Would the mods please close this thread? It's now useless and annoying to me.
-
These are all amazing. Someone please let me know when the auctions go up, so I can promote them.
me too, I'll see if I can win one
on second thought, I probably wouldn't, but I could drive up the price

Not to be mean but,

glad your all alright

Found a Thor/Amaterasu in the Boston area but no Modok set (so far). Disappointed, but noticed that vehicles were on sale for $4.99. Picked up a M.A.X. stealth jet and a battlestar gallactica xylon raider.
where in the Boston area, which store

@Sky_Dive: I would have bought ,probably 3 of them( I like buying 3 or more of the same product...) It looked really nice.
let me guess 1 loose, 1 mint on card/in bag, and 1 for trade/sell/customs

Crap. I really really wanted that one for Christmas. It would have made a awsome christmas ornament.Right by my ginger bread customs, I'll be buying....DANG !
I know, I wanted 1 and now I'll have to wait because DST (no disrespect) can't put out these so they can focus on BB and Marvel. Oh also, fixed it.
Sorry, Sky Dive -- we solicit items to retailers (that means list them in catalogs, show them to buyers at shows, etc.) to gauge interest and to collect the majority of our orders for an item. We always hope that the number that are ordered is large enough to at least pay for the production run, with the added hopes that we'll sell more and it will be a profitable item for us. When the minimum order quantity for an item -- the smallest number we can order -- is (for example) 3,000, and the number of actual pre-orders is (for example) 100, we really can't justify the expense. The likelihood we'll sell enough to cover costs is low, and we'll lose money on the manufacturing. Sitting on a ton of Santa ships until enough Xmases pass to sell them all (30?) was not an attractive proposition to us.
We didn't cancel it so we could give more time to Marvel and Battle Beasts -- the time was already invested. We developed it as a holiday item for buyers, and we cancelled it because there was simply not enough interest outside of this message board. Marvel and Battle Beasts are unconnected, and if this had happened to either one of them, we would have done the same thing. (Although, since both lines have already been bought by Toys R Us, this sort of thing is less likely.)
Hope that clears things up. I'm sad we're not making it, and regret not doing more to promote it when it was up for order. It was pretty cool.
again, no disrespect, I just... had to vent. with all the things that are starting to change, I just had to say something

right, your just as helpful as that video

did Kuma come out yet? he's the one fig from the series that I want.
-
Thanks guys, I just wanted to prove to my mom that $25.00 for the carry case and the minimate was a good deal.
-
Anyone know how much the Red Alligator minimate from the carrying case usually goes for.
-
hoping you all stay safe down there. Also hoping it doesn't swing upwards.

Are we still allowed to have pics of the protos up? I thought we had them before and they had to be taken down because of the no-photography sign.
Do mods take down pics with "no photography" signs? That's awesome. Thank you mods.
They most likely will. Generally prototypes aren't done in translucent plastic because it's just easier not to or something. I don't mind the sold pink, but I am always for more translucent pieces.
We paint up prototypes using resin castings of sculpted parts sent from the sculptor. They're usually grey, I believe. They don't do special castings in different materials.
I'm intrigued, just in case what? Oh, and back to the main topic, any idea roughly when we might expect to hear the official results for this poll?
Just in case we can't do one of the others for some reason? We made the next highest vote getter in one of the categories.
I'll see if the voting on this set is closed. I think it is.
So Zach, if the set sells well, will we see the remaining Phoenix Force that weren't part of the poll possibly?
Let Chuck know you want them! (Ask DST!)
So the gray Vorin was just like what the prototype looked like?
-
well I lost, now, lets see everyone did a great job on their entries, and voting, if we did, would be a hard decision

Just got the SDCC set from Newbury Comics. I didn't realize how great these would look until I actually got them in person.

Just saw both sets (the Worthy and the Might) at a Newbury Comics in Boston along with the AvX x-men.

If this thread had a mascot, It'd be ScarJo Widow.
A clothing translucent ScarJo Widow
Is this what you meant. I hope not.
-
I would, but I don't have an old sentinel, and on search engines, it would take really long to find one of them.
-
Sentinel MvC3 is up, and again, please give feedback. Oh and I tried to break it up with more pics, but it looks longer now.
