Wow! Zach, that is so above and beyond! My t-cats paint apps didn't rub off on Lion-O and Panthro, but I was always afraid they would. Now I won't have to worry about it. I'll switch them out when I get the 4th set just in case. I just really don't see this kind of customer service, character selection, nods to fans in terms of accessories, etc from any other company right now. I have been so please with all of my Minimates purchases. I hope they continue a loooong time!

I have to say, I am really excited for this one! It was already a must-have because of Mumm-ra the Everliving and Ma-mutt, but seeing this now, and seeing that Jaga comes with both old and young faces, and a white hairpiece for his helmetless look, I am really stoked! Icon Heroes and Art Asylum really did this brand right. As a huge Thundercats fan, of course there are more I want, but we really got everybody that was vital, and a couple more! These have all been top notch in terms of the new sculpted pieces, the tampos, the colors, all of it. I have bought 2 of each set because I love them so much! Pass along my thanks, Zach! There have been some major disappointments as a Thundercats fan lately, with the cancellation of the cartoon and the cancellation of the Bandai figures, Hard Heroes statues, Icon Heroes statues, Pop Culture statues...the list goes on. You guys are the only ones to give us all the vital figures since the vintage line! I'm still dreaming of Silverhawks and Tigersharks figures....But I am very happy with what we got. That's the thing I love so much about Minimates. We always get the whole team, and those teams that ARE unfinished, I really feel like we will get them if at all possible. This is why I love this line!

From their reply to me yesterday, it really seems like it isn't something they are currently pursuing, but if more people inquire...you never know! Either way, we still have some awesome Thundercats Wave 5 minimates to look forward to.... The 4th character and the pack-in mini-figure (maybe a berbil?) are still a mystery to me, so I really cant wait to see what's in store. I also wonder how Pumyra's weapon will be portrayed. The weapon included with the toy looked pretty different than the one in the cartoon, and both were kinda nondescript! The thunderkittens' weapons were the same way, but DST did a great job bringing those to life. So excited!

I sent Icon heroes a message saying we NEED Silverhawks (and Tigersharks) to go with these amazing T-cats, and they responded that they were currently not planning on doing anything with either one, but you never know down the line. I think people would be all about some Silverhawks Minimates. Maybe not so much Tigersharks, since they were more obscure, but Silverhawks would be just amazing! Ah, well, I'm still so grateful for the amazing Thundercats stuff that I won't be too disappointed! Really can't wait to see this 5th set!! Wes

Zach, you've made me an incredibly happy (and geeky) Thundercats fan! Will we be seeing design drawings or pictures of the actual figures? Also, is there ANY way in a million years that we could see Silverhawks mini mates?

So do we think we are going to have to wait until SDCC for the 4th box set and pics of the 5th, or do we think something will be coming out sooner? I'd love to see some production shots of the fourth set and maybe control art for the 5th, as well as learning how these are going to be available, be it convention exclusives like the first 2 or online exclusive like the third.

Blob is seriously amazing! Love the hair choice as well. Is the face an Eddie Brock? Really hope we get an official release of him sooner rather than later.

Hey guys! Let's see about those recipes: Generation X Emma was a First Class Emma head, some modified Trish hair, plain white legs and arms, boots from Photon I think...and a coat/bodice thing from Deanna from BSG. Skin had a Terrax face, maybe Wonder Man hair (the more classic one), Silver Centurion Iron Man chest, Terrax arms and lower legs too I think. The feet and elongated fists came from a gray hulk. I think that's pretty accurate, but I might have mixed some of it up. I've been working a few more really easy QCs and upgrades that I'll try to post soon.

Thanks for the update Zach! So excited for this!! I am thinking it will be Pumyra, Bengali, Lynxo, Rataro and (from what Zach said) another Berbil. I suggest Berbil Belle. A berbil would be appropriate for this set too, as the berbils are the ones who rescued the new Thundercats. I still think Snarfer could be a good choice too though. I'm just so happy that this line will continue a bit longer, and it really is surpassing expectations in all ways! The Silverhawks and Tigersharks really need to happen.... Just make them convention exclusives. 2 or 3 boxsets of each would do it... I know I'm dreaming, but I never thought we'd get the Thundercats in such a complete and amazing way, so the floodgates have opened! Wes

Hey guys! I was just re-reading some comics and I was reminded of the fact that the dystopian future that was shown in the Days of Future Past storyline was supposed to actually be happening in the year 2013...so I think we need a Days of Future Past Minimates set to commemorate the occasion! This storyline was also when the Mystique-led Brotherhood appeared with Destiny, Blob, Avalanche and Pyro...so maybe they could somehow figure in too! This would also be a neat time to get a Senator Kelly mate, and maybe the variant could be Older Green Jumpsuit Kate Pryde and Sprite! Could also be the time to do a Storm classic redo since she was still wearing her classic costume during this arc. We could also get a less primitive looking DFP Wolverine. Oooh, and more Sentinel army builders! That's probably waaaaay too many characters for a wave but just some ideas...Maybe a box set in there too... Wes

In the LJN toyline, there was Berbil Bert (the blue one) and Berbil Belle (the female with a flower), in addition to the Bill that you guys already made. Snarfer might make a neat pack-in too for the 5th set, since he was kinda the new Snarf and the other guys rumored to be in Set 5 were the new T-cats. Any idea when we could see control art or pics of these? These really are just the nicest sets. I have been buying 3 of each set just to show my support. That IS something to think about, Zach! Having them be the same height as the others is certainly preferable to having them be taller. The shorter arms and legs do make them look more child-like when looking at them out of the context of the other mates. I know you guys always have reasons for the design choices you make, and I'm still REALLY happy with these. When do you think we might learn if the Pumyra/Ben-Gali/Lynx-O/Fourth Guy set will indeed be coming?

