I picked up GI Joe-Rise of the Cobra tonight for $5 at my local Wal Mart. It was a bit of a hassle, but I finally tracked it down and found someone who could locate it. Red Dead is a great game Don, you should really try to find time for it.

As for what I'm playing right now, I'm trying to finish up Torchlight so that when the new one hits later this month I dont have to feel bad for not finishing off the first one.

Yeah, I'm thinking I might start playing different games at the same time. Maybe play one upstairs and the other downstairs. My game backlog is big I shouldn't buy anymore games for a while, but that isn't going to happen lol. How have you been. Received my Mirror Master yesterday and have to say I really like the simplicity of this character. Apparently his guns will fit in the holster(you have to switch out the gadgets), which just looks cool. Can't wait to have him on my toy shelf. Anyone remember who next months character is?

I kind of get the feeling that this might be the end of the subs and them testing the waters on either preorders or straight, come one, come all sales at the sites after this year. Definitely loved the sub's offering, but had to pick DCU due to financial constraints. I might pick these up at a lcbs if they signed up again this year. Which reminds me, I need to see if they did.

I signed up last week. I'm digging Phantom Stranger and think once I display my DCU I'm putting him Deadman, Swamp Thing and Constantine. Breaks my heart hearing about the Orion-Lightray 2 pack. I'd love to get Lightray in my collection. This was one of those things I saw once and then never again. Gotta love Matty's and TRU's distribution issues

I think I'm going to have my wife hide my Halo Reach game. I've been getting nutty with this and obsessed with the daily challenges on multiplayer and getting tired of these kids quitting in the middle of a game Yesterday was particular bad, seemed that all of the bad players got released from their work release programs and ended up on my team...frustrating Anyway, need to get back into Mass Effect and some other games I've been ignoring.

Man, wish I could. With the exception of Hamill, Ford and Daniel's I've got most of the major casts autographs. Between this and PAXWest, I tend to find out about them a little too late. Still hope everyone has fun.

I'm liking the rest of the DCU sub for this year. I'm not sure where I stand on re-upping. My wife is very supportive of my collecting but has ask that I not. I might see about picking these up on the secondary market. I could give two cents about the GL offerings, but I know some of you were excited about it. I ended up selling my Atrocitus to someone on another board. I just like the look of the DCD version of that, but not sure if I'm going to even try to get him right now. I don't know if there are many old enough to remember The Freedom Fighters from the 70's? I actually liked that teams original look. I also loved the old Doom Patrol. I wonder if they'll do Chief in the 13' sub? That might make the hard sell a little easier for me.

Yep, my birthday is the 21st and I turn 46 and my boy turns 3 on the 2nd. I've got to say this license has me jazzed about Mates. This, along with hearing about Kang and Alpha Flight finally getting made makes me want to play catch up.

I've read on various boards that Lou is kind of a ass, but I thought he was one of the nicest actors I've met. I think sometimes folks forget that he's deaf and is actually reading our lips when we talk to him. I think his daughter(?) was helping translate why geek boy babbling to him when we met him. I totally missed your pic of the Mr. T Minimate GH7. I got very lucky and picked up one of those from a old EB employee. I still need to pick up that SMITI KISS playset that someone else did for my KISS Mates.

I always wondered where the Tony Hawk stuff went. I like this thread mostly because I see now that a lot of the unproduced stuff did actually go to collectors like myself. Its easy not to be jealous because I know you guys appreciate the stuff as much as I do.

I think that's the nice thing about this community and why it is still on my radar...they seem to appreciate things. Once I get my collection in order I'll post some more pics.

Hmmmm....I think I'll check it out once it goes to video. Seems like a mashup of the previous movie and multiple other action films. As much as I like Karl and Lena's acting abilities this trailer isn't doing either one of them justice. Then again, John Carter was the same way and I thought that was one of the best, underrated movies I'd seen in a long time

Nice that you posted your Bomber Mate Shane and Storm 1:08. I ran across mine when I was moving my Minimates and collectibles to another room. I can't remember what number mine was, but it was cool when TBT made those. Definitely one of my most treasured Mates next to the one Nervous made for my wife and I's first anniversary. Now while these might not be as rare as they used to be, but I blame Shanester for getting me into these. I was a long time Silver Surfer fan and he told me about the single Surfer. Then when the GSXM was going for insane amounts on eBay he was nice enough to sell it for cost + shipping. Definitely one of my favorite memories of collecting right here. I can never say thanks enough to these guys for doing this stuff.

Not having read AF, would the robot head be better in the TRU exclusive vindicator? Just wondering which I should pick up an extra set of.

Nope, she was impersonating James McDonald Hudson, AKA Mac, AKA the guy in this set. I do believe, if memory serves, that the costume his wife Heather ended up wearing as Vindicator actually came from the imposter... but it's been a LONG time since I read those Alpha Flight comics.

Looks like you read it a bit longer than I did or my memories much worse than yours. I remember what happened to Marina(Spellcheck)and was a little disappointed with that. So here's my question, who is the current Vindicator? Is it James or another recruit? I seem to remember them pretty much killing off some of the original team a few years back? Not trying to sidetrack the thread anymore than it already has. I was just a fan of the original run. Is it possible the won't reveal another exclusive and split up the remaining teams into 2 packs? Is their rogues gallery big enough they could do that?

Any idea where I can find a Monsters Inc. Boo GH7? Have a buddy looking for this and haven't been able to find it at a Disney Store.

George Perez did a very good job explaining why her costume has a patriotic theme in the early issues of his run (still far and away the definitive WW).

One of my favorite interpretation of the character. Some really good storytelling came out of that and the initial Superman and Batman runs. Back on point. Yep, AA was farmed out to do the DC Mates. I can't remember the exact time line, but it felt like once DST bought AA the DC Mates were cancelled? I definitely feel that given DST track record with the rest of Mate lines it isn't out of the impossible for them to create the same success with DC Mates. Is it a long shot, you bet. Still, one can only hope someone somewhere pulls their head out and gives it a shot.

Love this set and can't wait to see the other set. Can someone fill me in on why Guardian has a robot face included? It has been ages since I read AF and I know his wife took over as Guardian, but that he had returned. Any guesses on who's in the second set? Shaman, Sasquatch, Aurora and Snowbird?
