealth ironman and black elektra these days.... hes one of the few marvel minimates that im missing <_< out of the original and the blue-tinted version.... i think the blue one is a lot sweeter... being able to see the details is a plus B)

Not sure if you're still looking for this ...

  8. I managed to get the $30 Indy truck chase for $10 at Tatget. Used what little money I really didn't have, but I snagged it and never looked back.

    How? Was there a sale?

    Pricing mistake

Lucky. So how's the set? Is it as good as the other Indy sets or is it the one to skip?

Actually I've never been a huge "playset" fan, so both the Raiders Ark tomb and Jungle set held little interest for me. I was surprised by how many pure old school pieces Lego has been dragging out of storage for this set. Off the top of my head, there's the horse and saddle, the treasure chest, and several Cavalry pieces. The truck is VERY nice, with a canvas back that easily comes off, but can be secured so it doesn't move at all. It's a nice robust 6 wheeled monster. There IS a place to Indy can climb under the trust (you have to remove his hat), 2 of the grill bars "pop" off, and there's a catch at the back to place his whip so you can drag him along behind. BTW, his whip is rubber in case any one was wondering. It's molded into the curved shape but can bend to extend. That was driving me nuts before. The car is also a really nice piece, with a driver and a place for a machine gun at the back. Fortunately they include just a few extra pieced that I tacked on to make the gun more machine gun like. There's also a spare tire on the back of the car.

Over all, a nice well rounded set. Legos have always been over priced IMHO, but if you can catch this under the $30 mark, by all means go for it. Even if it's just $25. $30 is, eh, up to you. I'm sure if I had a job still I wouldn't even blink, but as it is that's like 4 months worth of raman noodles. Which I've been eating. For breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Haven't posted in a while, probably doing this wrong but definitely felt your pain about the ramen, maybe this will help...

  9. Or hearing Bob Dylan, as All Along The Watchtower is originally a Dylan tune. I really don't know what to make of the song. Does this hint that they will end up in our present day Earth? Is Starbuck really alive, or was that Lee's hallucination? I can't wait until 2008!

As far ast Starbuck being alive they did make a Minimate of her... Hmm. Actually I read or heard somewhere (sorry really no idea where, maybe extras on DVD interviewing with the actors) that they were going to do something with the story line from the classic series Episode 20 "Experiment in Terra". Could Starbucks reappearance be along the same idea?
