  1. I don't read comics anymore, but what is the deal with Angela becoming a part of the Marvel U? Does her "character" fit any specific slot that wasn't already filled by an existing Marvel character, meaning what can she do that other characters can't?

Not much is really known about her role yet

She was just introduced in the final issue of Age of Ultron, where through a rip in the multiversal time stream (Wolverine broke space-time in Age of Ultron which caused different universes like "Ultimate" or "2099" to collide together) she is transported into the 616 universe.

She's supposed to be explained in the newest issue of Guardians of the Galaxy that comes out next month I think, which will be written by Neil Gaiman

  2. Nearly done with my first entry, most likely submitting three if everything goes according to plan.

Just need some clear parts. Anyone got any of the active camo Halo figures? Preferably the ODST or Chief but the Brute would work too

  3. Thanks Bob! The googles come from a GI Joe figure actually.

Regarding Batman: I left the design solely to BrobotC (he did the custom) because I had a hard time creating a Batman myself. I wasn't to thrilled to have him be part of the JLA anyways because (IMO) I feel Batman isn't realistically in the same league as Amazonians, Atlanteans, Cyborgs, etc I feel he's at his best on the streets of Gotham.

    Now for today, here's Carnage!

He's a revamp of the custom I did YEARS ago. Made the tendrils a little more detailed with the addition of some sculpt, added the Venom TTA neck piece, and created a blade extension from a GI Joe sword.

  4. Got a lovely gift last week from our resident German member with the Deadpool avatar!

Bob Harris surprised me with an awesome collection of comics and art that included the first issue of the series Robot13, a local mini-zine comic, and a super cool He-Man print! But he didn't stop there! The package also included the ever-so-cherished army builder Skrull! And finally, Bob included something that amazed me beyond words. His excellent Lobster Johnson custom! This was truly an amazing gift from one of our most amazing members! Again, thanks so much Bob!

  5. Well way to jump the gun as an attempt make this into something more than a discussion of the movie. I've never had a problem with you YB, but clearly it isn't the same on your end.

So...... how about that WAYNE enterprises satellite guys?

  6. But this isn't the Superman you "know". And I suppose until you and others realize that I guess it's hard to like the movie. He is still learning what it means to be human and has yet to balance his human and kryptonian morals and responsibilities. As for the Christ imagery, I found that very fitting for a modern adaption. It worked more so in here than in Prometheus.

Also laughing at someone's lazy eye, really? That's just lazy writing there laugh.png

  7. The lack of empathy he seemed to have for the city/killings will (hopefully) be used to set up the villain in the sequel. Like Lex rebuilding the city or a guy who was severely harmed in the destruction of the city becomes metallo, etc, etc.

  8. Here are things that should NEVER happen on screen, and if they do, that represents a fundamental flaw in the understanding of the source material:

    Captain America raping a woman.

    The Punisher shooting a kitten.

Spider-man using his abilities to become wealthy.

    Superman taking a life.

Go #@&$ yourself, DC, there's enough bad shit going on in the world without resorting to making an "edgy" Superman that is willing to take a life, especially in his reboot origin film.

Are you aware that Superman has taken lives in comics many times?

And are you implying what he did wasn't the right thing to do? Because if so, you are wrong. ;)

  9. Loved this movie. I loathe Superman in general so Snyder really hit it out of the park for me.

The only thing I didn't like was there was a Sears, iHop, 7-11, or Nokia showing up every 5 damn minutes of the movie. I never usually am bothered by product placement but it seemed really excessive.
