  1. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Wine-1615/2009/5/Old-bottle-der-Lachs.htm

The internet isnt very helpful on this one, the above link refers to a 1930s one with a response of "older" ones (such as yours) selling for $300-$400 a lot of sites seem to refer to there not really been a market for this kind of thing and its one of those "some people will pay a fortune, good look finding one" kind of things.

Theres some hints towards the fact that people might be more interested in the bottle than the booze, so if its a pretty bottle perhaps look into antique bottle collectors?

(Annoyingly google keeps sending me to some thread on a Minimates Multiverse where some guy is asking an identical question :D )

  2. If you've kept them MOC this long and don't feel any particular need to open them, I'd say leave them closed. I open all of mine. I... um... recreate dynamic scenes. With sound effects. But that's just me. If you like them MOC, leave them that way. Except for that Champions set. The Ghost Rider that comes in that set is super fun. I've never been a fan of the character, but I love that 'mate, and you really can't get the full effect of how cool his face is until it's out of the box and back-lit.

I have 2 Ghost Rider witch one are you talking about

  3. The thing with Battlebeasts (and IMO whats stopping the release of them) is down to the fact that DST doesnt know who to aim them at / cant market them properly without massive funds.

While I have no doubt there is a BB fan base, as has been drilled into us thousands of time they wont be big enough to support the costs of manufacturing the line (hell if it was so easy to sell them Hasbro would have) which leaves DST with the choice of trying to market them as a "boys toy" now considering brand awareness around that demigraphic is an all time low, theres no Cartoon, comic, DST dont exactly do TV advertising I dont see them been an easy sell to TRU etc, It strikes me that Captain Jacks Raiders is their way of testing the waters with a property like this, only with the advantage of getting into TRU on the coat tails of Minimates and Pirates of the Carribean.

Im sure if there was a cost effective and sane way of getting Battlebeasts out, DST would do it, they arent sitting on them just to spite you but when you look at tooling costs and the abject lack of interest from like everyone aside from the die hard few surely you can see why they're sitting on them? Hell Hasbro could relink them with TFs as they once were and sell em, they could have fitted them into Superhero Squad/Robot Heroes or whatever the hell and they still didn't bother. At the end of the day there just isnt a mass market out there desperate for tiny beasts that battle.

Slow and steady wins the race, once DST have a successful own brand property under their belt they'll probably look at them because tbh thats what Battlebeasts would be nowadays pretty much, an own brand property.

  4. so basically the entire panel was saying NO to this and that? wow....

Even battle beasts, which they have the rights to.

They still don't know how to launch BB after all this years. I now wonder if they will ever find a way to release them.

I doubt there is a decent way to launch Battle Beasts within DSTs budget.

On a related note, I watched http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Rebellion_on_Planet_Beast today. I forgot how much Transformers and Battlebeasts were linked outside of Europe.

  5. Man your a persistant one, almost every thread I've read recently has you asking the same or similar question.

What is it you're actually looking for? Block figures from years ago? Block figures of licenses from years ago? Block figures of a certain thing? Block figures of public domain licenses? One of your ambiguously worded threads seems to be asking about blok figures from 1900, as in made in 1900 of fictional works from around then? "Do you know of any more block figures featuring licensed characters from the 1900's to 1980's? " is an equally vague question, what licensed characters, or are you wanting a complete list of "block figure" based on any property that existed in that eighty year timeframe?

  6. Our current 'food cart beau' at work is Brunch-box which does amazing and yummy burgers that make you feel like you should eat them on the way to intensive care because a coronary is on the way.

That menu is the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

Add me to the list of possibles for next year, my Nephew from the UK has been bugging me (for nearly a decade) to take him to SDCC and I think he's finally old enough to make the trip to the US on his own.

    T.

Add me to the list of possibles too...!

  7. I FINALLY got myself an Animated Rodimus, sadly I didn't realise the JP version is more of a purple than a red. Its a lovely figure but it looks odd on my display of Rodimuses.

Thankfully I tracked down a loose US Animated Rodimus which is now on its way.

Almost have a full WST collection now including KOs... god I love these things. WST Grey Shockwave and WST Ultra Magnus are amongst my favourite figures ever.

  8. Downloaded and tested, the Free App is really nice. One thing that surprised me was the Gold and Silver Spidermans were listed.

I thought those were hand made exclusives by the original mini-mate fan team (3 website versions ago). Did not realize they were a true DST release as stated on the app. Now I have to try and buy them if they are indeed true DST release Marvel minimates.

They were an offical AA/DST release back in the day, and were frequently given out as a convention contest prize at the AA booth etc. 50 of each were made bagged, sealed and numbered with further unknown amounts of non bagged ones in existence. A lot of the gold ones ended up with Marvel Staffers, the silvers didnt and as such should be more plentiful but oddly arent. Not that either are paticuarly easy to find tbh.

The fan thing your confusing it with is the Bombmate.
