I like that idea. I really loved Fuji's suggestion to customize those people and AI fits pretty well here.
On the other hand, I guess customizing more popular characters might sell better on eBay, which means we'd have more money to give away in the end.
Maybe we could do fantastic versions of great people.

I am pro choice, even though my choice is no abortions ever, so I could not get behind something like a prolife cause. I liked Fuji's idea of people who have changed the world but instead of the Carbon Fund I feel the money should go to Amnesty International. It's a world wide human rights organization and I think that is something we could all get behind.

I'm hoping the comic packs will be around $13-14 (maybe just a tad bit more than the Joe comic packs), which would make the price much easier to swallow.
Regarding the customization, I actually wish they used screws in their backs like the old GI Joes. I'm guessing that, similar to the 25th Joes, you have to pry open their backs with a screw driver, and re-glue them together to get their torso/arms/crotch apart. To me, that is a pain, and it is really easy to scratch the heck out of their backs before getting them to come apart (at least, that was my experience with the Joes). Am I wrong? Is there an easier way to get them apart? Hasbro actually released a tutorial on how to take 25th Joes apart, and it is floating around on the interwebs. . .somewhere.
I agree with you on the comic packs. I was mostly referring to the ease of popping off the heads and hands of the figures but as far as getting them apart have you tried boiling them to melt the glue holding them together. I will have to attempt to find this phantom tutorial you speak of.

In an attempt to get this thread back on topic. On of the really good things about this line is all of the other 3.75 inch figures that have come before it and the vast opportunities that are available to customize these figures. I don't really care if the 6 inch Legends come back, the quality has been way off since Hasbro took over the line anyway. My only grape is the price. It's too much for one figure of this size and the limited number of accessories that come with it.

The tears of Chuck Norris can cure all diseases known to man. To bad Chuck Norris has never cried.

I actually had to wait almost two months for them to ship four minimates , i just eventually contacted them, and they sent me an extra free minimate with my order
But their prices are too good for me to not buy from them
The one time I ordered from them I ordered on Thursday and had them in hand by the following thursday.

Jack Bauer named his cat Chuck Norris.
Because it was a pussy.

Took the kids to Tru today and nothing.

I picked up the movie Logan and Wolverine today. Didn't like the Sabertooth and the movie Deadpool just makes me sad.

Hal going to Oa for the first time, in the last half-hour. And that'll suck lots.
No way. Think Mos Eisley but everyone is battling with power rings. Awesome is generally the term people use to describe something like that.
-
I think that the first one has to be all about Hal. Other Lanterns could begin to appear in subsequent sequels. I say a two sequel lead up to Sinestro War would be awesome.

So DC and Warner Bros. are finally gearing up a Green Lantern movie and I am stoked. Martin Campbell is directing the script of Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. GL is in my top 3 of all time favorite superheroes. Rumors hit the net hardcore that Chris Pine is being offered the role of Hal Jordan. AWESOME. Here is a good pick of Mr. Pine, and if the name sounds familiar it may be because he is playing Capt Kirk in a little movie called Star Trek this summer.

I have seen this movie twice now and still don't like it. not one bit of it. what has made Iron Man and the Batman reboots so good is that it is taken seriously as a film property. Even the Tom Jane Punisher manages to do this. this movie however is a return to the kind of comic book movies that nearly killed the genre (I'm talking to you Batman and Robin). The Punisher character is all about revenge, someone killed his family so he wants revenge... on every criminal. I have seen many good revenge movies and I don't understand what is so hard about making a great Punisher movie. The fact that the gore was so dialed up in this one is insulting. Its as if they had it in pre-production and knew the script was terrible and one of the higher ups stood up and proclaimed "I got it!! We all know that the script sucks so what we should do is make the violence so graphic and outrageous that no one will notice. It works for the Saw movies every year." Egh. It did pass some cool minimates our way though so I can't be too mad.

I got the Captain America today. My only complaint is that his head is a tad too small. Although if you pop the head off of Resolute Duke you have Steve Rogers figure. So I have Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Deadpool, and wife beater Logan.

I really want these to come out.

I don't know who here has an iPhone but if you do you should download the watchmen app it has a really cool thing where you can design a Rorschach mask.
-
Am liking the matte effect of the paint apps for some reason
I like it too I think it is because it is the closest custome we have seen to the original Watchmen art.
-
I picked up Black Panther, Iron Man, and a third Deadpool today (which will be hitting my want have list). Aside from the rediculous price I really like these figures.
-
I can not wait for these to be released. I have an unholy lust for civilian minimates.

Slipknot
Tell me they wouldn't make cool minimates!
I know that I am a little late to this but I had to chime in due to the fact that it's the worst idea ever. I would rather have a Rosie O'Donnell Boxset. More Indiemates would be good though.

Anyone play NHL 09 here? My gamertag is GrayBush add me.

I just got home after watching the Watchmen and without getting in to it to deep I will say that I liked it for the most part but it is a lost to digest and for the first time in a long time I want to see it again so that I can form an educated opinion about it.
-
I got 2 of the Comic Deadpool from the Wolverine Origins line. It's a really nice figure but I agree with everyone on the price. Remember when Marvel Legends used to $9?

So I went to Megacon this year and like always I got some great minimate deals. I think that this year I got what may go down in history as the greatest minimate deal ever. I bought mates from 3 different booths.

2 of the Tony Stark War Machine and Spy Master sets for $5 each

2nd Booth

This is the one that you may not believe but I swear that it is true!! I asked the guy manning the booth how much for the minimates and he said “$5” after seeing a couple of boxsets I asked how much for those he said “$5”.

If this is the case why don't we skip eBay and have a silent auction on the board. We form some sort of committee to put a minimum price on them and then everyone can PM their offer, best one wins.
