  1. Hi, and many thanks for doing this. My question is, do you guys plan on having any other Marvel Minimate products on display at Febuary's Toy Fair besides the X3, Ghost Rider and Avengers lines, or are any waves beyond those too early in development to be shown?

  2. If Wave 2 comes out, I'll be tickled pink. These are the only minis I've bought the entire wave all at once, and love these things a ton.

If it turns out this would be the end, then I'll live. We'll have gotten the majority of core Street Fighters (only missing E Honda and Dhalsim of the original 8), and 5 of the best known Darkstalkers. While I'd die for the chance at a Hsien-Ko minimate, I'm now adjusted to the fact that it's, more likely than not, just not happening.

  3. Put me down on the list of not wanting varients in the future lines. I'm just not a fan of having to pay out the nose to get my hands on something packaged with a duplicate of something I already have.

  4. I found a Colossus / Nightcrawler pack yesterday. Too bad Nightcrawler's legs snapped off immediately.

Oh well, I have plenty of legs. I really just needed his unique parts for customs.

The SAME EXACT THING just happened to me on my Nightcrawler that I finally found today! And I'e wanted a Nightcrawler since I started collecting!

Oh, well, there were others on the shelf, still. I'll try again on Saturday.

  5. I'm a die-hard Darkstalkers fan, and it kind of pains me to hear they could have done this line harm. Still, if people know Marvel vs Capcom, which was an INSANELY popular game series for the short while it existed, then they know Morrigan, Felicia, Baby Bonnie Hood and Anakaris.

Regardless, I have to chalk it up to availability, specifically in spots where fans of Street Fighter would be more likely to find them. With Gamestop getting out of toys, the mass market 4 packs might be the last hope for this line at the rate things are going.

  6. Top 10:

    She-Hulk

    Scarlet Witch

    Black Panther

    Hawkeye

    Falcon

    Klaw

    Baron Zemo

    Songbird

    Gambit

    Pyro

    Spider-Man/Wolverine Variants:

Weapon X Wolverine (Black outfit, nightvision visor, like that old Toy Biz figure from the same year they released Longshot)

Six-Armed Spider-Man (So they can reuse the mold to make Spiral)

  7. The more time goes on, the more I think DST is going to desperatly need to hit one out of the park with waves 14 and 15. It's been stated before, but can't be repeated enough. DC Direct has created a product that basically shatters everything DST has been telling us about what should and shouldn't go into a Minimates wave.

Secondary Characters? Blue Beetle, Ares, Star Sapphire, etc, all in those first three waves.

Villains? 10 villains out of 24 minis is a decent ratio if you ask me, much better than anything DST has done.

Need for Varients? I just see one varient each for DC's two biggest names.

So now DC gives us this wonderful, varied product with different shaped heads, lots of new pieces and multiple new characters that are genuine surprises (or were at the time), while DST gives us only 5 actually new characters, tons of repeats and nothing but reused parts. It's depressing.

  8. Well, I've heard a couple things about Hasbro. The only thing I can confirm is a Marvel version of Mr. Potato Head. Something else I've heard, but cannot in any way confirm is that future Marvel releases will be in the same scale as Marvel Legends, and supposedly Toy Biz will still have a hand in developing them. Again, I have no means of backing it up! It was something I had seen on the Action Figure Insider forums.

  9. I think a Secret Wars set w/ good guys and bad guys would be awesome.

    B)

Bad guys? You want bad guys? What's wrong with you? :D

    I know, I'm weird, I like baddies

    B)

If you're weird, than I'm weird. BRING ON THE BAD GUYS!!!