Hey Guys! Just got my Series 3 sets!! First, let me just say that Thundercats are my FAVORITE property out there, and so I was an easy sell on these, but I also had high expectations. That being said, here are some of my thoughts. *Wilykit and Wilykat- They look great, but they are not any shorter than anyone else! It doesn't bother me, really, but with the new arms and legs, I really expected them to be shorter. Maybe it is their hair pieces o their belts/skirts, but they seem just as tall as the other figures, only they've lost some articulation. Not a huge deal, but definitely worth noting. *Cheetara is perfection!!! She looks amazing, and someone finally got the colors and the hair closer to the animated look! I love that she comes with her staff in it's shortened form too, to attach on the side of her bracer. Some type of running base (kinda like Mattel did with Young Justice Kid Flash) would have been nice, but these are always so chockfull of accessories, I will never complain. *Tygra- Also super! I love the way his whip works. It is in it's collapsed form. Then you can take it apart and attach each end to the extended form. Genius!! With all of the figures together now, I do notice a couple things. One is that I wish Ssslithe was a bit bulkier. I like that he is hunched over, but I think the fat, Hulk-type legs would have been good for him. Also, with everyone's very large...manes, I suppose, Panthro's head looks really small! Maybe he could have benefitted from his face being painted (and ears sculpted) on a slip over mask like Spidey minimates sometimes have. Then maybe the head underneath could have just had the ears painted on the sides and been an ode to anyone who likes their mates pure with no added, sculpted embellishments. Once again, not at all a big deal. His head just looks a little small now in comparison to everyone else. I can't say how awesome I think these are and how much I love the way these sets were handled. I love that they included these core characters first to make sure we got our main teams of heroes and villians. I love all the accessories. I love that we got the extra pack-in characters of Wolfrat, Snarf and a Berbil. I love that these are continuing and that we'll get our Mumm-ra the Everliving, as well as a potential New Thundercats set. I also love that the Thundertank and Cats Lair can be used so nicely in conjunction with the mates. In short, thank you Art Asylum and Icon Heroes!!!!! If there were no more of these released, I could be satisfied with what you've given us, but I am so stoked that there will be more! Now about those Silverhawks and Tigersharks..... Wes

I got a couple sets from the AFX site and one from their eBay store. I got my tracking number for my eBay order, but nothing from the site order yet. Glad that's the trend though, because I was starting to worry. Really can't wait to see these in person.

My set is supposed to arrive on Friday, so I can definitely post pics then. Though if someone gets theirs before that I'd love to see!

Not as psyched about the next set, but at least we will finally get Mumm-ra the Ever-living and Ma-mutt. REALLY hoping they make good on a set with Bengali, Lynx-o and Pumyra! Still really curious on who the fourth figure will be and also who the mini character will be. I'm thinking maybe Ratar-o for the fourth and Snarfer for the mini...There are other possibilities though... Really excited for these! Wes

Love all the pictures! I really like how the Wilykat in Wave 3 comes with his smoke bombs too! I definitely think Wave 5 should have Lynx-O, Pumyra and Bengali along with Ratar-o as the fourth figure and our first ever Snarfer as the mini-fig. I'd really love to see how they could tackle a Lunattacks set too.. but I don't want to be too greedy. Don't even get me started on adding Silverhawks and Tigersharks to the mix....

Really can't wait for the 3rd set of these to hit! So many companies were making various Thundercats figures and statues lately, and none of them have managed to really get out all the heavy hitters before going under, and it looks like Minimates is going to do it! To me that's always been one of the wonderful things about the Mates, that they are willing to commit to doing the whole team. I'm not too happy about the 4th box set (Mumm-ra Ever-living and Ma-mutt are, of course awesome and necessary, but I'd have preferred Ben-Gali, Lynx-O and Pumyra before Grune, Young Lion-O and Younger Jaga. Hopefully the rumored 5th box set will come out with the three new T-cats, mini-Snarfer and Ratar-O. After that, it would be incredibly awesome to see a Lunattacks box set...Do I think that will happen in a million years? Probably not, but it would still be cool! Wes

I just finished up kit bashing Professor X in his yellow jumpsuit, a 90s Dazzler, Pryde of the X-men Kitty, Polaris in another of her X-factor outfits, Val Cooper and Sunspot. Once again, I had to take some real liberties with these costumes since I only use existing parts. I'm going to start posting recipes for all my customs too, to the best of my abilities to remember! I have forgotten where a lot of these came from at this point because I have such a huge box of disassembled minimate parts! If there is a certain part that I don't know that you really want to know, I can do my best to research it and figure it out. I decided that i really want my customs to just include pieces that are already out there as opposed to me painting, making decals, sculpting etc. So with this batch (some of which i have posted before) everything you see is 100% kit bashed, no mods with the exception of me painting the Blob's fat suit because one did not exist.
