Today I was able to pick up one of the toy story Imaginext Tri-County Landfill sets for 20$ shipped from TRU ebay for my son's collection. really want to convert it over to the Ace/Axis Chemical Plant ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ace_Chemicals ) for him since I pretty much got him every batman set in existence. My problem is I have tried about 10 times now and I pretty much have no photoshop skill. any chance any of you guru's want to help me out and make me and my sons day and make two labels to replace the ones u see in the pic?

Not really sure where this post would best be suited and Google just tosses me a line of crap and the one person I did know from Japan said if I send him one more email regarding the toy line he is going to put me on ignore as let me to this post..

When you find a toy line that really tugs on your heart strings and you are one of them OCD collectors that has to have everything but it is a line that is not in your country how do you go about obtaining it? Mainly the more rare stuff that comes along per say? I know for you outside the USA it is pretty easy to just throw cash at walls here and things go out but it seems like trying to do the reverse is pretty hard.

The line I am referring to for myself is the Takara Tomy Beast Saga line coming out... While most of the basic sets are up for pre order there are some limited edt stuff I know of that I would like to get my hands on but have no clue how to other than knowing someone from Japan (that dont block my emails lol) or flying there myself (also not happening).

Any thoughts?

I'm fine with Pirate, Zombie, or create a WHATEVER... so long as drawings are valid forms of entry. As I said very early on in this thread, I'm really no customizer, and never would have entered this contest were it customs only. I've tried my hand at it a few times and the results were between decent/okay to not-so-goodish... lol... So I was just glad to have a contest I could enter as a 2D Artist. (Not that there haven't been a few in the past, but many minimate contests seem to be custom contests.)

Let me draw it, and I'll do pirate, zombie, ghost, comic book hero... whatever the heck you want, lol.

Zombie would fit very well with Walking Dead prizes though, I'll note.

I just want to say, now that all is said and done, part of me REALLY wanted to do Bebop and Rocksteady Battle Beasts for this contest... but there are two of them, and the contest only allowed for one. I thought perhaps I'd call one my official entry, and one just a bonus, not up for judging... but I really didn't want to bend/violate any rules. Plus I know at one point it was said that entries could cross over, but it was also said they had to be your own creations... so there was grey area I wasn't clear on. If they'd be valid. lol.

Not just minimates OF them mind you, but Rhino and Warthog Battle Beasts. Their heads would be similar, and their color schemes probably too, but they'd have been armored and whatnot from the neck down.

They're not minimates, but I did these repaints of original battle beasts a few years ago.

Maybe it's because I primarily collect GI Joes, but when I first saw the Dragonfly I figured it was slapped together with pre-exsisting parts because they didn't have any of the new parts yet (Which Zach confirmed). I'm assuming many of the LRG guys aren't used to that concept happening in their toylines.

I will say the dragonfly is the lesser of the three I've seen, but I expect the rest of the line will look more like the Gator and Vorin (and be awesome )

LRG really just want the same exact thing we had in the 80's. Anything new at all is crap. They just can't seem to grasp that what they love still exists, and they're not making new ones. They're not use to concepts like, moving on, or letting things go.

some are but was just expecting something awesome then we got Zik lol. I have read the ashcan like 5 times now just waiting and keep looking at the pics on how awesome these guys are going to look then I see zik.. :/ I do have a awesome gator custom in the works tho!

Zik is very different from the rest of Series 1. We needed someone for Vorin to fight in this two-pack, and Zik was the route we went. Series 1 figures are still in development, and will be debuted at SDCC.

What booth will you be at? I will want to send my guy to you to get the best swag OFC ;P still not a fan of Zik but I have faith..

not going to lie.. i r a sad panda but I still have some faith in the line Zik just wont be on display lol
