  1. I am pro choice, even though my choice is no abortions ever, so I could not get behind something like a prolife cause. I liked Fuji's idea of people who have changed the world but instead of the Carbon Fund I feel the money should go to Amnesty International. It's a world wide human rights organization and I think that is something we could all get behind.

  2. I'm hoping the comic packs will be around $13-14 (maybe just a tad bit more than the Joe comic packs), which would make the price much easier to swallow.

Regarding the customization, I actually wish they used screws in their backs like the old GI Joes. I'm guessing that, similar to the 25th Joes, you have to pry open their backs with a screw driver, and re-glue them together to get their torso/arms/crotch apart. To me, that is a pain, and it is really easy to scratch the heck out of their backs before getting them to come apart (at least, that was my experience with the Joes). Am I wrong? Is there an easier way to get them apart? Hasbro actually released a tutorial on how to take 25th Joes apart, and it is floating around on the interwebs. . .somewhere.

I agree with you on the comic packs. I was mostly referring to the ease of popping off the heads and hands of the figures but as far as getting them apart have you tried boiling them to melt the glue holding them together. I will have to attempt to find this phantom tutorial you speak of.

  3. In an attempt to get this thread back on topic. On of the really good things about this line is all of the other 3.75 inch figures that have come before it and the vast opportunities that are available to customize these figures. I don't really care if the 6 inch Legends come back, the quality has been way off since Hasbro took over the line anyway. My only grape is the price. It's too much for one figure of this size and the limited number of accessories that come with it.

  4. I actually had to wait almost two months for them to ship four minimates :(, i just eventually contacted them, and they sent me an extra free minimate with my order

But their prices are too good for me to not buy from them :)

The one time I ordered from them I ordered on Thursday and had them in hand by the following thursday.

  5. So DC and Warner Bros. are finally gearing up a Green Lantern movie and I am stoked. Martin Campbell is directing the script of Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. GL is in my top 3 of all time favorite superheroes. Rumors hit the net hardcore that Chris Pine is being offered the role of Hal Jordan. AWESOME. Here is a good pick of Mr. Pine, and if the name sounds familiar it may be because he is playing Capt Kirk in a little movie called Star Trek this summer.

  6. I have seen this movie twice now and still don't like it. not one bit of it. what has made Iron Man and the Batman reboots so good is that it is taken seriously as a film property. Even the Tom Jane Punisher manages to do this. this movie however is a return to the kind of comic book movies that nearly killed the genre (I'm talking to you Batman and Robin). The Punisher character is all about revenge, someone killed his family so he wants revenge... on every criminal. I have seen many good revenge movies and I don't understand what is so hard about making a great Punisher movie. The fact that the gore was so dialed up in this one is insulting. Its as if they had it in pre-production and knew the script was terrible and one of the higher ups stood up and proclaimed "I got it!! We all know that the script sucks so what we should do is make the violence so graphic and outrageous that no one will notice. It works for the Saw movies every year." Egh. It did pass some cool minimates our way though so I can't be too mad.

  7. I just got home after watching the Watchmen and without getting in to it to deep I will say that I liked it for the most part but it is a lost to digest and for the first time in a long time I want to see it again so that I can form an educated opinion about it.

  8. So I went to Megacon this year and like always I got some great minimate deals. I think that this year I got what may go down in history as the greatest minimate deal ever. I bought mates from 3 different booths.
