  1. Yeah, I could never get all four in my cart at the same time and check out. Venom/Nova came in stock around the time Spidey/Electro went out.

And yes, SAVE15, code good til Thursday.

  2. He was a 'Supernova', black helmets, sort of a black op Nova squad. That was as much of an explanation that they gave, they didn't want to make the reader deal with too much continuity or logic.

I'm always annoyed by that theory. Yes, comics should reach out beyond the core of current comic readers, but let's not ignore or belittle the comic readers that already exist. You can do both, appeal to new readers and old.

  3. Ok, found Kofi, Santino, Sandow and Sin Cara at K-Mart today, $9.99 each. Sorry for the bad pictures, just wanted to get some quick ones done.

The holes along their side (1 rib on each side, 1 ankle on each side) and back aren't as bad as I was expecting, they actually help posing for slams and moves.

Feet are angled, so they need 3 building block stud spaces to stand. It does make them pretty sturdy though, all stand well without their stands.

Sin Cara is the same size as Sandow, no real size difference between the 4 figures I got. Pretty close in size to Minimates.

WWE arms and pelvis fit into Minimate body pretty well (arms are a little tight). Minimate arms are very loose on the WWE body, and Minimate pelvis barely fits into WWE body. Heads don't work at all. WWE neck ball is way bigger.

    Other notes....

-Sandow comes with extra flesh arms, so he can be disrobed

-The belt comes with Kofi, I just gave it to Sandow

-building sets are iffy in quality. A little soft, don't lock as well as a certain 'Major Brand'

-surprised to see the C3 Construction logo back

  4. I wouldn't say harder. Lots of clues to help you along. Yeah, there are a few frustratingly difficult things to obtain, but eventually they seem to work themselves out.

So much for taking a break. Now I'm at 87%. Got all characters except Stan Lee, all vehicles. Working on minikits and Stan Lee from the story levels, then eventually the flying races.

Ground races get really easy when you get Ghost Rider's bike.

Hitting a couple of glitches? Saved Stan Lee from a balloon above the circus, now it shows he's still there. The arrow points at blank space in the air. Also collecting 11 of 10 minikits in one story level, interested to see how that turns out when I get all the others. Checking GameFaqs looks to be a common error.

  5. I've been messing around with Novas. Trying not to do any painting or modification so if I get bored with these I can send their heads back to their original figures. Figured anything that wouldn't go on display or fit into my plans was fair game.

Those are my fun ones, snake, bear and his helmeted robot translator, and 90s style leather jacket battle scarred Nova.

And all together (without Sam or the wave 23 Nova), with a bunch of simple head swaps.

  6. Definitely the highlight of the shows I've been to!

Me and my buddies were really into it for awhile, hit a few WWF/E PPVs in Milwaukee (KoTR 96, Over the Edge 98 Dude Love vs Austin, No Way Out 2002), some ECW shows toward their tail end when they made it to Wisconsin, even a WCW PPV (Mayhem) toward their end. We all still watch a bit, but with nowhere near the enthusiasm (and we have all moved around the state)! I got into RoH for a little while, made a few trips down to Chicago Ridge, but lost interest there also.

  7. Added another 3% last night (56% now), made it to 125 gold bricks so did the reptile mission in the park.

Unlocked the 8X red brick, 10 or so gold bricks, a couple characters (Future Foundation Thing & Curt Connors) and a few vehicles.

I've gone back and completed some of the minikits and stuff in the story levels, but that gets tedious.

I don't see the point of vehicles in this game. YOU'VE GOT ROCKET BOOTS!

  8. Extra super nerdy totally out of left field thought - Who is the 'devil' telling Bray Wyatt to attack Bryan and Punk?

KENTA. He's coming to take back his signature moves, the knee kick and GTS.

(That is about all the Japanese wrestling I know, I saw KENTA on one of his US ROH tours - against Bryan Danielson- back when I was really into it).

  9. Anyone seen Rulk?

He's over in the Columbus Circle area I think.

I'm at just over 50% so far. I had a few conveniently timed extra days off work last week, but now I'm back, so I'll be chipping away at it a little at a time. Right now just wandering the town trying to build up enough gold bricks for those levels.

  10. $15 gift card when you buy it at Toys R Us (any platform). Beats the Wal-mart Iron Patriot or the LEGO keychain elsewhere (plus the extra downloads don't seem to be available for the Wii U... surprise).

Now it's just sitting here on my desk at work. Another 3 hours, but then I've got the next five days off with very few obligations!

  11. Loved that era of X-Force (for a short amount of time). It seems really cliche and trite now, but 17 year old me was blown away by the closed fist/open hand discussion from issue #19. Whooooa man, that was deep.

Lost interest within the next year, never quite lived up to the idea from that issue.

(Yeah, I'd rather have X-Factor, but this is fun!)
