    They are not on the West Coast shipping list, so that means...Delay. When Cappy or Checker say they scored, that usually means you got a week left to wait.

    Hello,

    This is my first time asking questions.

    1) Has anyone at DST thought about doing research on the best selling Kubrick sets and creating similar Minimate sets to generate larger revenues from a larger fan base? This would be simply based on quantitative results from Kubrick sales. I ask because I see this as future revenue growth and creating an opportunity to offset the smaller sales generated by selling obscure sets to the die hard fans.

    2) Where are the Iron Man box sets?

    3) Is there a career opportunity at DST for a rep that can help the brand get shelf placement in the larger toy store chains? I could definately grow the brand (I have much experience), and would be interested in doing so.

    AFX shipping ripoff

    I called AFX and they gladly refunded the shipping from a combined box situation. They told me that there is a section on their website that explains if you have separate orders w/combined shipping, to contact them and they will issue the refund difference. They also said every box leaving the warehouse is in a new box, sealed properly, and that they have had numerous complaints about UPS damaging cartons, so they are in talks w/FEDEX. I feel very much informed after placing the call. I encourage anyone who has a valid complaint to reach out to AFX and give them a chance to help you. After all, I am 100% positive they need your business. And No, I do not work for AFX.

    Don't jump all over me like what happened to Cappy! I hope you are feeling OK Cappy, I got your back bro!

    AFX shipping ripoff

    Anyone have this issue...

    I put in 2 orders so I could get 2 Web Armor Spider-Mans. I paid $11 shipping on the first order and $14 on the second. Well they arrived today combined in 1 big box that was crushed and ripped. I weighed the box and went to UPS and the cost to ship was only $12. Now I understand padding it a little for handling costs but to combine shipping and not provide a refund on some of the shipping is highway robbery.

    I keep trying to call them and all I get is their voicemail. Does anyone have a number other than 866-SHOP-AFX?

    The same thing happened to me, crushed box and all. I'll give them a call on Friday. $10 is at least another set of minimates.

    Box mashed up and open, all shipped in one box (there is obviously a pattern here). I am going to contact them. $40 shipping for a $10 ship cost is unreasonable.

    Not arguing, not mad, but it is unreasonable. I run 14 businesses for a living, and I know they are in for profit, but they need to accurately find a system on how to charge the correct cost for shipping. This can be calculated with a simple formula based on ups charge and weight. I think it might make money sense for their customers to include usps shipping.

    Definately not the way to get repeat business...and I probably won't order again from them. I wanted the Spidey and my LCS did not order the BSG 3 or ST2, so I had to go online.

    Free Exclusive Web Armor Spider-Man Minimate Offer!

    I love this exclusive idea. We had no web armor Spidey offered to us fans, and now we do. DST makes money and stays in business, and AFX strengthens it's business in the MM world. Better for all of us collectors.

    I used to believe that shipping costs were way off, mostly due to shipping rape by the ebay sellers, but I encourage anyone who does not know how much UPS charges to send a package to go to a UPS store and calculate a cost. If you still are mad after that, then boo hoo on this thread.

    Thanks to DST and AFX for offering a chance to give us another awesome Minimate figure. I will enjoy playing with both of mine while reading threads where people are complaining about it.

Also, shouts out to Fujis, Jcastik, Jeff of the Minis, Cappy, Nervous, Reiden13, and Rad. And and even though I thought I would never say this, props to TBT, because even though he is a bit ill, he has glimmers of truth behind his obnoxious words. He brings that Jerry Springer, Maury Povich to the forum, so thanks.
