  1. ^^I think it's the one nice thing about those automated mailer's Jadian, if you don't feel like dealing with that, you don't have too Me? I'm a freak and enjoy the standing in line for the most part and just try to keep my Christmas cheer. Otherwise that big stick I have for burgler's would be thrown behind the backseat of the truck faster than you can say Kris Kringle
  2. So did you make it up here or is it going to be during the holidays AJL?
  3. Wow, gorgeous Mrs. there Nervous, I could see you skipping next SDCC for good reason's Next year might be our last one, if things go as planned. So hopefully we'll all be able to meet up, not to mention convincing MPL and AJL to attend this time But that's for a seperate thread I think, congratulations and long life to you and your new family.
  4. It's cool Halo, I'm just not interested. I have my 360 and I'm happy, depending on what my buddy says, I might eventually pick up the P3 once the hype goes down. But for right now, I still have some games to finish on my 360
  5. Yeah, I think I'm going to take a pass on the Wii myself. Sorry, I still have some of those old workout videos/dvd's Not to mention I have a dog that reminds me that he wants to go for a walk everyday Something that perplexes me is some of you guy's attitude toward violence in your game, is this because your kids want to play it? Given the names of most of these games, some almost seem suprised at the language and violence. I think this is where Wii has a perfect target audience, as most of their games are aimed at younger players in mind. But that's just my 2 cents on the matter.
  6. Thanks for the advice gang, much appreciated. Debating on if I should order just before the holidays or right after. I have a little extra money tucked away, but like anything, I keep waiting for that other shoe to fall I definately like the Kubrick like packaging of these though, I just have the C3/LOTR flashbacks that keep me from fully committing to these It was definately refreshing to seeing the Chief playing with them(crosses fingers), maybe these will be more successful as a line.
  7. I've already pm'd Ady, but Reid, let me know if you need some assistance in finishing up the lists. I've noticed that most have gotten out, but some are having some unexpected problems and more than happy to help. Anyway, I have a little extra time this week before the holidays, just give me the word. Hopefully I can participate next year, as this year has been a full meal deal Happy Holidays everyone
  8. Nice pics, so is everyone recommending Stuckakid or AFX for the preordering?
  9. I honestly don't know if I have any grail pieces left. Right now the figure that is alluding me is the Fantastic Four Classic Series 2 Kang and the X-Men Classics Bobby Drake(Iceman's variant). But I've been very fortunate thanks to folks like Amazing.JL and Shanester who have helped me with some of my hard to finds at one time. AJL helped me with some of the series 1 Family Guy Peter and Stewie pieces and Shanester helped with some of the earlier Minimate releases. I would say I've been very fortunate thanks to people like them and the www. communities domestic and international Thanks alot gang, your some of the best traders out there and deserve a round of applause.
  10. Yes, it is unfortunate that the Fisher gene kicked in instead of the Reynold's gene to be honest. That must have been alot of booze and drink to mess her up the way she looks today
  11. You don't want to think about it, but your going to
  12. Yeah, if you do a google search under Dave Cockrum, it's the NYC Times article. There was a soundbite in USA Today, but this one actually seemed to be a little more personal. I remembering reading about his ongoing health issues last year and being stuck in a VA Hospital while his wife was at home in SC. I grew up on this stuff and comics was my first experience to collecting when I was younger. While some might think it's corrupting the young, it definately helped me throughout my school years.
  13. I was sitting here catching up with my e-mails and day to day when my wife, who was watching the news notices something about X-Men creator dead at 63. Well come to find out it was Dave Cockrum, who pretty muched reinvigorated a series that was pretty close to cancellation when he and Lein Wein picked it up as artist and writer to create the new team of X-Men. As a child I read alot of these issues, along with Avengers and many more comics than my parents could stand, so this news saddens me and I thought I would share this with some of my closest friends. So let's raise our glasses(or cups of whatever) to a legends passing, truly the world is a little sadder.
  14. Sorry Bruticus, but like Will Ferrel said, "Me like's the rumpy, rump"
  15. Nice renditions to say the least gentlemen. I swear everytime I'm in Spencer's and see anything with the word Pimp in it, I think of TBT. And every once in awhile I'll see something that's Hulk related and wonder if Shanester has picked that up yet.
  16. Yeah, I agree TBT. Ady is fortunate enough to have a vigilante team on multiple timelines that can catch these at various times. I think that helps when forum's have their team formed up like that, it certainly doesn't hurt
  17. Sorry if this is in bad taste, but take it for the humor it is...tasteless Most likely it's those fat fingered slaves that got sold after the piss poor paint applications they've been putting on all forms of collectibles these days Seems every board I belong to has been slammed recently Ady, so don't feel bad.
  18. Well, your definately in our neck of the woods for a few days. I was actually stationed up at Ft. Lewis 13 years ago Do you have family up here or is it just hanging out, regardless, would love to meet for drinks and put face to the name, depending on when your up here. I'll shoot you a pm the closer it comes to you getting up here.
  19. AJL, what exactly are you looking to do while your there? Kirby suggestion is spot on, as the EMP has something for just about everyone. My wife and I went there for the first time when they had the 40th Anniversary of Star Trek. Anyway, depending on where your staying in the area, between Kirby, Cappy, Resurrection Bob and myself, we can give you some tips on where to go. Another nice place is the Space Needle and Palisades restaraunts, both are a little on the pricey side, but the view is gorgeous from either place. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions, more than happy to help.
  20. It just goes to show, American's will do the damndest things to get free tickets to a concert
  21. Congratulations Nervous, best of luck to you and your lovely bride
  22. Picked up the set this evening, minus the variants this evening. Hopefully I can track these down once the weekend madness is over.
  23. I've heard reports of these hitting my area, but haven't seen them personally. From what I can tell they've only hit select Wal Mart's south of me or waay north of me in Cappy's neck of the woods Since I was experiencing some vehicle trouble's, my getting around has been few and far between. But now that I've gotten the problem fixed, I've been to broke to go toy hunting Hope to start getting out more next week, as I've missed the hunt. Cloneme, I'll have to doublecheck, but I think I might have 1 or both of the variants from the Sentinel wave. If you can give me a few days, more than happy to help
  24. Glad to know it's all just crap Ady, appreciate that. I'm more or less getting that for my wife, as she's the thinker in the family and is looking for a quest type game. Shane, like Ady said, easy as pie. I personally like the wireless one myself(got lucky, they came with the game), but you've got munchkins and can certainly understand using the corded one's. Still haven't used my Live yet, need to get that set up to upgrade or download something on my CTD2 game. Question for folks though, I heard there was something there that was crashing the 360, anyone run into this problem and what is it exactly? Since I don't use the console online, things like this worry me.
  25. Finally finished and beat the Ghost Recon game, but have another team set up to do things a little bit slower I don't want to give too much away, but I was a little disappointed with the last part of the mission's. For me, it came off very cheesy compared to the other mission interaction in the game. One I was amazed with personally and need to go back to was the Perfect Dark game. I haven't finished that one and not sure if I'm close to finishing since it's just me and the main bad guy at the moment. I have to say the cheesy dialogue worked better for that game than GR. Going to finally get around to Star Wars Lego this weekend though, since I'm still working my way up on the XB360, I should enjoy this a little bit more than some of the experts(prays this is true). Has anyone picked up the new Splinter Cell game? Looking forward to the new Call to Duty 3. Is there anything coming out on XB360 that folks recommend giving a look at. By the way Ady, going to pick up Oblivion the next time I meet my buddy at Micro City. Is there any real difference between that one and the more expensive one? Well, time to get some sleep, it's been a long day. Hope everyone is well and safe in their part of the world.
